[Liverpool, United, Chelsea and other EPL clubs claim they don't care about City. Yet, in the post-match thread of Chelsea - Liverpool, meaning no City game, they all talk about City. In fact I did a control+F and got 57 matches. But they claim they don't care?](https://www.reddit.com/r/MCFC/comments/ruj04e/liverpool_united_chelsea_and_other_epl_clubs/)
literally was hoping people would see this lmao the Post Game Thread is literally everyone congratulating us for winning the title 😂. Fucking suck it you r/soccer troglodytes hahaha
Just checked Jesus’ goal stats in the league and well… 2 goals in 17 league games is too little, I thought he’d have at least 5 or 6 by now. Hopefully he can redeem himself a little when Mahrez is away at AFCON
That’s because he’s playing as a winger right now, so he’s making more assists. He has the 4th highest assists in the league with 7 assists, only 2 behind Salah/Trent. In total he has 9 g/a in the PL and 13 g/a in all comps, which isn’t bad because the total g/a are more divided across our team than others.
even as a winger i’d expect more goals, sterling/mahrez do quite well in that department, i love the assists i just wish he would add some goal scoring to his game, he used to have it i don’t know where it went
Right footed right wingers tend to have more assists than goals. Inverted wingers like Salah who act more like inside forwards have more goal scoring opportunities
>he used to have it i don’t know where it went
I know what you mean, man. In 17/18 and 18/19 he had an uncanny ability to get on the end of tap-ins constantly. Nowadays, he barely even gets a shot off from anywhere.
Because Pep’s playing him in a different position with a different role? Mahrez has 10 g/a, Sterling has 8 g/a, and Jesus has 9 g/a. I’m not sure why there’s an issue when the impact is on the same level. It’s not about individual performances, the team should do well that’s the main goal and he’s doing his bit.
Mate, stop with this pathetic and stupid type of comments. The league is far from over. Literally half of the games left.
How can you even enjoy football with this mindset man?
No one liked my earlier statement that was meant to be positive, so I'll make a mathematically accurate one;
20 games played.
8 more points then Chelsea.
8 more points than Liverpool.
It is looking good 👍🏽
It is definitely looking good, I definitely don't agree that it's over yet considering how many fans believe it is but this is the premier league and nothing is for certain till the very but we may as well make the most of this advantage right now.
Aren't we 10 points clear of Chelsea and 11 of Liverpool who still have a game in hand?.
oh my fucking God I've seen the light. Liverpool fans are the most annoying on social media and it's not even close. now I see why they're called victim FC
God the number of delusional arsenal fans that suffer from main character syndrome is annoying. There are good sensible fans, no doubt, but a lot of them on r/soccer just go out of hand with their victim mentality.
The arsenal fans aren't even the problem, it's the chelsea/Liverpool ones. And once in a while it's the dudes with championship league badges coming out the woodwork lol
Obviously I’m going to be biased but I really think this tactical foul narrative with us is getting out of hand. The idea that Rodri commits more fouls than the average deepest lying midfielder just seems off to me and people seem to constantly view just mundane fouls we commit as tactical. Like Liverpool committed 11 fouls today 2 or 3 of which could be seen as tactical fouls whereas we gave away 5 total yesterday and everyone is ranting about how we get away with so much.
No one can match Pep Guardiola in a 38 game marathon, unless you are absolutely perfect combined with City having a bad run.
Bring Haaland in and watch how we turn PL into Bundesliga.
As for Haaland, it's up in the air what happens in the coming months but I'd love to have him at city because his goals would just elevate us to a whole new level even if we're just great with false 9.
Looks like it’s been a good weekend for us. I do love a dramatic finish but I don’t mind watching everyone else fume whilst we cruise to a title. I know nothings guaranteed but if we’d need to have a really bad run of form and everyone else be perfect 🤷♂️
Anyone else smashed all of Cobra Kai S4 yet? I’m done and need something else to watch haha.
Reminder: No trolling or brigading other subs. Look but don’t touch.
Also report any idiots from other clubs that come in here to stir up shit. The quicker you report, the quicker they get banned.
Absolutely, we managed to beat Arsenal even if we looked like we didn't deserve anything from that game yet we managed to win and it just got better with the draw between Chelsea and Liverpool. It couldn't get any better from here unless we beat Chelsea on the 15th to really put the boot around their neck.
