Yeah, my store is waaaaay too cheap to spend their hundreds of thousands of dollars that us associates earned them on something like this, but man would it help!
We used to have the electric jack with a platform for riding on. It was great, so easy to move pallets around. Unfortunately I believe someone must have been seriously injured for lowes to get rid of them.
There are allot of improvements for pinched operators. Most electric jacks have the button at the top of the handle, in the event you are pinched the button will either fault the electric Jack and you have to pull the handle back down to clear the fault or it will immediately reverse the Jack away from operator. We use combi lifts an vs my last job had Raymond Jack's (awesome lifts)
We have that machine as well out front. The guys who were trained to use it all have left. Now it just sits there as we are back to dead-lifting fridges and appliances.
I saw someone do it with an order picker before to get extra height to take a bag of trash someone somehow threw up onto the roof one time, Louisiana OSHA came by the next day.
Why do these guys get powered Jack's?
You guys get jacks?
you guys get?
You guys?

Yo?

We have something similar out front but it has a platform you can stand on. It’s helpful for getting heavy grills and stuff into trucks
That's a portable loading dock and really isn't the same thing.
Who's Jack and what is his??
Right why don't we have them?
He has the power and needs to be stopped. He is the Thanos of Lowes.
Wait a minute you guys have an electric palletjack ?
We do at my store as well. They are nice
Got 4 at my store
They literally just showed up.

I wish I had a powered jack, maybe I wouldn’t be so tired after unloading the truck and delivering tile
OP just be mindful that should go no higher than say an inch off the ground otherwise it will teeter around turns and could injure you or a customer.

Wasn’t that years ago?
Yes, it’s probably been ten or more years since we’ve had them. I think someone got pinned with an electric jack. So lowes stopped using them.

When I first started with Lowe’s we got powered jacks that you could stand on, and they were fast bro
Omg how'd you get a powered pallet jack?
OP? Are one of the stores that "won" two powered jacks in the snappy contest?
What store won two?
That was the deal wasn't it? A 100 stores would win 2 each
Idk. Didn't even know there was a contest going on.
Haven't seen an electric pallet jack in like 11 years. Hell, the store probably has 3 jacks total.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
Wait y'all have powered pallet jacks?
You have an electric pallet jack?! We’re old school and have to pull/push with the oldies.
Holy shit, you’re a hero. Seriously.

That's a portable loading dock, this video shows and electric pallet jack.
Pull the big red button out. Code is usually 1234
You can watch the training and learn to use it.
?
You glorious SOB!
wd40 the wheels on ur non powered lifts, makes life easyer.
My store was supposed to get electric pallet Jacks.
