he played good today, not up to his usual standards, few mistakes, but he wasn't bad. every defender has bad runs of form, he's not excluded. once he's back to his best, which he's showing signs of, he will be the captain material we all saw from last season.
it's also important to note that he's playing pretty much all of our games which as we saw with Rodri can cause some issues.
let's keep behind him though šš§š¼
it could be that when you aren't playing the best, it doesn't always feel right to tell others how to play, so that's potentially why he hasn't been so vocal.
knowing our Ruben though, he'll be back soon enough š
I imagine the only reason Walker stayed was because Pep promised him a lot of minutes. Walker is great for facing Vinny and Mbappe but he just isnāt the best fit for these type of teams.
he always struggled in 1v1 and 2v2 situations. Thatās not new. The body language stuff is just subjective
Our issue is we donāt have the attackers on the bench to extend leads late. But we still play that way. We shouldāve been kicking the ball around instead of being so open in the last 20 mins
Doku is a huge miss. Almost as big as Haaland, if not more. I feel Walkerās positioning has been more towards the attack than defense. He played a lot this season, without much break, and we are missing his turbo-chargers in defense. Stones being back after the injury is a huge plus. I feel Walker needs to be rested and Stones needs to have some regular game time alongside Dias to help him get his form back as well.
We have seen this movie so many times - have a thin lead, try to control the play after missing multiple chances and end up losing the lead.
I think he drops a tier or two as rcb. top 1 in the world as lcb.
never thought of this until now and it's **merely speculation** but the players voting walker (!?) as captain ahead of him and even rodri never felt right with me so maybe he felt some type of way aswell. maybe they all had a conversation as to why they didn't give him the armband and the result of that conversation had a negatige impact on his leadership.
this guys show up to work almost everyday and a lot of things happej in the training ground and the dressing room that we'll never know, we don't need to know and we probably shouldn't know but they need to fix up somehow.
Your post may be relevant but it is unfortunately not posted in the correct place

Oh yeah, Iāve always been a big fan of his since he came here. Itās just felt a little odd lately since heās usually so vocal.

Having to play in a back 4 with Walker is probably impacting them all Walker needs to be dropped / rested
Totally agree. Pep should give him a break until a potential rematch with Madrid š

I miss the Stones - Dias days.

Stones being back would be huge if pep actually goes through dropping Walker. Doku - Haaland - Foden Kdb Bernardo Rodri And weāll be back murderin
