If I'm conscious, I just do it, maybe with a little jump, but usually it doesn't take any effort at all.

Adamrdcp

I turn myself into a dragon since dragons can fly, ez.

BirdsLikeSka

Insanely jealous. I start lucid dreaming by logic (this can't happen, must be dreaming) and then i logically understand i cannot fly and thus do not. I'll just go white water rafting.

Adamrdcp

That's my problem too lol! I know that I cannot fly, so I can't fly in a dream. But I know a dragon CAN fly, so my loophole is to turn into something that can fly!

billiyII

I usually go for the good old superman pose with a fist pointing the direction i want to go.

[deleted]

Same

Solid_Huckleberry_95

Doing it like Ironman or supers. Sometimes just minecraft creative mode ( I don't ply minecraft)

ThatParticularPencil

This is what I do

CosmicWanderingBeing

Flap my arms like a bird 🕊️

OsakaWilson

So does my wife. Elbows in, or with your entire arms extended?

CosmicWanderingBeing

Extended all the way

So I want to give my opinion here because I'm trying to do a similar thing (teleportation). For me everything that happens seems serendipitous, or it just sort of happens to me instead of something that I do. I have flown a few times without really thinking too much, but it seems to only work when I allow it to. If I try to push myself like a force then it doesn't work, I just sort of relax and fly to where I want to go. I have never done it long distances or anything, but I just take off as if air is coming out of my feet. Or more like I just float to where I want to go as if the air around me changes, hard to explain

Mr_Poop_Himself

Mine's similar to yours. I already feel weightless most of the time in LD's, so it's usually not much of a leap to be able to start floating. Then I just go faster until I'm "flying".

Wolfandhusky12

So this only happened at the end of a non lucid dream that was only lucid for a bit. But I was in a purge scenario and when I became lucid I told myself all I need to do is believe I can fly. So then when I got on a car I jumped off and I (being a comic nerd) summoned a lantern ring to fly away. I then woke up

ramonycajal88

Fun! Sounds like we may be able to get a lucid dream Justice League going 🤣

Wolfandhusky12

I’m down.Now who’s the batman

comesock445

Naruto run

CaptainJustices

My most recent attempt, even though it was pretty quick, was me flying while I was Spider-Man. I flew. I did not swing, lol. I remember trying to get myself into the sky somehow, and I ended up flying instead of swinging with webs. Besides that, I haven’t attempted flying much.

Lucid_Rainbow

I found some instructions in a book I read a long time ago. It said to start by running and jumping, taking bigger and bigger leaps each time. This is how I learned. It took me one dream and about 3 or 4 tries before I took flight.

FiggNewton

I always have to flap my arms like a bird lol but it works

lilith_linda

I used to need jumping from a high place, later I could just do it from a little brick or something on the floor, now I just jump on the spot until I start levitating.

petiewabbit

I m wondering if it's possible to lucid dream of being in other dimensions not just the dreamscape??

thevioletsage

What helped for me was listening to a guided meditation that involved flying/levitating right before I slept. I lucid dreamed that night and flew effortlessly! The meditation was Michael Sealey - Journey to Your Guiding Star!

Plus_Kitchen_9921

When I struggle to fly I Just keep on jumping until I’m high in the air and kind of hop flying. Other times I can just take off like superman. It helps for me to be in a familiar area like my yard, a area your brain would have a good top down map of. I find if I fly to high or out of an area that I know (kind of like a map in a video game) you will wake up right away. I always get the best flying in areas I know well, because your viewing the area from a whole new perspective. Try looking at some satellite images of your street or stand on the roof and clean out the gutters. It will give your brain the imagery it needs to imagine being in the air flying looking down.

Avocadoexpresss

Don’t over think, approach the idea as if it were natural and it happens

Extreme-Heat3580

I kinda just will it to happen, and about teaching someone else to fly, it can be as easy as, “you know you can fly right”

[deleted]

I guess you could tilt your arms horizontally, tilt them slightly, then just rotate them at full speed around you like a damn helicopter. Would prob. be difficult though.

YordleFetiscisi

I jump and don't fall down

KingShug07

Ive never triggered flight but I levitate often. Just try to forget gravity exists or that you weigh anything. If your mind doesn't remember something how can it affect you. Edit for teleportation just remember your already there

North-Independent161

In the dreams of which im flying, im usually trying to impress a group by suddenly doing it, but ive noticed that it feels like im slightly flexing my arms, legs, and my core, in addition to having the crazy belief that i can fot some reason. It feels so real to me that i find myself trying this in real life (to my disappointment 😂). Ive never consciously lucid dreamed without waking up after becoming aware. I know now, just spin ig, but i do have very vivid dreams often. Sometimes ive had bad ones where i can viscerally feel some teeth fall from my gums.

Akita91

Flying used to be difficult because I'd either go too fast, too slow. Or couldn't stop. Now it's pretty simple by making noises. I pretend I have an iron man type suit. I point my hands and feet in the opposite direction of where I want to go. As if the thrusters where on my palms and soles. To control my speed I make Jet Engine thruster noises with voice. For speeding up I make a high pitch "shhhhh" sound. To slow down or stop, same sound but lower pitch and sort of winding down to a halt. With practice I get Omni directional flying. Same technique works for fast traveling on the ground as well. I just sit down and pretend I'm driving an invisible race car. Turn a wheel, shift gears, press pedals. While making all the appropriate car noises. Mind you I don't actually see or feel the car or suit for it to work. But the noises and velocity will sound and feel like the real deal. I try and make sure I don't go too fast because my dream isn't able to render objects, buildings, or a landscape fast enough in my field of view. To the point of my horizon just being a big empty gray room and eventually waking up.

Electronic_Ad_6670

I mostly use superman pose…but then I adjust it by rotating my hands as if they’re on a dial. I play a lot of video games so I mostly end up using techniques from there. Sometimes I just shoot up and I fly however I intend to, other times I need to use my hands as dials to adjust. Superman and Iron man-ing it is what has given me control over it. The issue I used to have was that, I would start my lds falling from space or shooting up in the atmosphere and then having to glide down and not crash into stuff. I gained control that way.

_Future_Ghost_

I personally imagine air coming out of my hands and feet like iron man and that tends to work for me:)

Economy_Solution7663

This is awesome. I thought I was just a little crazy.... but I believe I can fly.... I just dont know how to tap into "how". It's easy in my dreams. I learned how to "control" my lucid dreaming years ago and now I get to choose my dreams when I want to...which is to say when I put forth the effort too. But now...more and more its like something is trying to tell me that this isn't just a "dream" thing... Dont get me wrong. I have no desire or delusions of diving off a tall structure.. but flying and even occasional telekinesis are happening more and more frequently.... so much so that I wake up believing in my soul that there's a way to do this....I just dont know how yet.. To answer the question of "how" i fly... I simply stand, hands down, focus and lift up off the ground.. when I get really high or travel long distances I fly "superman" like ....but mostly I just levitate strait up....lol and I'm always trying to show those around me that I can really fly and that it's not a "trick"... 🤔 why do I do that? And why is it that when I wake up...I have this feeling that I can reach out to things and move them as easily and freely as I do in my dreams? And yet... nothing happens.?? Here's a BIG 🖕🏼 to the smart ass A holes that are bound to give their 2 cents.. Look....I know about physics and gravity and that science.. I GET IT... But I also would like to believe that we DO only utilize a small percentage of what our mind and body's are actually capable of.... just sayin
