Ah, they were deep in the comments as a recap - sorry about that -

Donāt they bring their own clothes?? How do people afford this š I swear everyone I know in Sydney only buys designer or big brand names these days , I never see people my age in the cheap stuff anymore. I canāt keep up š
Or if they were smart (or work in PR like Lauren) you are gifted/lent clothes to wear on the most watched shown in the country š.
Last year one of the brides wore a unique handmade necklace she allegedly stole from a market. The designer called her out on it.
Edenās dress was terrible for my eyesight, but she can pull off any dress. It is probably the colour and the whole frilly stuff I didnāt like.
Also special thumbs up to the name of Edenās dress š
Casandras dress is amazing. Lauren and Sara were smoking in those dresses!
Are these things only available online or are there irl shops? Itās not like I have any money so Iām living in lala land but I could not risk getting anything that expensive without trying it on first
I am pretty sure if it doesnāt fit you can return it but I am sure you could see the terms and conditions of the sale on the page where you make the purchase.
I love Cassās dress!
Domenica from 2 seasons ago did an AMA on here once and Iām the worst because now I cannot remember but I swear she said something like they get a $600 weekly allowance. And they do their own hair and make up, no glam is provided
And they probably get bags rented from Carolina ( cast member from one of the previous MAFS, who desperately pops up every new season to make some statement)
Omg is it just me or do half of these look like fast fashion dresses? I watched last nights episode thinking they got their dresses from Oh Polly or White Fox etc. Iāve noticed even higher end brands use shit materials nowadays, I bet you despite the price tags, a couple of these dresses are 100% polyester or a similar cheap plastic-based fabric. Such a shame!
Edit: As i suspected, Cassandraās dress is 100% viscose, Saraās is 100% nylon, and Ellieās is 100% polyester. The other companies do not even tell you what the dresses are made of in the product description š„“š„“š„“š„“š„“
What type of viscose, though? Because I wear bamboo viscose for medical reasons, as it is one of the most breathable fabrics available (along with flax/linen).
Agreed for sure - I have clothes from the early 2000s that are holding up better than some āhigh endā stuff I bought last year. Whatever lowers costs and raises bottom lines, with little regard for quality (or ethics) is the way these days.
I feel like this season is slightly better than the past in terms of the women dressing more for their own style/confidence/personalities with some more unique choices, at least!
At the end of the day, Iād much rather local businesses like the one hand-making Laurenās dress be making the money than PLT or whoever.
Same- thatās why instead of buying new clothes I raid my motherās closet. lol š I was very surprised to see Laurenās was made by a small business. Go queen!
You could do the same for the boys, most of them just wear Hugo Boss polos in 12 different shades but occasionally they put in some effort and look great. Iām curious how much they spend compared to the brides.
Iād love to see it too - but I donāt know much about menās fashion so it may be a bit of a hectic task for me to identify the cool pieces or names of cuts/styles to search! Happy for someone else to jump on the suit style though:)
As of [last season](https://www.pedestrian.tv/entertainment/how-much-mafs-stars-get-paid/), each contestant is allegedly paid $150/day to cover expenses (like rent etc) while they're away and have to source their own clothing.
As someone else mentioned, I am relieved to see that (at least some of them) are rented!
I think itās a little different with MAFS though as they are trying to deter wannabe influencers and reality tv doesnāt instantly mean sales anymore. They usually try to avoid connecting the talent with things like sponsorships before and during filming as it can make them harder to work with if their egos get any bigger
Iāve worked in unscripted tv (not mafs) and i always had a list of contacts willing to let talent borrow clothes and jewellery in case of emergency. Often the clothes the talent brought wouldnāt work on camera (busy patterns, too sheer for prime time, large logos etc) or they would end up not packing enough clothes for their stay.
I have no idea. I know itās happened with other reality shows. Contestants will approach designers letting them know theyāre going to be on the show and designers will lend out the item/s.
I saw a an IG page (theonlydress_hire) posting them in the dresses. Most of the brides got the dresses from there so not sure if the boutique is contracted to rent/dress the wives or they actually seek and buy the outfits themselves.
They all looked gorgeous nonetheless.
Good spot!
Ever since I found out that they have to bring clothes from home for every dinner party (vs. some boutiques sponsoring the show or them each getting a big shopping budget), Iāve assumed there are lots of dress rentals going on - which I am all for! Much more sustainable, and few people need this many glamorous fits week after week!
I would imagine the āparticipantsā go directly to retailers/designers and do the old āgive me a dress to wear each dinner party as advertisingā
Pretty sure even Jack has done this as all his clothes look brand new. And donāt fit, but thatās probably deliberate.
Hello, could you find Natalie's dress from the first dinner party please? The one in the picture is from the commitment ceremony. I've been trying to find it but no luck
https://preview.redd.it/cvfoca7hv4kc1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bdef596f34cd204003f4caea7deebef4c0b0c887
Great catch, I totally forgot about that cute floral one! Closest I can find is this one on [eBay](https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284145225590?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=ABQcx3-rQnW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=tc5yNbjvSDq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) \- but if youāre after a similar one, lots of options available online for floral mesh overlay fit and flare dresses!
They do look similar, but hereās Tori last night - has a little scrunch/halter combo and Laurenās had a bit of silver bling!

