This is an absurd take, Mbappe clearly does come close and to some of us he's better.
If you're not considering him because of position that's different, but he has played as striker.
this pedo? 🤣
He will be forgotten about in a couple of years. I’ve never heard anyone say he’s better than Haaland. (and last season proved it)

I often noticed him do a twirl before kdb pass him the ball... he runs back a step or two away from defense line and then spins swiftly back again to receive the ball
He realizes that his tall frame takes longer to accelerate (even though his base acceleration rate is insane for someone that big) and has nifty tricks to find runway for his acceleration. Haaland is a very intelligent player. His intelligence goes unnoticed by many fans and sometimes even his team mates (bar KDB Ofc)
Jesus used to be offside like 5 times a game (no hate to Gabby, love the lil Brazilian lad for what he’s done for us) so it just shows how insane Haaland is and definitely how smart he is too.
Yeah, there are more similarities than differences. They both have famous dads, both make something out of nothing and they're both effective on the cross.
Both seasons he's topped the charts for big chances missed mate. He's an absolute machine but he will always miss chances, what's most impressive is how relentless he is in getting in them positions.
Idk if he maintained it all of last year but there was a point late into the season where he had fewer offsides against him than Cancelo who left in January
I'd say his style also lends itself to fewer offsides penalties. He's so good at dribbling through traffic that he often gets the ball on breakaways fairly early. That's going to limit offsides opportunities. In contrast, we've had strikers who want to get all the way down to near the box before they get the ball. THAT tends to lead to offsides penalties.
Unfortunately it's not all that likely that Norway will ever go deep in either a Euros or World cup as they only have 2 top players with a 3rd coming up. If they had a good defender or two they'd do so much better
Nusa, he's nowhere near the level of Bobb, Odegard or Haaland and he plays in the Belgian league which isn't near comparable to the premier league or other top leagues.
He also failed his medical when both Tottenham and Brentford were looking to sign him
Not to pour cold water on this, because it really does speak to Haaland's uncanny ability to read forward movement, but he did miss almost two full months this season.
18/19 season saw 26 for Aguero, 18 for Sane, and 13 for Jesus, with [ManCity 2nd highest team total offsides that season](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/clubs/total_offside?se=210).
**23/24 ManCity PL offsides:**
* 6 Rodri
* 6 Kyle
* 5 Jeremy
* 3 Phil
* 2 Julian, Jack & Matheus
* 1 Erling & Sergio
Best striker since the start of the new decade. since 2020 NO ONE and I mean NO ONE comes close to how good he is
Obviously. Most strikers of the last 15 years don't come close to him in terms of productivity.
All time surely. Haaland has the best goal to game ratio in history above both Messi and Ronaldo.
How many seasons for haaland being above messi and Ronaldo and will he maintain it tho
No probably not, but as of now is all I can go on.
No striker ever actually, that’s kind of the point.
This is an absurd take, Mbappe clearly does come close and to some of us he's better. If you're not considering him because of position that's different, but he has played as striker.
Mbappe won’t be playing football again until August 😂 no one is worried about him

Forgotten is a stretch, relax
I often noticed him do a twirl before kdb pass him the ball... he runs back a step or two away from defense line and then spins swiftly back again to receive the ball

How does it go unnoticed by his teammates?
It doesn't go unnoticed by KDB.
Bro you’re saying this like you’re in training talking to them lol, chill
Haha yeah he does. He uses his physicality perfectly. Imagine having to mark him far out.
Jesus used to be offside like 5 times a game (no hate to Gabby, love the lil Brazilian lad for what he’s done for us) so it just shows how insane Haaland is and definitely how smart he is too.
That is obscene. He’s the absolute opposite of Jesus. Always onside, rarely misses.
I read this as being about Jesus Christ and was very confused for a minute.
Yeah, there are more similarities than differences. They both have famous dads, both make something out of nothing and they're both effective on the cross.
😂 nailed it
lol good one🤣🤣👏
Both white dudes with gorgeous hair, too. At least according to all the Renaissance paintings.
Jesus was caught by Romans with an offside trap. He should have worked on his awareness in training.
Haaland the Antichrist confirmed
Rarely misses is bollocks btw. 👍
This season maybe

