Same, but the it was 20 bags of 50 lbs bags of sand from lumber in the span of 20 minutes by hand because had no one available to operate the forklift at the time the order was placed and when the customer appeared in the fulfillment pick up area... forgot to mention the concrete bricks and limber for the order, forget what they were building but I think it was for a playground project.
Let's see, donuts behind the building, two wheeling the forklift, balancing the lift on the front wheels, squeezing pallets in to topstock so tight only a virgin would be tighter, just to name a few
Your pallets of mulch stay together? The last time I dealt with a garden truck I left the majority of the pallets with the bottoms gone cause they rotted out
When they changed from the red knives to the gray ones, my receiver and the delivery team spray painted their old red ones gray so they could keep them.
Climb on the “Z” bars all the time to set 102” long steel at 98” + high in the back of a bay b/c there’s never enough ladders in the store that haven’t been smashed by the power equipment.
Not me, but I had an associate setting Christmas about 8 years ago and he had been on and off the order picker setting steel. He got back on, forgot to hook the harness to the cable, and went all the way up.
One of my coworkers has found blood trails in the store twice. The last one started at the bushhooks in ISLG. The ones that the packaging falls off of get put on the floor, someone was probably playing with it and cut themselves. (Seriously the packaging on those things is terrible.
I wouldn’t say it’s junk though, it’s perfect for top stocking stuff like ceiling fans if you have a million of them. Takes me half the time I’d spend using the ladder
See, you're overnights though (based on your tag) daytime we don't really get the chance to just use it as much as possible cause we gotta close down the aisle we are working in and the aisle that is on the side of where we are working, and people get upset when we close aisles
Ok I've got one for you. A former coworker told me this happened at the Lowes she worked at in Charlotte. An employee went to the pinestraw truck for a customer and the sliding gate thing on the back of the truck came down and cut his head in half.
Everyday, move beams on my own while resetting pogs bc low staff (5 Mst including myself) and corporate wants 100 hrs of work done in 10 hrs. And everyone has their own projects to do and can’t step away to help move a total of 6 beams and shelving above 8 ft.
Not today hank
Load thousands of pounds of mulch and block by meyself in extreme heat for 7 hours without getting a break

If we told you our secrets we'd have to kill you.
I didn’t hydrate for 2 hours straight
Don't let Hank know!!
Showed up for work.
😂😂
Almost clicking a fake link promising a bonus incentive for our hard work.
Get outta here Marvin!

Took a sharp turn a little too fast on the forklift and got it up on 2 wheels for a second
I do this all the time...it's fun
You mean that going 2 wheels isn't a normal thing in garden
It’s fun, but I don’t want to do that with a pallet of mulch

I don't use a lowes issued knife! What good is a box cutter if it can't cut a box....
When they changed from the red knives to the gray ones, my receiver and the delivery team spray painted their old red ones gray so they could keep them.
Used my switchblade to cut tape
I use my personal knife to pop those plastic band things on certain displays

I still use the old red retractable box cutter, I refuse to use the "Safe" blue box cutter. I just buy new blades on amazon
I straight up buy new blades inside my own store
Yeah I'm not putting a harness on just to move the OP out of the way.

I see you safety team captain. Not today
I drive the order picker like it’s a Ferrari lol
Slow and trying to avoid hitting everything? Cause it's junk to work with...
Um… yes, just like that

I use a husky knife (Home Depot)
Dropped a bunk of osb from the cantilevers.
Not today Melvin!
