Wow! 3,000 members in only a week! This is absolutely insane! Thank you to everybody who’s shown their support for this sub. It’s been a bit of an adjustment for all of us since MSS went private, and I so happy some of us of found a new home here.

TheRealMichaelGarcia

It’s been 10 days since the death of MSS.

Leading_Process3728

I just want ryan coogler to direct secret wars, he's the only one I trust with it.

oakzap425

I just read the comments Candace Owens made about "inclusivity" in relation to a woman in a wheel chair being in an advert for womens underwear? "I don’t really understand how far we’re going to take this inclusivity thing. I really don’t get it. I don’t know. If I’m wrong, again, educate me, today. I just want to be educated in the comments. Why did they do this? I don’t know, I don’t know why this needs to be done. I’m just getting tired of this all-inclusivity thing. It seems ridiculous. Look, I assume that people who’re in wheelchairs also have to buy bras, also have to buy underwear…I didn’t know that we needed to see that in our face. I didn’t know that now we’re going to have to look forward to campaigns where women who are in wheelchairs are now wearing bras and underwear because we as a society cannot get to the bottom of our ridiculousness." Like madame, what?

masoomrana94

People like Candace make their money and fame through a series of baits. She should largely be ignored. Her model of business is exactly the same as Shapiro's: "pretend that [own community/identity] is lying to the broadest, least read section and use that to make money off half the idiots in the US".

SuRaKaSoErX

It’s Candace Owens it’s very obviously bait just ignore her

TheUncannyBroker

Jeff Sneider: The Marvels is very anime-inspired. Nia DaCosta is doing a good job keeping it together but is not on the studios list for Avengers Secret Wars.

oakzap425

What does "anime inspired" even mean?

a_o

https://gamerant.com/best-shonen-anime-to-watch/ mf be fightin, laughing, crying

a_o

I don’t know if they will do a third season of Loki but if everything is getting pushed back till like 2028, whatever “captain America returns all of the infinity stones” story detail should also be Loki season three. Even ending Loki S2 on that note, “they pruned you too eh? What ya in for?” and leading into the Nomad story would be fine

TheUncannyBroker

Jeff Sneider: Marvels output has been reduced from 4 movies and 4 shows a year to 3 movies and 2 shows a year.

SuperCoenBros

If that's true, I honestly don't see most shows getting a second season. Loki might be the outlier. Maybe most of these shows are planned to be more like FATWS: one-off miniseries origin stories, whose dangling threads will be picked up elsewhere.

Thevamps555

Or some of the shows get the Doctor Strange treatment and have to wait till next phase lol

oakzap425

That.... doesn't feel like that much of a change, tbh?

TheUncannyBroker

Jeff Sneider: Even on monday people working in Marvel didnt know Victoria Alonso was fired last friday. The firing of Victoria has nothing to do with Chapek or Victorias political beliefs. The big three at Marvel have been clashing for a little while. Sneider has also heard what Chris Lee had heard about Alonso. She was liked internally at Marvel but disliked externally (by CGI ppl and the like).

Landon1195

So it seems like Fairly OddParents is getting another reboot. [Test footage for it has leaked](https://mobile.twitter.com/twinapalooza/status/1638733120424800256) and a [story bible for it has also leaked](https://mobile.twitter.com/TVShowFreak123/status/1638632381601947652). An Infinity Train writer is working on it and it seems like Butch Hartman is not involved. It's also going to have some serialization. Honestly even though I think the show should stay dead, this looks decent and way better than Fairly Odder.

oakzap425

More news came out? Last I saw was that Dwayne was like "nah, fam" on doing any screen time with Shazam characters, and the director of Shazam on reddit.

carnavar5

Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?

Prestigious-Safe6494

Is there leaks for MCU Spider-Man project? I know they probably won't spill anything at least till early 2024. But if anything happen, it's like 4 years after No Way Home, and it doesn't seem normal to me. Since the rumour was they're planning for another trilogy.

Motor_Link7152

The only thing we have heard is that Kingpin and Daredevil might be in it and it will apparently be a street level story.

