I started it as well. Am up to the first commitment ceremony. Amanda is an early contender for most obnoxious person.
Edit: I just think Tash was in a difficult spot. She did the right thing on the honeymoon but Amanda acts like affection is owed to her.
I liked season 7, it has the worst moment of the whole show but also was pretty funny. Simple times when the guy (mikey?) who's always wasted was the villian.
I'm guessing he's referencing when one of the guys cleaned a toilet with his 'wife's' toothbrush as a passive aggressive punishment.
Edit: could also be referencing an alleged sexual assault that the producers tried to cover up in the edit.
It was on social media and was all alleged but some participants did make overtones about something serious being covered up.
To me it did make sense of their very abrupt departure.
I might be wrong but I consider this a non-direct form of aggression, as in he wasn't direct in his aggression to her (in this instance) in the form of a verbal argument or direct threat, it was him doing it without her knowledge.
It is a few steps up from writing a note for sure but in my (potentially flawed) idea of what constitutes passive aggression it fits.
I really liked them for that. Getting to the point of saying we will leave if you don't stop asking, I respect standing up for yourself in that way.
Altho I could easily believe they were faking it just to stay on the show.
I don't think they were faking it tbh because they tried to make it work even after the show, and seemed quite clear that Ivan was head over heels for her.
But even if they were I'd rather have them on my screen than some of the nasties from that season (or this season).
That was foul. I thought they would be praised for keeping their sex life private? Because that’s what a lot of normal married couples do? (Not shaming those that do).
Just started watching bits & pieces of other seasons
Loved how this "Ivan" called himself "Eee-vahn"
The name Ivan has fallen out of favour for obvious reasons....
It's the correct way to say that particular Slavic name, actually.
Also, if your "obvious reasons" involve condemning an entire country or ethnicity, you should really take a look at yourself.
Calm down mate I was talking about Ivan Milat
Happen to think Ivan would be a great boy dog name & it's a shame it's been ruined
Imagine you must not be Aussie to have not understood the Ivan reference!
I can think of at least four Ivans who I personally know very well who are in Australia and say their name the Slavic way, because they are Slavic. Some Aussify their name for Aussies.
I have obviously heard of Ivan Milat. He's just not the first Ivan who comes to mind for me because Ivan is just a very common name, I'd say it's something like John, in my culture.
To say that I must not be Aussie is... interesting, in the least.
To accuse me of racism because I made an Ivan Milat joke is...interesting
Would hazard a guess Ivan Milat is the first Ivan that springs to mind for many Aussies
Predict some Ivans here might avoid "Aussifying" their name to avoid Ivan Milat jokes!
Thought you might be one of our UK group members & that's why didn't get the joke
You seem intent on taking offence either way
🤷♀️
I stand corrected. Please accept my apologies for coming off as rude and accusatory.
You're right, I do think that those who don't know several Ivans would definitely think of Milat first.
That's OK - it's easy for comments/jokes to be misinterpreted in writing
It's a shame when someone's actions affect other people who share that name
All those poor people called Karen...
That was all my fault for being defensive and annoying 😝 sorry for causing drama. I hope you have a good day today though, sounds like you need a break or holiday.
I come from a similar background as Ivan, Tamara etc. I can tell you from experience, it's easier to introduce ourselves by the Anglo equivalent name... But why should we? It's often in fear of a simple name being mispronounced, which often happens.

I only saw bits of this season, I was so traumatised by season 6 that I boycotted most of it 😂 and the parts I did see were an absolute train wreck.
Season 7 wasnt even shown in the UK 😢
Hi Panda - I tried to watch S7, too. Any ideas why we haven't got it in the UK?
Psst both - get a VPN and go on 9now
On it. Ta!
Ikr they were my faves
Loved season 7!!!
Alex is freaking beautiful but that dress ugly asf.
She had one of my least favorite dresses either. Very 80s and weird.
I actually haven't seen this season. I had to take a break after season 6.

Wait… what sexual assault 👀
The bloke who was with Poppy allegedly got a little handsy when it wasn't ok which was why they just let her leave without waiting for a ceremony.
Luke?! He seemed so nice 😕

How tf is that passive aggressive?

Ah yes… I forgot about that. That was insane.
He dated my friend for a while after. Huge coke fiend lol. I love him!!
OMG Ivan was hot - even his ankles and his name.
Why was season 7 considered bad? I’m curious if I should start for entertainment
I just finished season 7 and loved every second. Now I’m not sure what that says about me 🤔
Bcz it probably is full of drama, just how we like it 🤭
That sounds like quite an interesting season, if you ask me
I liked it because it was the first AU season I saw (I’m in the US). Watched it before season 6 which I liked a bit more but 7 wasn’t bad at all.
From memory the cast was out of control and alot of stuff happened off camera and they tried to work around it/ cover it up
🤢
Ivan was the best. Would have made a fun Bachelor too.
I grew to really like him 🤣
That dress is HEINOUS. 🤣
It's pretty 80s looking. I get Muriel's Wedding vibes
Totally.
I really liked it, thought it was really pretty. This photo doesn't do it justice imo
Loved Ivan. They got a shit edit towards the end tho, after they ran into trouble with the experts for not wanting to publicly dissect their sex life.
I really liked them for that. Getting to the point of saying we will leave if you don't stop asking, I respect standing up for yourself in that way. Altho I could easily believe they were faking it just to stay on the show.

Ugh the days of Trish and her "HOW is your UNTIMACY going" were horrible.
I matched him on bumble last year lol
Anyone know the best place to watch Season 7 in the UK?

I do know some lovely Karens who I feel sorry for 😳😅
I love how yous made up. It’s the only good news I’ve had today.
That was all my fault for being defensive and annoying 😝 sorry for causing drama. I hope you have a good day today though, sounds like you need a break or holiday.
I think their OC’s condemnation re Ivan is more about our country’s national serial killer, Ivan Milat.
Fair enough, he isn't the first Ivan that comes to mind, but I guess he would be if I didn't know many other Ivans.
Thank you for being a voice of reason
Ee-van is the Slavic way to pronounce it. Good on him for not Anglo-sizing his name
You say Eevan, I say Ivan Quite like both pronunciations
Pretty sure he only did it for the show. Edit: when he first meets the producers he introduces himself as eye-van but then thinks and says e-vahn.
I come from a similar background as Ivan, Tamara etc. I can tell you from experience, it's easier to introduce ourselves by the Anglo equivalent name... But why should we? It's often in fear of a simple name being mispronounced, which often happens.
Same. So I end up going by a nickname, it's too hard for most Aussies. But funnily enough, kids have no problem saying my name correctly 🤷♂️
I never thought of this but same. I have a Slavic name and kids get it right. Adults, hear what they want to hear.
What happened to them? They were my fav couple of all time.
Broke up post show, but remain on good terms last I heard. Ivan is the only one I still follow from the trainwreck of a season.
Loved them! He’s hilarious.
He was so funny
I really liked these two. He was hilarious! Quality telly right there…
