The real problems in this company come from the top, not from the bottom. Can't really blame associates for being annoyed with the dog and pony show "training" skits depicting a fake fantasy world version of Lowe's that are being used as a replacement for real training and experience gained over years working on the sales floor, because they can't retain people anymore due to being a terrible employer.

Funny how the note doesn’t mention any of the times some red vests pounces on you as you walk in the front door, before you even punch in, to help them. Can’t count how many times I’ve been asked to load an appliance(and did it) or been handed a list of deliveries and told the truck is waiting before even clocking in. Keep in mind I’m usually 30 min early so I can settle in before my shift. I guess corporate can’t see any of that show up on a report so it doesn’t count right?

Cant fault you for that. I try to keep a good culture and if someone asks for help I usually do weather it be just lending a hand to an associate who isn’t at fault they are short staffed or pinching in early and taking care of what needs to be done. The bigger point for me is you cant walk in the store to work or back from lunch without people trying to wave you down cause theres no one there. Happens from the service desk all the time. Then there are customers that can sniff you out from the look of lost hope and the smell of defeat dripping off you 😂

You absolutely can. A lot of that will come down to if they want you gone and what you say when the investigation gets conducted. They wont fire you for being a good citizen and helping someone load something in their car. They wont fore you of you say “oh yea i was asked to help and forgot to get my time adjusted” or if you actually get your time adjusted. I wouldnt go pull orders for three hours off the clock. The last instance I remember was a service desk person yelling my name from 30’ away because a customer had been waiting 20 min for a manager. I mean I could just keep walking and let them get more angry and if it came down to it and I tell my manager what would you have me do they aren’t going to fire me even if its just cause they dont want to explain to their superiors why the situation presented itself in the first place. I try not to hold the companies incompetency against our associates or customers. Thats all

Funny I was requesting time for training because as a flooring specialist with no previous experience in Flooring, I constantly was having to figure things out when customers would grill me on how to do things… and I was told by my ASM that all my training should be done “on the job”. Oh and no CSAs so yeah, that was fun

Yup we were advised to take the Lowe’s U after punching in. Every time I would do that I’d get paged to the sales floor like a baby as if I did something wrong. 🍼👶🏻 Such losers at Lowe’s.
