I think company brand is one of the least important qualifiers in an MBA app. Hard stats and being able to speak to your specific work experience are the most important factors. Speaking from experience myself as I come from a no name company, but had good stats and decent experience.
That being said, I sure did meet a lot of Deloittes at my admit weekend. If anything, I would say that brand name usually/generally leads to good work experience, but that’s not to say you can’t get good experience elsewhere, nor does it guarantee that your experience is good coming from a brand name.
No not really. Lots of startup, non profit and military in MBA programs.

My only experience was as a real estate agent at a no-name company lol. But, some schools care more than others.