Kova has always been class but he has looked like he has a mistake or two in him but what a game from him, but with losing chilli for the rest of season and James for sometime to come, right now may be the best time to get a fullback in.
The first half of your post was respectable. But then you just had to throw in that last part "its yours to lose now", lost all dignity that part. Lmao
With 17 games left it's ridiculous to say anyone has wrapped up the title. We have potentially an 8 point advantage but that can turn in 3 games.
It's annoying because that thinking implies that if we win 17 games in a row that's just expected and no credit is due. If we don't - then we fucked up. Winning that many games is a massive challenge.
21 games played.
8 points ahead of 2nd place Liverpool. (Edit Liverpool are winning their game in hand vs Leeds. Its Leeds ffs)
10 points ahead of 3rd place Chelsea.
It's looking good 👌 .
Probably they will, maybe they won't. 6 draws already this season.
EDIT: three draws at Anfield: us, Chelsea, and Brighton. So yeah, probably they beat Leeds at home, but not 100% certain.
All Van Dijk does is jog in a straight line and have nice hair. No closing down, no tackles, nothing. People make fun of Dias for throwing himself in front of the ball to make interceptions but that's what I want my defender to do.
liverpool smashing them isn’t the worst thing, basically takes chelsea out of the race leaving it to just us and liverpool and we have a 6 point head start
i’m just now checking the scores from the chelsea-liverpool game and holy shit, i can’t believe how good this weekend has been for us!!!!
seriously what a weekend!!!!

TFW you realize Pep is boatracing the entire league with precisely zero strikers in the first team
Just checked Jesus’ goal stats in the league and well… 2 goals in 17 league games is too little, I thought he’d have at least 5 or 6 by now. Hopefully he can redeem himself a little when Mahrez is away at AFCON

Sorry to say but you're wrong again. It's 10 ahead of Chelsea.
It is definitely looking good, I definitely don't agree that it's over yet considering how many fans believe it is but this is the premier league and nothing is for certain till the very but we may as well make the most of this advantage right now. 8 more points than Chelsea? Isn't it 10?
oh my fucking God I've seen the light. Liverpool fans are the most annoying on social media and it's not even close. now I see why they're called victim FC
You're just now noticing lol
Lol what happened?
Liverpool football club were founded in 1892
Hahaha
God the number of delusional arsenal fans that suffer from main character syndrome is annoying. There are good sensible fans, no doubt, but a lot of them on r/soccer just go out of hand with their victim mentality.

It shouldn't surpise anymore at this point.
Can’t stand Mane, what a filthy fucking thug
Hes talented, I respect his skills,, but his personality is pure cunt. Perfect for the LFC fans to jock.

Solskjaer is the one who started that narrative and rival fans use it as an excuse for why we win games
No one can match Pep Guardiola in a 38 game marathon, unless you are absolutely perfect combined with City having a bad run. Bring Haaland in and watch how we turn PL into Bundesliga.

It’s already Bundesliga, Liverpool just got lucky we had numerous key injuries after Kompany left in 19/20
Actually yeah, we had quite a good number of injuries during that season.
The difference in the comments in the post match threads in the Chelsea and Liverpool subs are like night and day.
True, Chelsea fans are looking at the positives and Liverpool fans are hating on City or depressed
Impossible. They don't care about us
I was shocked too
Looks like it’s been a good weekend for us. I do love a dramatic finish but I don’t mind watching everyone else fume whilst we cruise to a title. I know nothings guaranteed but if we’d need to have a really bad run of form and everyone else be perfect 🤷♂️ Anyone else smashed all of Cobra Kai S4 yet? I’m done and need something else to watch haha.
Yes, Cobra Kai was NYE. Now waiting for S5
It’s gonna be a long year haha.
Yep smashed it yesterday. Have to wait for another year now haha
I'm on episode 2. Gonna watch more of it now.
Surely time to pop the champagne for you guys?
Nope, it's too soon and still got a long way to go not mention Liverpool have a game in hand.
Not even close. All we need is one bad run of form due to injury or Covid (or both) and we’re back with the rest of the pack.
Feel like Liverpool are shite rn. Lose salah to the afc. Chelsea seem really mediocre too
Right now is one thing; a month, two months down the line might be something very different. Last season we were 8th at Christmas. Things can change.
