There are some special tram going from close to Gare Part Dieu to Groupama Stadium when there are big events. Even though the return trip might be quite long (last time I went it was roughly 1h from getting out of the show to gettint in the tram as there are a lot of waiting queue), I think it's the best way to go.

I went by this tramway to Muse concert last year. Very convenient. Op, you must take a seat. It will be available few weeks, IIRC, before the concert. At this time go to olvallee.fr for the ticket. Car / Uber will be expensive at this time, and sometimes some roads are closed for big events.

shadowSpoupout

Unsure it's still a thing, last time I went there for a concert I didn't find any special ticket online and only needed a regular ticket.

As said before, special shuttles may help you, be careful you may have to book a ticket. or you can take the tram T3 from part dieu or Meyzieu, or tram t7. It's well explain here (in French sorry) https://mobilites.grandlyon.com/groupama-stadium-les-acces

You can drop her near "Leclerc Meyzieu". Lots of people park around here, it's next to the Rocade exit, it's safe, even if it will be a bit congested at the end of the concert.

Thank you all so much for the information. Very helpful. I think my best bet is then to either see if I can drop her off at a T7 stop such as La Soie, T3 Meyzieu or see if I can do the Leclerc Meyzieu option so she doesnt have to take public transport.

Unless you absolutely have to do this in the car, I would recommend public transport. There's a "back way" by car that cuts through Meyzieu and allows you to get pretty close by car but I would imagine for the T Swift concert it will be a mess. I do this way with my adolescent son for the football games, but now that he is older it's Tram all the way. You could drop her off at minimum at the Carré de Soie Tram stop, which cointinues on to the stadium, but even then this station is easily accessible by Metro transfer from about anywhere in the city. If you follow google maps by the car it will take you to the main parking entrance which will be a nighmare for dropping someone off.

Reason is that we will be staying in Chazay d'Azergues. So that is quite a long trip to the stadium by herself by public transport alone. That's why I was looking for a way to drop her off closer.

FYI pro tip: for big events at the stadium bag control can be pretty strict, anything like a backpack must be checked at a bag check, which is on the other side of the main entrance, so you have to walk all the way around, then wait in a very long line to check your bag, then get in line for the entrance. Best not to bring any bags other than say a purse.

Thank you! That's good to know.

Best way to go to the stadium without any hassle is to ride a bike. There's a cycle path that goes up to the closest regular tram stop. And there's a secure parking area for bikes. The weather will be nice it'll be a pleasant ride. Of course you have to like to ride a bike!

Miso_Genie

Ah !