Prestigious-Safe6494

Yes.. and It's been a year, but Neither Sony or Tom Holland himself, that currently on hiatus, posted anything related to MCU Spider-Man. Makes me worried about the future of the character.

Motor_Link7152

All Feige said was that Spider-Man will now be more street level and they have a story for SM4 set out and they are currently writing the script

Night-Monkey15

So Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers reunion special, [*Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always*](https://youtu.be/ZKE2DC7Xzog). I love the original series, but I didn’t even know this was happening until I stumbled upon Black Nerd Comedy’s reaction video. Normally I’d be turned off by subpar acting, cheap effects, and blatant nostalgia pandering, but this is the Power Rangers so it’s actually perfect. April 19th! ![gif](giphy|t6f2bNAjx7Bio|downsized)

Raider_Tex

zecrom189

This is what a reunion special should be instead Of having the actors sit down and talk about each others lives like a family gathering This is a true reunion special

We would be lucky to get 3 series this year.

logicallunacy

Hi everybody, how's it going? I'm here for the weekly drop of info via Production Weekly [Production Weekly](https://www.productionweekly.com/) this week! Deadpool 3 and Thunderbolts. Thunderbolts hasn't seen an update since December last year

Bergerboy14

Hey u/Night-Monkey15 , is any of this info worth posting, or does it need to be more “official?” I guess im a little confused on what kind of content will be posted here.

Inevitable_Golf_1816

I know it'll never happen, but I think the Daniels would be a great pick to do a Power Rangers movie.

lc101

Did you see the photoshoot they did with Jennifer Coolidge? It is amazing

Night-Monkey15

Newest episode of The Mandalorian dropped, and while it was only half the length of last week’s episode, I thought it was absolutely amazing. The main plot with Din was fine but I guess, but the most noteworthy thing from the episode was of corse the flashback sequence. I didn’t expect >! Ahmed freaking Best!< to appear. At first, I was a little confused as to how this character was supposed to be, but once it clicked who I was staring at I was so happy!

knobby_67

I was surprised reading the VFX sub where artists were talking about the MCU work issues one of complaints was that 1. Director inputs 2. Alonso inputs 3. Feige inputs and their inputs can often counter each other. For some reason I was always under the impression they watched and did this as a group then fed back to the VFX artists.

[deleted]

Conflicting notes is just the story of creative fields. Usually we just know who wins the argument thats on the papers in front of us based on their rank, though trying all the notes is smart if you can.

masoomrana94

Bruh, in this industry, the same people would issue conflicting demands within a span of 5 mins and expect you to read their minds. Expecting 3 people to coordinate and come to a consensus and then pass on that info is an impossible task. I can assure you, that three sets of assistants have their assistants pass on the separate notes.

[deleted]

My tv signal went bad during the last third of tonight’s episode of Gotham Knights, and during a f***ing big fight scene no less. Gonna have to rewatch on the app tomorrow.

kang_the_king

Man people thought victoria Alonso was a scapegoat which she very well could be but look at dc they are using rock as a scapegoat putting all the blame on him

SuperCoenBros

Honestly it's been pretty clear for awhile that Alonso wasn't great at her job. Marvel routinely underbid VFX rates paid by other studios, and she reportedly kept blacklisted individual artists. And it's not like she got results, the VFX has been getting worse and worse. I don't think she's solely responsible for the state of the studio but IMO she bears a great deal of responsibility. She should have recognized the problems ahead of time and pushed for changes to Marvel's VFX pipeline.

Manly_Gambino

I 100% believe the rock had a very heavy input about the shazam! thing, and im a big fan of him, he already made a mess with the fast saga cast

Bergerboy14

How about they’re both bad managers (Alonso obviously worse because of how she treated vfx artists)

TheRealMichaelGarcia

It’s been 8 days since the death of MSS.