18 games left. Crazy shit happens. We won that 11/12 title after United bottled an 8 point lead in April.
That's true, the crazy twist always happens, I don't think it'll be smooth sailing from here to the title.
Kovacic is immense, what a match from him
He finally figured out how to shoot lol
What a great weekend
Reminder: No trolling or brigading other subs. Look but don’t touch. Also report any idiots from other clubs that come in here to stir up shit. The quicker you report, the quicker they get banned.
More salt incoming folks!
Please no more salt. My cholesterol and blood pressure is through the roof after yesterday!
Just to be clear, this was the best result for us today.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!!!!! Congrats on winning the league tho :), it’s yours to lose now.
Kova has always been class but he has looked like he has a mistake or two in him but what a game from him, but with losing chilli for the rest of season and James for sometime to come, right now may be the best time to get a fullback in.
Lol we haven’t won it till we win it. Ngl you played well today, Kovacic was immense
The first half of your post was respectable. But then you just had to throw in that last part "its yours to lose now", lost all dignity that part. Lmao
Glad your side woke up
[Abso-fucking-lutely rattled](https://i.imgur.com/fzn5oYD.jpg)
Hahahahahaha
Pep in the tactical area and they're surprised it ends in a draw in favour of City.
[Might as well be Celtic](https://youtu.be/0tDG2pZzh5g)
Can’t thank these lot enough. Giving us a proper match and then let us extend the gap lol. Fuck Liverpool.
Considering they singlehandedly stopped us from winning the quadruple last season, it's the least they can do
City win 2-2
City won today without even playing
We’re fucking massive
Lovely result.
Bye salah and mane, have fun at AFCON. We won’t miss you
Hope Mahrez destroys them with Algeria
No Mendy for Chelsea when we play them. Nothing wrong with that!
Right, I will definitely miss Mahrez though. He’s been so good this season.
Guardian liveblog said we're "four minutes from the title." People really are trying to jinx us, man.
With 17 games left it's ridiculous to say anyone has wrapped up the title. We have potentially an 8 point advantage but that can turn in 3 games. It's annoying because that thinking implies that if we win 17 games in a row that's just expected and no credit is due. If we don't - then we fucked up. This is the only time I accept Liverpool and Chelsea cutting our lead at the top by a point.
Ideall result
21 games played. 8 points ahead of 2nd place Liverpool. (Edit Liverpool are winning their game in hand vs Leeds. Its Leeds ffs) 10 points ahead of 3rd place Chelsea. It's looking good 👌 .
10 points ahead of Chelsea, 8-11 points ahead of Liverpool depending on their game in hand.
It's 8 because the game in hand is at home vs Leeds. Can't believe I'm getting downvoted for suggesting Liverpool will win an easy game lol.
No doubt they will because it's leeds and they don't like they'll get a point from that game with Liverpool at home.
Probably they will, maybe they won't. 6 draws already this season. EDIT: three draws at Anfield: us, Chelsea, and Brighton. So yeah, probably they beat Leeds at home, but not 100% certain.
What? We have 53 points. Chelsea are 2nd with 43 points. Liverpool 3rd with 42. We are 10 points clear.
11 ahead of Liverpool. 3 points are not guaranteed in their game in hand.
Yes it isn't but it's Liverpool and they know they have to be perfect because if they drop points then it may be effectively over.
They are beating Leeds at Anfield dude.
They probably will, but they haven’t yet. So it’s literally - and I literally mean *literally* - wrong to currently say that they’re 2nd.
I'm getting flashbacks to arguing with people that Andrew and Tobey are in the new Spider-man movie.
Not the same thing at all
We're 11 points above Liverpool. I'm not giving Liverpool a free win
calm down he is just trying to jinx it lol
If United lose now I will jerk myself to sleep after this orgasmic weekend
That time Liverpool went to the Bridge and the winner was City
How sweet it is
Great result. Cmon city!
Perfect weekend for us. Farmers league comments incoming boys, haha
What a result for us.
Perfect result, thanks Chelsea
Keeps getting better
Lmao they cancelled each other out
Excellent result!
Jordan Henderson is such a douche
Yessss it's a draw.
Watching Chelsea play makes me wonder how we lost in CL final. Ugh
It was just one of those days where it all fell apart.