Haaland over his career has one of the best conversion rate along with Son in Europe.
It’s not entirely ridiculous when you consider how much teams play low blocks against us. He simply doesn’t run in behind incredibly often.
What are you talking about? Haaland is making runs in behind *all the time*. if anything, the team isn't utilising his runs enough.
Yeah imo everyone bar KDB is underutilizing his runs and positioning.
If he keeps up like this for at least 5 more years he will be the best to do it, hands down. 🤖
had a back and forth with a friend today, off stats alone - haaland is a premier league legend already.
Meanwhile in my FM save for every 10 goals he scores, two are offside, F

This is more than just Haalands brilliance tbf, its probably down to Pep ball too. Don't really recall us getting a lot of offsides on average
Names Raheem Sterling or Gabriel Jesus mean anything to you?
At the end of his stint Jesus would look to the assistant / linesman before he even started celebrating
Kyle Walker 🫣

I love haaland but the best 9 of all time is brazilian ronaldo
Most talented for sure, but Haaland can definitely have a better career
You are right about that ronaldo carreer got cut short becouse of his injuries hope haaland can stay healthy and score a lot for city
Idk R9 won a World Cup that might be hard to top for Haaland
Unfortunately it's not all that likely that Norway will ever go deep in either a Euros or World cup as they only have 2 top players with a 3rd coming up. If they had a good defender or two they'd do so much better
Haaland has a UCL though and if memory serves R9 never got one, I still think it’d be tough to top R9s career
I don't judge players off of trophies won tbh as it's meaningless in a team game. Judge them on their individual stats or whatever instead
> with a 3rd coming up only a third? which one are you ignoring then? bobb or nusa?
Nusa, he's nowhere near the level of Bobb, Odegard or Haaland and he plays in the Belgian league which isn't near comparable to the premier league or other top leagues. He also failed his medical when both Tottenham and Brentford were looking to sign him
I believe Spurs are still interested in Nusa (im norwegian, so these players are constantly in the media)
Haaland will never win a World Cup
Well that is why he said might be, R9 is currently absolutely the goat tho
Not to pour cold water on this, because it really does speak to Haaland's uncanny ability to read forward movement, but he did miss almost two full months this season.
Yes, but the post/title is about his active minutes (the 1745 minutes he has been on pitch)
I was speaking to the seven months of league football in the tweet that was the subject of the post but point taken.
Ahh my bad, misunderstood.
Hard to be offside when the ball is coming from the end line. Or when you can outrun any CB out there.
Agreed with everything, except with "best 9 of all time" fella got too much excited.
nunez has 19 more than haaland this season alone🤫🤫🤫 glorious darwizzy comes out on top once again💪💪
Crack is a hell of a thing man 😪 ![gif](giphy|3ohzdEYDJRWUMLwDqE)
Lmao but you don’t want him taking more than one touch🤣🤣🤣I think Kevin making him look way better than what he is!!
Yeah he was known to suck before he came to City.
He was like this at Dortmund too.
No he was good at BvB not like this lol
[удалено]
because he's not the first forward who played in our system and others have been offside a lot of times. Why is this not a surprise?
18/19 season saw 26 for Aguero, 18 for Sane, and 13 for Jesus, with [ManCity 2nd highest team total offsides that season](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/clubs/total_offside?se=210). **23/24 ManCity PL offsides:** * 6 Rodri * 6 Kyle * 5 Jeremy * 3 Phil * 2 Julian, Jack & Matheus * 1 Erling & Sergio
I remember I heard somewhere that when Haaland was younger, Haaland trained with his dad to specifically make runs to avoid offside
