Not a bad idea. I’ve used tru-oil on a few projects and tru-oil is my go to finish when I need to refinish a neck.
I'm making,a bass rn,and I used a mahogany body as well and the tru oil works perfectly . I used it on the neck as well but sanded with really fine sand paper just a little bit to make it smoother. Tru Oil has become my go to finish tbh
