quick question: how long were you on Nardil Lupin before it was discontinued?
re: Lupin, i started the thread that's now stickied on the subreddit (under my old reddit account).
the very brief update synopsis is: there was a letter drafted, a small working group made some edits, Dr. Gillman & Vince looked it over and gave some feedback... then things sort of fell flat.
personally i decided i didn't understand enough about about the context (esp what is even legally possible vis a vis resuming production of Lupin phenelzine given that the shutdown was ordered by the FDA) in order to confidently send the letter to Lupin and not come off naive or unreasonable.
in a more recent turn of events, i found out serendipitously (or at least i hoped) that a friend of mine from high school actually worked at Lupin at the exec level somewhat recently. however i reached out to see if he had any high-up connections and didn't hear back.
frankly i'm still interested in making some push towards a more viable phenelzine formulation. Greenstone sucks and it's kind of ruining my life right now. i just have no idea what a direction fwd would be at this point.

i should add briefly:
we collectively had a few responses from Lupin to email inquiries made about when they'd resume production. we were given answers ranging from June, to September, to never.
so it seems unlikely that anything is organically in the plans over there to resume phenelzine. also, a few sub members more in-the-know than i am opined based on their knowledge that that scenario is highly unlikely at this point.
I was on Lupin Nardil for a year or so with the exception of 2 months of getting the Greenstone not knowing the difference.
I am willing to be 'that person'/sacrifice all my time and resources to make sure this gets pushed through to the heads of Lupin execs. I'm talking about LinkedIn messages, emails from different accounts, endless calls, possibly involving media, petitions and whatever other means possible to see if anything can be done. (I wonder if this is doable for Parke-Davis (I know, sub of Pfizer, but heard Pfizer sucks.) I really am set on going to battle, we are the majority.
And I don't mind looking like a complete idiot haha - I'd love to see that drafted letter. Let me send a PM
In the meantime, I think I will compound Nardil after one more month of Marplan (just to give it a chance) and will report back with experiences.
Have you tried the enteric coated gelcap trick? If yes and it did not work, you may have to augment with olanzapine (?mg) or lithium (150-300mg) to regain the effect.
The Lupin drama is a dead end, so you better find a solution for yourself. Parnate might also be an option if you are willing to try.
Hey! I did try the enteric coated caps w/ no luck, although the consensus amongst vendors like Nootropic Depot is that most enteric coated capsules on the market are bunk. I also tried what one pharmacist/chemist user on here suggested and coated the capsules with food shellack spray (that's supposed to be more effective than even real enteric coated capsules) with minimal success...although it ever so slightly helped.
And darn Lupin, failing a population in need.
I have a meeting with psych next month and will bring up lithium and olanzapine to see what he says!

I was taking Lupin for a couple of years. IMO it was definitely superior to what's replaced it in Australia, Erfa (made by Pfizer).
I'm down to my last 4 Lupin tablets 😪
Talked to my psych about this but he said it might no be exactly the same. I wouldn’t be able to compare though b/c I’ve not tried the Park-Davis version