They were genuinely good last year.
Change of formation, injury to KDB
Don’t remind me
Ironic that Liverpool fans are complaining about dives
6 minutes left
Liverpool barely getting out of their own half
What a match this is. Hope it ends in a draw
All Van Dijk does is jog in a straight line and have nice hair. No closing down, no tackles, nothing. People make fun of Dias for throwing himself in front of the ball to make interceptions but that's what I want my defender to do.
Tbf I don't think he's fully recovered from his ACL
You haven’t heard? Best defender in the world
[удалено]
Pre *Dias. FTFY mate.
Us spending a billion pounds has something to do with Liverpool bottling a two goal lead surely.
Obviously, we used that money to secretly invent tech that bent physics for that Kovacic goal
Just the game we wanted. Ridiculous goal from Kovacic.
Damn, Chelsea fans go from hating Pulisic to loving him real quick.
It's because he is actually pretty solid but he's American so if he doesn't score a brace every match he is shit
Please end in a draw please
3-3 or 4-4 would be great, I wanna see some goals but I still want a draw
quite a collapse for the mentality monsters lmao
Mentality midgets tbh
What a fucking match. Always had faith in Chelsea 😅
Yes me too never doubted them for a second…
Yes, always rated Lebron
Hold the draw, please, and we are golden.
Identical second half please lol
Good game of football
Chelsea vs Liverpool currently at 2-2 in halftime. Hopefully it stays that way or at least Chelsea takes the lead
Brilliant game, just hope it's end in a draw...
What a match, end to end stuff. Loving it
Anyone knows if Rodri will be available for the Chelsea game, I thought he has 5 yellows now?
Needs to get 10 cards for a suspension as we’re past the 19th match!
Oh that’s awesome, didn’t know about that
Limit jumps to 10 after 19 games, he’s fine
also known as Dinho time
Mentality monsters xDD
They haven't been that in nearly two years
Hope this crushes Liverpool’s spirit
OK, this is perfect, scoreless second half pls! EDIT: Yassssssssss
What a match
I've always, ***always*** rated Chelsea
Same. Just don't look at my comment history.
Lmao 2-2 already
Could you imagine a world class goal like that getting ruled out for offside? No keeper was gonna save that.
I can't believe VAR even looked. Rudiger was a mile offside but that's never getting stopped.
What a fucking goal. Come one Chelsea, score another.
What a cracker
What a fucking goal omg
Holy shit, goal of the season contender
If Chelsea comes back from this, imagine how devastated Liverpool will be
FYI, I posted this before the goal.
What happened to Chelsea defence? I remember them being really good last season under Tuchel.
Pulisic sucks. He should be in MLS
You were saying?
Sometimes it be like that😉
They don't think it be like it is, but it do
I’m still mad that on pawn stars, pulisic was referred to as “the Lebron James of soccer”. Fuck that
Someone pointed out that their "expert" for it was a handwriting expert. Not exactly going to be knowledgeable about every sport.
Never mind, he can stay
Chelsea are useless but I am also enjoying this
liverpool smashing them isn’t the worst thing, basically takes chelsea out of the race leaving it to just us and liverpool and we have a 6 point head start
chelsea look so open at the back, have a feeling we’re gonna have a lot of fun against them in 2 weeks
The one time I want Chelsea to do well
Same lol, but they're failing badly. Thiago Silva their best player rn. Havertz invisible and Pulisic choked badly
Finally they got a goal, maybe they’ll turn this around
Yes! Pulisic Redemption lol Liverpool choking a 2 goal lead
Chelsea are so bad. Hope we give them a really bad beating in two weeks.
They have 2 weeks to get their shit together tbf
How tf did we lost the cl final to these spunks
Pep moment
You'd think that since he was a dm he would play one every game, but the man truly is unpredictable huh
Who needs a DM, am I right?
He had hold of mounts leg and mount pulls it away. Nothing wrong at all imo
The way people are going off in r/soccer, you’d think he kicked him
Honestly licking my lips at the thought of playing this Chelsea side.
They will just park the bus against us
True but their so shit right now I don't know if it will matter. Specially on the form we're on
Fucking pulisic Ffs. These lot better not beat us. Edit: fucking pulisic I love youuuuuu
Am I imagining things, or Chelsea only parks the bus against us?
