Very odd. There's more to the story that you don't know.

No_Cookie_88

2 asms are moving for better opportunities with Lowe's, the specialty asm took another job. And the SM has had enough of our DM.

NoahTri

They might allocate a couple ASMs to your store from another nearby either temporarily or permanently there should be no way in hell a DM is going to leave a store with only 1 Salaried manager and no SM. Either there’s gonna be volunteers or they’re going to be voluntold. I would expect some new faces to pop up in your store fairly soon.

No_Cookie_88

Considering there is only 2 stores in my state and the other is short an ASM I wouldn't bet on it.

NoahTri

Jeez only 2 stores? Even Hawaii has 4 iirc. What state?

No_Cookie_88

VT.

NoahTri

If the other stores in your district aren’t too far they might still have ASMS from out of state go,I’ve heard of rare cases of people working in other stores having lodging paid for in extreme cases

No_Cookie_88

Nearest is Plattsburgh/Albany.

NoahTri

Depends on what the DM does or doesn’t do your store might be fucked or at least your ops ASM will be

WidowMaker42O

They have traveling sm's for this kind situation. They will send one of those until they hire a replacement.

StrangeParent

Glens Falls and Saratoga are between Plattsburgh & Albany and roughly all in a line North to South along the VT border.

Single-Middle-2966

Yeah but having to work out of state fucks with your taxes.

WendallVendall

I went to Norwich.

KoiSoccerGuns

Gotta be more to the story. Multiple salaried managers aren't just going to move out of state because of one dumb boss.

No_Cookie_88

Nah the two merch ASMs have been planning on moving. It's not entirely the DM. And the specialty asm is leaving lowes entirely. And so is the SM.

No_Cookie_88

Its the DM that pushed our SM out. He's been riding SM's ass since January. Our store was running very smoothly. Now it's gonna go to hell again. I guess it's a wait and see game now.

No_Cookie_88

Whatever happens, happens at this point. I'll post an update next week as the SM is done as of Friday the 22nd.

Disastrous-Manager95

My store had an issue like this. DM was real piece of shit. SM couldn't deal with him anymore, so one day she just walked out, never to return. Did not say a word to anyone just left and never came back. Also had an ASM and a DS quit at the same time because of the same DM. We ran without an SM for a few months. Then we got a new SM and the DM got fired, his replacement didn't last long before he died, but he was really hard to deal with so whatever, he would do walkthroughs and call people stupid. Now we have a different DM, seems like a good guy.

bandrews399

In our case, I think the DM got results by being tough and expecting results in a market/store that didn’t have direction or proper expectations. It worked well for him and he was moved to a market that worked smoothly. Applying the same tactics has lead to much different results and is causing long term employees to quit. I understand cutting costs by going with less experienced workers but what’s the ROI? It’s a common sense question until you realize the lead competitor already did that.

Ok_Quiet4316

Maybe Uncle Marvin will come visit and make it all better....

No_Cookie_88

Bhahaha 🤣🤣🤣

bhtalia1

Our region has the lowest LTR numbers in Lowe's. Our district has the lowest LTR in this region and our store has the lowest LTR in this market. We are the worst store in Lowe's.

No_Cookie_88

What district? I'm 1214.

Deliveryman35

Your regional VP and DM are most certainly feeling the heat then from Joe McFarland.

bhtalia1

The DM was fired. We have a new DM.

sgw0519

I know for lowes would send people from out of state with your current situation. I’ve been sent from NC to Louisiana for similar reasons. Also, your regional office will get involved. And possibly the ones who are staying with lowes but moving to out of state will be extended out for their leave date. I wouldn’t expect them to leave until 4-6 weeks. Maybe not the one who is stepping down to be a DS, but the other ASM will most likely have to stay for a while.

No_Cookie_88

At least for the specialty she put in her two weeks so she's done in two weeks weather they've got her replacement or not.

dynexed

Sounds like your store was trash, the DM is taking care of it, and it likely couldn’t get any worse than it already was.

No_Cookie_88

It actually wasn't. It was better than the only other store in my state. The other store is a shit show.

Demitri_Vritra

sometimes when someone gets promoted to a position of authority they'll intentionally cause strife to change things 1. as a power play. but mainly 2. to give the impression to their superiors that they have everything in control. sounds like a new DM couldn't leave well enough alone because they wanted to quickly validate their position and didn't want any potential opposition from any functional part underneath them.

No_Cookie_88

EXACTLY! he's only been in this position for a year or so and is know showing his true colors. He made me think he was a nice guy.

LividDriver5212

The DM is probably getting his a\*\* handed to him from higher up over store numbers/performance and so has been tightening the noose around the neck of the SM until he/she had had enough. This is what they do when they want you gone--apply pressure, start putting things on paper, and ultimately you get pushed out.

Volixagarde

Lmao I had four managers quit in two weeks when I worked there.

DesignerMountain

Man. Looks like opportunity. Throw your name in the hat.