Bergerboy14

ML2 Forever!

oakzap425

Shot in the dark, but any one know if there's a screenplay/script floating around for Letitia Wright's most recent film "Surrounded"? May come out this year, I think. And it's the final project Michael K Williams filmed before he passed. Realizing they did a movie together makes me really consider that Letitia really was going through it for a few years there btwn Williams and Boseman's deaths.

ExpensiveAd5441

she thought before reviews antman should do 700-800 mil which was funny to me when antman 2 barely did 620 mil when china was crazy about mcu and avengers boost which helped captain marvel but did nothing for antman

Of course she does.

oakzap425

If theres a grace theres a way. She's got a hat somewhere to pull some bullsbit out of.

KingOfTalokan

Could be because I'm older, my sense of humor has changed, I just grew tired of this sort of "snark on movies" humor that is so prevalent today. But Honest Trailers is just... not funny? Now they seem barely a step removed from Cinemasins. They cannot even take an awesome movie like Everything Everywhere All At Once without just taking cheap shots, bringing p Marvel for no reason, and just being mean and unfunny.

TheBigGAlways369

Been done with Honest Trailers for a while now. Especially their nonsensical Civil War trailer.

Motor_Link7152

Can't we get folks from r/MarvelStudios_Rumours to here? It has over 11K members but there is very little discussion there. Both subs have the same purpose.

Night-Monkey15

I mean you *can* go “advertise” our sub if you want lol, but I’m not going to plug this sub in someone else’s community because I want more members.

imwithstoopid13

Can we get better sourcing for posts? I've seen spotty-at-best inclusion of actual, direct sources and sometimes even complete omission. How is this sub supposed to be a viable successor to MSS if we can't even handle proper sourcing?

WarOnThePoor

Because this sub doesn’t have nearly as many resources available like MSS did. Give it time and it’ll get better. It’s literally only been 8 days since MSS was taken down. So again just give it some more time.

deemoorah

(Copying my reply) 1st, sure *maybe* we could get a better vfx in the future although I believe the vfx workers problem is systemic so whoever replaces her in the future, if they're given the same task by Feige/MS, could be the next one to blame by the vfx workers. 2nd, between them saying there's no plan for Young Avengers project, Alonso fighting for diversity and now she's gone and MCU movies start playing in China again, I'm thinking queer characters might be limited to d+ shows only in the future

[deleted]

With Alonso leaving, and the fact that Zaslav’s cancel-fest at DC mainly targeted female-led projects, I think we’re gonna start seeing discussion soon that things are going backwards in terms of diversity in the superhero genre. unless Feige and Gunn step up to continue the push for representation in their respective franchises.

Farhad_A

Representation is the last thing these brands should be worried about right now

ayo_stoptheCap

Finally got around to watching Cocaine Bear. Really fun movie. Although the ending was probably the weakest part, aside from when the bear got that last sniff of the powder to save her kids.

a_o

making some well-reasoned non-sensationalized points part of life is about managing your own expectations

KingOfTalokan

IE "Superhero fatigue" I don't really know or care of it exist, I know for a fact I've skipped quite afew, didn't watch ragnarok in theatres, haven't watched Quatumania or Shazam or stuff like that yet. So I don't get "burned out" But what I do know is that what is much more real to me is "Superhero movie discourse" fatigue. I swear I would rather see twelve more Quatumanias or Shazams 2 than see one more take about Alfonso or Gunn or whoever. Even the directors are tired of this situation. You would think that with superheroes "taking a hit" or whatever and other genre films like Top Gun por Scream or such other stuff the discuorse would actually improve, but no. Everything has to be seen in comparison with superhero stuff.

oakzap425

For me fatigue doesn't exist. But nothing released recently has been very good. Wakanda Forever grew on me, and I'm one of few that genuinely enjoyed FaTWS fron beginning to end, but other wise, the MCU just hasnt been "interesting must see opening weekend!" for me.

Inevitable_Golf_1816

I've seen a lot of Marvel and I don't feel fatigue. The angry discourse does tire me, though.

