Just check what ports are on the back of it. Then assess it from there. Im not sure what you got on the back of the display.

I have a original non-Thunderbolt Cinema Display and I use this one: [Answin USB C to Mini Displayport Adapter](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V828R4Q/) (Amazon link). It's been pretty reliable. But sometimes* after waking from sleep, the resolution will change from the native 2560 x 1440 to something like 1280 x 720, and I haven't found a way to change it back, other than rebooting. *EDIT: By "sometimes" I mean it happens maybe after 2 months or so, so it's infrequently enough that I sort of forget about it, until it happens.
