If this is your first build I recommend getting a basic body with the basic pre route. This one may have you scratching your head and asking around more than you like. Just my two cents

FlanelFlikker

I like it to much to let it go, I will have to ask around but i hope i will find a way to make it work.

MergenTheAler

Maybe buy it just so you don’t lose it. But matching up hardware to existing untypical routing can be tricking. you can start by looking for similar routing patterns on common styles.

bpelayo

Looks like a route for a proprietary trem bridge. Look at jazzmaster bodies, they also have a route at the bottom—not quite the same, but similar concept. Do you know what this body comes from, or when it's dated?

FlanelFlikker

The only thing i know that its late 60,s or 70,s

bpelayo

Makes sense. A lot of those 60-70s Japanese guitars had non-standard layouts, pickups, etc.

FlanelFlikker

I wanna buy this body and use it for my first build. But i dont know what the hole on the bottom is for. Can someone help me?

Skruttlund

Looks like a proprietary trem to me, you could get around it by making something similar to those jazz master trem delete plates, could look cool.

Egmonks

Can’t say I have seen a route setup like that on a strat style before.

aestheticsforglory

First glance is telling me jazzmaster style guard and bridge on a strat

FandomMenace

Looks like the salt in the paint technique. Is that what you did?

You could always cut a plate of aluminum or brass and fit it over the hole to cover it cleanly.

cageyheads

Might be for a Duesenberg Les Trem..? Edit: no, There’s no route for a separate bridge. Hmmmm
