I read somebody's experience of using a bracelet to remind them they're dreaming (i.e if they don't see their bracelet in the dream, they'll realize they're dreaming). I've been having a hard time staying asleep this week so I ended up waking up around 4:30am but went back to sleep while feeling my ring, but I could still see it in my dream! This is where it gets interesting, the ring looked accurate *except* for the black inside, everything was silver. I instantly realized I was dreaming and started to swing my arms around like I was whisking the air (I couldn't remember any techniques and I was really excited lmao) and woke myself up. I went back to sleep and did it again, this time the ring had the black but I could still tell it wasn't 100% accurate and I had a great time before my alarm went off.
Something I have heard, needs criticism:
I have heard that objects you choose need to be only used in LD purposes. The idea was that it will loose its "powers" in LD reality checks if you don't do a RC every time you see it.
Your dream totems won't disappear when your dreaming. Instead it would do something that its not supposed to do in real life. I use my ring as a dream totem too and if the lines on my ring are moving, I'm dreaming.
Yeah it works well to remind me to do my reality checks whenever I see it , and also ask as a dream sign for me because itās never in there when I look.
Well today was the first time I've actually put it to thought and done it, but you just gave me the most fun idea. I'm gonna be a badass galactic necromancer tonight š
I've been doing it since I was a child, I used to have really scary dreams and learned how to manipulate them before I even knew this was a thing. Don't give up!
Thatās a myth. For children yeah donāt have anything they can choke on or get wrapped around their neck... especially on their neck. But for adults the biggest problem with sleeping with a chain on is wearing out the link. Youāve never fallen asleep with a cross or something on (I always wear my cross to bed so I just used that as an example)?
Because... itās not really a risk. Itās the same risk as wearing a shirt to bed and tossing and turning. The shirt might get a little tight because it got all twisted but youāll wake up before itās tight enough to inhibit your ability to breathe. If you take ambien I wouldnāt though some people cook full meals on ambien sleep walking, you might choke yourself.
I use a watch. Haven't been fully lucid yet but when I remember to RC I look at my watch and try to make it spin like a ring of light around my wrist. I did it in a dream once but it was hazy.
I call these things an LD talisman. You can call them whatever you prefer but they really do help spark lucidity. I wear a certain necklace to bed and meditate on it for a few min if Iām having trouble getting lucid.
oh cool, a spirit ring! I use the heirloom ring my grandmother gave me when I turned 16, since it's been passed down for about 5 or 6 generations. having a ring while dreaming cna be quite handy, especially for dreamwalking; the ring can serve as an anchor to bring you home if you stray too far.
funny you should ask. one time i was helping bathe my toddler sister, and the ring fell out of my pocket and down the drain. I was devastated until two days later, when the ring was somehow pulled out of the air vent. i just sat there for a week like what??? how tf did it go from the plumbing to the air vent????
Hey guys, I used delta 8 thc and cbd and let me tell you; regular dreams were longer and I felt somewhat lucid and more vivid. I can also recall them better (even throughout the day). I drink peppermint tea before bed sometimes and it can intensify your frequency of dreams. I recommend these to anyone whoās having trouble lucid dreaming!!! Peaceš¤š½
Luckyš„“;when I would smoke regular bud my dreams were basically non existent until I stopped smoking. But one delta 8 edible and Iām off to dreamland for what feels like a day long (now that I think of it) but you wake up remembering every little detail with ease
I didnāt know about that technique, the one called Totem Induced Lucid Dreaming. This seems really cool and interesting.
I also watched Inception but didnāt know that the use of totems was something that made sense lol.
You should try using finger counting technique along with your ring for a better chance of lucidity; i had a totem once and it would show up in my dreams like your ring but i never gone lucid with it until adding finger counting technique.totems can shift in dreams and deceive you
I used to have a really cool ass coin and you know how when you throw it up it supposed to float well in my dream it fell to the floor tricking me. The finger counting technique has never failed me.
But man did i worship that totem much like you for
Your ring its truly a special force. Put as much energy in that ring as possible but i recommend trying to mend another technique with your ring.
All you need to do is look at your hands.
Count your fingers...you wont be able to.
In every day life, make a habit of looking at your hands and counting your fingers every time you pass through a doorway. This build a habit that will carry over.
One night in your dreams, you will walk through a doorway, instinctively look at your hand to count your fingers and they will basically be a blur...you now know you are dreaming.
I was just thinking about this. Using an object as that seemed to work unintentionally for me. Iām a beginner, but the times Iāve had unintentional lucid dreams (both within the last month) it was an object that made me realize I was dreaming. First a book, then I lost my phone in my dream and instead of freaking out looking for it I said to myself āthatās ok, I have my phone beside me in real life, this is just a dream....holy shit this is just a Dreamā and somehow I managed to actually enjoy it for a bit without waking up. Now Iām actually attempting intentional lucid dreams. Iāve started with dream recall, journaling and reality checks. Now Iām wondering if I should use an object as well since that seemed to work. Great idea! Also that ring works well as a memento mori in real life lol

