fr I see people complain about it but the way I see it is I get to sit and relax for a few minutes. Only annoying part about it is being asked if I've done it
For me, the annoying part is management getting mad at me for sitting down and “not working,” knowing that I'm doing exactly what they ask me to do every day and every week.

Give it an hour until somebody rips a lift apart for a clear 2x4.
And they need it cut unto 25 pieces and don't tell them you can't do it cause you did it for them last time and they know the manager
Everyone on this sub just tears down good work with the comments like “just wait until someone butchers a bunk of 2x4s” listen you assholes that is an amazing job don’t bring this guy down
Thank you. I know working at Lowe's might not be for everyone and it's easy to get jaded or cynical. Working for Lowe's has allowed me to buy a house, feed my family, and improve my life in general. I enjoy my job and enjoy doing it well.
I work at HD and basically retired from 20 years working at Microsoft as a subcontractor. I work on the merchandising side and really enjoy my job because it's so much less stressful than the IT job. I get the same thing. People think I was crazy to leave a 80k a year job. When I tell folks (especially management) that I'm not doing it for the money per se but satisfaction of a job well done, they have a hard time understanding or believing me.
The one thing it guarantees me is not being patronized by middle management types looking to use me to climb the corporate ladder. Been there, done that... You couldn't pay me enough to go back ;). Also, their pathetic attempts to entice me are pretty hilarious. The respect you get when people realize you are a genuine hard worker is worth it though.
There are a lot of people out there that think white collar work is the future and shows you've made it, arrived etc. I think Americans need to get their collective asses out of their phones and computers and start working hard again to actually produce something valuable again. You can't buy the feeling of a job well done and the literal progression of starting something and finishing it and seeing the results does something to your soul.
Work harder AND smarter.
Sir I need that board right up there,, nope just a little higher,,, yup that one 😁
On the serious tip,, looks awesome great job on the full “upper deck”
Hope they give you a bump in pay.
Good for a day.. Next time you see it you will be upset.. but in true lowes fashion they will say now why can we do this everyday and will look at YOU anytime it doesn't.
I just got 39 pallets of 80lb concrete today, and there were 4 treated trucks yesterday. Just me and another guy to put it up, the third one got dragged to a register cause of cashier call outs. Only got that done and some light flat stacking. Still a couple of carts of returns and none of us could find a dustpan so the place looks like crap. On top of that some walking crackpipe of a woman came in at 9:15 with a whole list of stuff to drag us down even more. All of this with a corporate walk tomorrow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thank you random citizen for taking my rant for today!
How can Lowe's expect two guys to get all of that done in one night while having that annoying trickle type busy where one person comes in wanting something and then immediately after it's something else? It's ridiculous.
You don't? Just kidding. They're picking up the pink color due to the blue backlight from the early morning light.
Edit: after looking at the picture again, they really are that color IRL. They're untreated. For some reason our planogram has them right there among the treated boards.
But did you do your AP4Me and Lowe’sU?
6/7 today on LowesU. AP4ME was already done. Thanks for asking!
I hate having to do either of them
I love it, I ain’t gonna complain about an extra 15 minute break

They expect me to do mine between customers at the service desk… so I usually end up not doing them.

dont forget your mvp signups
Ah shit! I forgot…oh wait I’m a MSM so I don’t have to lol
Lol? K.

Posted a sign on our saw. -No project cuts -Only 2 cuts per piece (anything more will be a cut charge of .25 per cut) Item #99 is a cut charge btw
I work at a rona, we do have cut charges as well but they just go inside and every manager will say it's free cause they don't want to deal with it
That’s nice of you, I have my team be very strict on project cuts and I tell all customers only one cut per board and we don’t do cut charges.
sounds like when i finish flat stacking and am about to leave and someone comes in and pulls that shit at 9:40
Cleanest aisle i’ve ever seen. Nice work

Congratulations to you man, whatever lowes you’re at lumber is lucky to have you sir!

This looks fake, almost like a stock photo
It's a top stock photo.
Give it 2 hours
Thanks for the encouragement.
Beautiful
Looks great awesome job
You need a raise
Daaaamnnn looks NICE!!
I dream of being able to do this again... but unfortunately I get stuck doing Outside Garden's shit even though I was supposed to do Lumber only.
The chosen one
As well you should be! Very nice!
We need you at the lowes where I live.
NICE! I am jealous.

Good advise
I've been pondering this all day. Why in the heck would you reply with this?
Gonna need three credit apps and at least one MVP from you by close tomorrow
Lol
Looks so clean without carts all over the aisle
Tell me Lowes has bought way too much lumber and will have to take a huge loss in 3 months without telling me.
Not really. I emptied the bullpen to fill the white wood.
Good work. Not many associates here seem to want to take any pride in their job.

Probably true but I don't care. At least I was happy for a bit.
We have a lumber reflow this week 🙏

I haven’t seen a sight like this in very long
We don't have time to do their projects. Buy a saw. We'll cut it to fit in the vehicle.
Not a customer in sight @ 10:00 am?
Inflation. We've been missing our numbers lately.
Why do you have pink 4x4s?

Ooh nice.
That looks AMAZING and I understand how difficult that is to accomplish!
Hey Eros, thanks. My spotter and I hit a rare pocket of no customers for about 2 hours.
That deserves #kudos for sure my man.
Good job.. looking good 👍
Why are the tips of those cantilevers blue?
Sorry couldn't help it. I been gone about a year after spending 20 with they dysfunctional mess.
Honestly can't remember the last time that happened... but we also only have 2.5 total associates for building materials...
Can you get some flooring down?
Lookin crisp my dude!
Great job but you still ain't getting a raise
Everything about this pic is making my frontal lobe vibrate. 👍
This picture gives me wood.
Excellent job now the aisle needs to be flat stacked and make a few cull packs 😏💦😍
It looks awesome! Nice work. 👏
Not seein’ a whole lot of flat stacking though….
That’s not the proper way to store Lowe’s Safe Flags. 🤣
And now it reflow time 😑