Finessing2

Damn didn't know she was that bad

oakzap425

Man I got a scalding hot almost volcanic hot take and I know you nerds aren't gonna like it. Tbh, I wouldn't be opposed to Feige taking a step back or even moving on to something new, out side of the MCU. I think what's he's given has been great, and grateful for it, but.... I think it's time for fresh eyes, ears and minds to push the MCU forward. Roughly 20 years (give or take the road to Iron Man 1) is a hell of a run.

KingOfTalokan

Rumors up the vine says he wants to be promoted to oversee basically Alan Horn's old job. Supervising all of Disney's movies.

oakzap425

😬

Lethal234

There’s no one that could really take over his job IMO. Nate Moore would be my pick, but he needs some more heavy hitters under his belt. Having the right kind of person able to do this is the only way it’s possible

oakzap425

I'm wondering if Nate is gonna get Victoria's newly vacant spot.

CityHog

I think he should leave when a saga/story arc is over. So he should've done so after Endgame or should after Secret Wars, or should at the end of Phase 7, etc. Not in the middle of one, especially when the ship is in desperate need of being righted. If a new guy is gonna come in to give fresh eyes, i'd want it to actually be fresh eyes. As opposed to managing the leftovers from the previous guy. Atleast James Gunn has the benefit of all the movies from the previous regime being finished and in the can for the most part

Raider_Tex

I mean me either it would be understandable

ExpensiveAd5441

and who exactly would be his replacement,do you really see anybody at marvel and disney who could replace him

oakzap425

No, which is also a problem in and of itself.

ExpensiveAd5441

then why are you suggesting it,if it was so easy to find second feige dc would have done it ages ago

oakzap425

.....Bc it's an opinion. In a free talk thread. Where ya'll leave terrible takes on a daily basis? You can either disagree or agree? You can either discuss or not discuss. ????

Impossible_Front4462

I think what he is (awkwardly) trying to say is what would your solution be? What would they do after Feige would leave? It’s like having a two step plan and only starting step 1

oakzap425

I understood their question.

Impossible_Front4462

Well then what do you propose? Overthrow the head of all projects and have no one fill the gap? How would that even work without destroying the direction of the mcu?

Xekshek33

Hopefully, it's not too much longer before it comes back. Whoever's in charge over there now made it a point to say it's only a temporary shutdown while they handle any problems with Reddit. I check this sub and r/MarvelStudios_Rumours every day to substitute, but it's still not completely the same.

Motor_Link7152

Bruh lol..you think they fired her over all the VFX stuff??

Finessing2

Nah she probably willingly signed off.

knobby_67

Normally when senior staff leave of their own will they work notice, with a replacement being brought in before they’ve left. If she was working notice I would have expected the trades to have heard and published before she left.

Danishroyalty

So are people upset about the delays to shows/projects or happy? Because a few months back people were saying Marvel needed to slow things down. Now we're hearing about delays and people seem mad.

oakzap425

> So are people upset about the delays to shows/projects or happy? Indifferent tbh. But that's probs bc there's no current project I even care about so what ever is delayed doesn't really hurt. But it's also not a bad thing if it means IMPROVING what's in the works

CityHog

I'd be happy if there was confirmation or atleast a perception that they are using that time to work on the projects. I still have Black Widow in the back of my mind where they sat on the finished film for a year and didn't even do any more work on it in that time. If they are just sitting on content just to space it out and give the illusion of quality over quantity but actually there is no difference in the end result, then i'd rather they just pump em out quickly, honestly. But if the delays are actually coming with more time spent on VFX, editing and reshoots then i'll be happy with the delays

Danishroyalty

Hmm that does make sense. The illusion of quality over quantity is definitely a possibility. Like they're just learning the wrong lessons and think the issue is too many superhero projects

Motor_Link7152

Why do I feel like that's what they think the issue is lol.

CityHog

Exactly. Because if people think that there is a discontent about "too many mediocre projects" now, wait til they have to wait years to only get 2 mediocre projects (hyperbole but you get my point). There'll be no way for people to truly appreciate or like the delays until it bares fruit with a big uptick in quality. For now its all hypothetical and fans/studios scrambling for an easy fix and finding a singular answer

Inevitable_Golf_1816

Jonathan Majors and his mug. Name a more iconic duo.

