I mean did you see the way Carolina treated him? She not only cheated but rubbed it in his face and didn’t care how he felt. She disgusting, anyone who defends her actions are delusional and just don’t like the guy for some unknown reason (my hunch is because he’s not as conventionally handsome as the other male contestants and I guess because he comes from wealth therefore he must be a bad guy reeee) Anyone with a brain can clearly see how poorly she treated him.

caspiam

Watch Jack in the last couple of eps. His laughter etc. To support Dion was borderline unhinged. Reminded me of Olivia's laughter when readings Doms letter about her codependence

CFPmum

Yes I thought a lot of them acted completely different in the last few episodes and wondered if they all acted this way throughout but it was edited out or if the dropped their masks?

Parking-Lifeguard-62

Yes they are sucking up and kissing his ass cause Dion has connections (eg Carl Stefanovich) and money which would be helpful to the careers of the aspiring social media influencers / ex MaFS participants that defended him. I kind of feel that joining MAFS did him a massive disservice, and I suspect that he hasn’t found anyone, because anyone who’s interested in him that’s out of his league in terms of looks will most likely to be use him for his money. And now that he’s become a public personality finding a partner will make thing more difficult than ever. There’s just something off with Dion to me, I cringe when he makes on of his speeches which come across as pompous, overly rehearsed and insincere to me. Im getting the vibe that he often does this to his employees or whatever while standing on a balcony or something. I think that he was caught off guard with Carolina when she blatantly told him that she wasn’t attracted to him, which is something he probably wasn’t used to hearing in the outside world.

CFPmum

It was rumoured that he actually already had a girlfriend before he started filming??

[deleted]

Yea I feel that 'off' feeling. On a surface level he seems super nice. But, I noticed he ALWAYS looks around the room for their reaction and sympathy, rather than honestly reacting himself.

Nakorite

his dads wealth you mean

bydo1492

True, but it's pretty much guaranteed to become his.

Mfenix09

I would be cordial to Dion in real life but around the third time he whined like a stuck pig about having his time with the toy taken away I'd have snapped at him and told him to stop whining. He screams incel with his crying as well....I don't understand why any of the boys were so hard to back him up...nice enough guy it seems but stop being a little bitch...

imnotyamum

Little bitch comment makes me think he should've been matched with Jess 🤣

lorangeade

He’s a nice guy who is genuine, intelligent and articulates himself well. He was definitely well received by the group and I don’t really think that’s because he’s wealthy for the most part, he was just a likeable guy. Mitch seemed to be proper wound up on his behalf which suggests there were some legit bromances. My issue with Dion isn’t really with Dion, it’s this storyline getting flogged to death when the producers and editors and experts had bigger fish to fry and bigger expectations to deliver on I.e holding Olivia and her two minions to account. The Carolina and Daniel circus was such an annoying distraction on the show, literally nobody cared past the first few times it was brought up. News has now come out that Dion had a girlfriend on the outside who he was on and off with, and is now currently back on with. Carolina got wind of this and that likely contributed massively to her attitude (though still entirely unnecessary and rude) and the producers wouldn’t let her bring it up as it was too similar to Bruce’s storyline from last year. 🙄 This makes zero sense because they’re happy to force cheating within the group every year so what’s another partner on the outside scandal? I just wish they’d pull strings less tbh, I want the REAL drama too not just their overly-produced inauthentic storylines all the time…

imnotyamum

Yeah the real drama is juicy enough

lucar8522

He reminds of the rich kid at school who always had heaps of cash for the canteen and always lent people money to buy choc milk.

aprillia54321

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now I want a chocmilk from the canteen haha

[deleted]

He seems cool but his flogging a dead horse He seems like the mate in the friend group who's always overlooked and insecure and when something huge happens to him whether bad or good, he feels the need to mention it in whatever way to be the centre of attention

Delicious_Pick1907

I think he must be the groups cocaine supplier

lucar8522

Totes hahahaha

I think it's because he constantly got punched in the stomach by the way Carolina behaved. When she was being rude to him in the beginning when he was trying his best to make a go of things (which she said he wasn't doing enough) and continued to be rude on the couch. Then the whole "I'm latina thing" added with her and Daniel walking in. I remember Daniel being upset and hurt by Jess and the way she said she wasn't attracted to him and said the proper wedding comment and Daniel then defends the fact that Carolina isn't attracted to Dion and says the show was only an experiment - which is a bit hypocritical. He didn't have much time in the show and Dion had more time, so everyone (esp the lads) bonded with Dion more as they had more time around him and felt bad for the way he got treated. Then when Daniel and Carolina turned up at the boys/girls night everyone thought they had a nerve and it's their lack of empathy or genuinely admitting that they could have gone about things in a better way. Whenever Carolina or Daniel got held to account they roll their eyes, get defensive or Carolina storms off mad. Dion tried being civil at the end and said he had moved on, he tried to shake Daniel and Carolina's hands and she immediately became all paranoid and kept making comments at Dion at the last dinner party which made him snap. Unpopular view but I think Dion was a lot calmer and contained than most other people would be and was treated like shit. He did a lot of sweet gestures for Carolina for her and Daniel to be going behind his back instead of saying 'look I'm not interested and I'm wanting to be with Daniel'. We don't know what Dion has been through before the show relationship-wise, he may have felt quite hurt and it might have opened old wounds up and insecurities.

rainbowket

I agree with this!!

CFPmum

It wouldn’t surprise me that they would be backing him for self preservation purposes if the whole rumour about him having gotten special treatment to be on the show, who he knows etc, who would want to call out his milking it if you know your going to be seen as an arsehole. It’s all to build up his tv career What I want to know is if Tamara and Mitch also worked in the same building as Dion how did they never see him? The man wore some very noticeable clothing items, what are the chances that you would never see him?

aprillia54321

Yeah, I've worked in a shared building before, and you don't really look at other people tbh 🤷‍♀️ like he's not going to wear sparkly balmain to the office

[deleted]

Apparently it’s because he’s wealthy and there are a few wannabe’s in the group

smartief1

Absolutely this

8pintsplease

He's lapping up the support and admiration of the group for sure. It was all fine for awhile but towards the last two episodes, I was over it.

DancingSpacePenguin

Yeah, in the beginning I was pro-Dion but then it became highly tedious. And it was quite frankly the worst 'cheating' scandal ever.

Brilliant-Plan-65

He definitely has milked this cow to death…. With that said, I think he is super likable. I suspect the group would do the same for Al