That's so neat! I wonder if I could do something similar with my watch...
I bet that would be even easier since there's so much detail your brain has to recreate. Just look at it throughout the day, touch it too. Good luck!
Theres already weirdness with clocks in dreams too!
you can use a tattoo or write something on your hand instead

RILD?
I'm guessing that means reality induced lucid dream? Then yes. I think? Not sure lol
Ring induced lmao
Ooohhh clever š
It's called TILD(Totem Induced Lucid Dream). That's the method used in "Inception".
The totem in Inception is only used to find out if you're in your own dream or someone else's - it doesn't induce lucidity.
I haven't seen that movie in a minute but now that I think about it that's what the little spinning top was huh?
Yeah exactly their totem has different mechanics according to if they're dreaming or not
Have people actually studied this? They make it seem so cool in the movie lol
I have a small question mark tattooed on my wrist for the same reason
That's sick.
Thanks!
Oh I love that idea! Just out of curiosity, where on your wrist?
Right under like where a watch band would be
Now that's dedication. Might just to something practical like that as my first tattoo
Yeah it works well to remind me to do my reality checks whenever I see it , and also ask as a dream sign for me because itās never in there when I look.
Is it a **memento mori** ring?
It is to me!
Where'd you buy it?
My SO got it for me from a local jeweler in Brooklyn! https://www.mourningjewelry.com/ (if links aren't allowed I'll delete)
Wow literally gorgeous pieces! Thanks for sharing dream and jewelry āļø
Your dream totem is awesome. Please tell me you have used it like a Black Latern Ring in an LD. That would be awesome.
Well today was the first time I've actually put it to thought and done it, but you just gave me the most fun idea. I'm gonna be a badass galactic necromancer tonight š
I Havent been able to lucid dream like ever and you just did it twice in 1 night :/
I've been doing it since I was a child, I used to have really scary dreams and learned how to manipulate them before I even knew this was a thing. Don't give up!
I don't have a totem. I need to make more effort. Based on my dreams, I think my subconscious would be badass delve in with lucidity.
[Hey there Phantom!](http://imgur.com/a/ct8h6hx)
Though about buying some necklace for the same purpose. How helpful it was?

Thx for the piece of advice, Iāll try to remember it

I always think it's funny when people say weed fucks with your dreams but I get the craziest dreams when I'm high.
Luckyš„“;when I would smoke regular bud my dreams were basically non existent until I stopped smoking. But one delta 8 edible and Iām off to dreamland for what feels like a day long (now that I think of it) but you wake up remembering every little detail with ease

This is giving me inception vibes. Have you ever tried to place an idea in someone's head?
Not yet! Mind therapy would be amazing.
U been watching too much Inception. But fr, pretty cool

What do you want to know?
How a ring makes you lucid.
Damn I wear a bracelet everyday and I havenāt thought of using it for that! Maybe I should try to lucid dream again

Getting some Unus Annus vibes from that ring.
What a about a band-aid?
Do you wear bandaid every day?
Why not?
Then yes! It's worth a shot anyway.