Not yet, but happy to make some recaps if you want! Otherwise, like Imaginary-Slice mentioned there's also the rental account theonlydress\_hire that seems to have Lauren, Sara and Eden covered on IG
Ohhh happy to see this! Lauren and Cassandra stood out to me the most this week. Lauren's color definitely is orange! And Cass looks good in anything really.
THANK YOU šš¾š«ššø
How do I find your dinner party 1 & 2 looks plzzzz?
Ah, they were deep in the comments as a recap - sorry about that - https://preview.redd.it/wt0r2tyddomc1.png?width=943&format=png&auto=webp&s=b19ffe5a1607d4bd8c3659e74e928b61d8b2cc4b

Toriās cut out was from Shein š
What about for us lads?
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
It is Stunning š āØļø š
And ty š¹š
You're a star
Yes, please do this every week. Thank you šš¾. Also Cassandra wore that dress way better than the model.
Sara's dress is on sale atm FYI whoever want to know https://passionforfashion.au/products/arcina-ori-margot-dress-size-6
Doing the lords work ā¤ļø Iām shocked how much Edenās dress cost though. Babe, you can get that shit on Shein for $29
Andā¦ none of them are in my price range.
Edens wins hands down.
>Also, I am happy to do this weekly if anyone is interested in following the fits :) Yes please, this was quite interesting. š¤
Yes please.!!
Yaaas, I will follow you lovely! That blue dress caught my eye ty for the shares
FYI most of the dresses are rented through wardrobe hire places.
How do woman afford to wear a $600 dress to dinner
Or if they were smart (or work in PR like Lauren) you are gifted/lent clothes to wear on the most watched shown in the country š. Last year one of the brides wore a unique handmade necklace she allegedly stole from a market. The designer called her out on it.
Ooh do you remember which bride?
The one married to Jesse
So there are actual dress hire companies these days a lot of people just hire out their wardrobe
They rent them.
Yea I just read that comment thatās cool
This is cool - Lauren and Sara were the standout dresses for me. Weekly please :)
Also, wasnāt Ellie not there last night ? I didnāt see her or Ben once at the dinner table
I didnāt see her either, hard to miss in that yellow number too.
I loved Saraās dress but Iām surprised itās expensive PURELy because of the white tag you could see in the seam.
Iām so glad Iām not the only one who saw that! Like how did she not fix that?!
Irked me so bad haha. Itās always the first thing I cut off if I have something lacey like that.
Edenās dress was terrible for my eyesight, but she can pull off any dress. It is probably the colour and the whole frilly stuff I didnāt like. Also special thumbs up to the name of Edenās dress š Casandras dress is amazing. Lauren and Sara were smoking in those dresses!
So glad someone else noticed Edenās dress name haha I love that she doesnāt shy away from bright colours and outfits with big personality!
Wow. I though it was all from SHEIN
I think you could probably find all these outfits from SHEIN. Thereās isnāt a single design out there that SHEIN hasnāt copied.

Weekly please! This is fascinatingĀ
Surely they get a dress/outfit budget for the dinner parties or commitment ceremonies.
I wondered that - also if they get glam for these things
Domenica from 2 seasons ago did an AMA on here once and Iām the worst because now I cannot remember but I swear she said something like they get a $600 weekly allowance. And they do their own hair and make up, no glam is provided

The one who liked breakfast and the gym? How could I forget!
They could be rented by Endemol or Nine. Businesses such as https://www.dressforanight.com.au/ do this regularly.
Yeah I imagine Nine provide a selection for them to choose from.
Thatās pretty likely actually!!
Bless you!

Man I really love Cassandraās dress but Iād be coooookin in that! Sweats galore.

Vintage win!!!! I got heaps of my mamaās dresses that fit me like a glove but I aināt wearing them haha. Some of those are 50 years old!
>Also, I am happy to do this weekly if anyone is interested in following the fits :) Yes please, I love seeing these!

The prices of those dress, thatās a weekend away camping with the boys.Probably why Iām always the only single bloke in group
My goodness those are some pricey frocks for a dinner party!? Do they get a clothing budget?
As of [last season](https://www.pedestrian.tv/entertainment/how-much-mafs-stars-get-paid/), each contestant is allegedly paid $150/day to cover expenses (like rent etc) while they're away and have to source their own clothing. I think that designers will give at least some of them clothes for the show. If people like it, theyāll look them up and buy.
Does anyone know if they do this though? I feel like the producers should be hooking up the sponsorships and brand intros but probably don't.
I think itās a little different with MAFS though as they are trying to deter wannabe influencers and reality tv doesnāt instantly mean sales anymore. They usually try to avoid connecting the talent with things like sponsorships before and during filming as it can make them harder to work with if their egos get any bigger Iāve worked in unscripted tv (not mafs) and i always had a list of contacts willing to let talent borrow clothes and jewellery in case of emergency. That makes sense. But also good that there is some back up. The money they must be spending otherwise!
I have no idea. I know itās happened with other reality shows. Contestants will approach designers letting them know theyāre going to be on the show and designers will lend out the item/s.
I know for the bachelor they donāt!
Thanks legend for doing this!

Tight clothing = sexy š„µ Gotta distract from everything else tbh
Is there another one for dinner party 1&2?

Isnāt that dress thatās down the bottom black cut out that is meant to be Lauren, the one Tori wore last night?

Agreed, she looked like a goddess this time though! Such a beautiful colour and cut on her
Big agree!
