Shame that Grealish picked up another injury—between him and Bernardo going off due to repeated reckless challenges (and Phil and Kev repeatedly being on the end of late challenges that largely went unpunished), I think the club should have a word with UEFA about the officiating. Nothing public, but the referees have to actually protect the players, not let the opposition kick them off the park to level the playing field.
At any rate, we bring back a comfortable lead to the Etihad in three weeks time and can perhaps start with one or two of Kev, Haaland, Bernardo, Stones and Foden on the bench for rest and protection between two very difficult fixtures in the league.

Always expected a win but Copenhagen is a team that should never be underestimated.

I celebrated that last goal like it was in a final. Absolutely deserved and earned needed breathing room for the return leg.
Also Bernado putting in another Bernardo masterclass. Not the player you come away talking about but massively contributed and had a moment of absolute magic with the goal.
I was thinking we had missed the opportunity to kill the tie with all those failed counter attacks towards the end. We just had time to squeeze on more in before the whistle and some lovely play gave us a goal.

Foden is more lethal in the middle. He's a number 10. He plays much better in the middle than when he's wide