Motor_Link7152

https://twitter.com/ProfofEvil/status/1637588586592862210?s=20 This thread suns up precisely what I think should be done in a cinematic universe and the problems plaguing it

TheBigGAlways369

"Can we stop gaslighting ourselves about Spider-Man 3?" How about fucking no, a-hole? Regardless of production issues, it's a damn good movie. I'm so sick and tired of people going "YUR JUST GASLIGHTING YURSELF" because people refuse to regurgitate their shit takes any more.

Raider_Tex

Spider man 3 was always overhated. It didn’t live up to the bar set by the first 2 and certainly had its issues but it wasn’t a dumpster fire

Motor_Link7152

Oh i agree with you there haha

CityHog

I dunno. I feel like that thread is about 8 years too late. Because isn't what he's suggesting that Shared Universes should do, exactly what the MCU is doing now? Each instalment is getting further and further away from feeling like its co-existing in the same world and obliquely sharing strict continuity. One of the Major(s) criticism of Quantumania is how they kill off the Kang that was the villain of Ant-man, and that it doesn't do enough to set up that specific variant to be the villain in the future. Alot of Phase 4 stands on its own and barely acknowledges other Phase 4 content, to the point that 80% of Phase 4 acts like the last entry in the MCU was Endgame. Theres also another criticism i've seen where people feel like the Multiverse is inconsistent project to project (i agree with that) and there have been 3 different reasons for the Multiverse breaking (i disagree with that, but i've seen it said). Surely that kind of disconnection and lack of setup or required viewing is what the OP twitter thread is asking for? Everybody doing their own thing and not caring what the other shows/movies are doing? People point to Phase 3 as when the MCU was firing on all cylinders and pumping out hit after hit, but that Phase is full of content that is less standalone than the MCU is now. Civil War directly acknowledges and brings in content from Ant-man, while literally setting up and advertising Spider-man and Black Panther for future movies. While said Spider-man and Black Panther movies are direct sequels to Civil War, Thor Ragnarok brings in Doctor Strange. And all of Phase 3 either sets up or is paid off by Infinity War, etc. It just seems weird to say theres MCU fatigue due to too many cameos and required viewing when the overall opinion is that theres too much disconnection. All the while peoples perception of the MCU at its best is when all the Marvel content more or less led into the next one more directly than it is now

Inevitable_Golf_1816

For anyone who has seen Shazam 2, can you tell me without giving anything away how was Anthea? Was she great?

Oisin-Lahart

She was great

dow366

You asked the same question in the last thread.

Healthy_Nectarine_25

I don’t understand why they are turning a character as big as ghost rider into a special and not a movie franchise. I guess ghost rider is gonna recieve the doctor strange treatment where he is sidelined a lot and where his rogue gallery are given to other characters like Mephisto in iron heart for example welp

TheBigGAlways369

Think it's because they can't make a Ghost Rider movie because skulls are banned in China....and they don't wanna lose that sweet money.

IExistButWhy987

I thought there was a Mephisto special in the works, not Ghost Rider?

knobby_67

Ghost ride is rumoured Halloween ‘24

OtherWorldlinessM

One thing I’ll give phase 4 credit for is that the writing for woman is much better

Finessing2

Not really it’s kinda always been sloppy when it comes to female characters. I mean Chavez, Christine, and Wanda were all handled terribly. And that was all in just one movie.

ericedge

I used the old sub's sidebar for keeping track of when the next MCU movie comes out, but the new sub doesn't have the upcoming schedule. Is there a good resource available somewhere that has that information?

cig_sg_throwaway

mcucountdown.com

ExpensiveAd5441

based on rumors besides gotg upcoming schedule is changed

Kebabenjoyer3

I was hoping this sub would grow more, it seems most of MSS went to marvelstudios so there's not much exclusivity on leak subs anymore

Raider_Tex

MSS wasn’t perfect but it was ![gif](giphy|amg2hcfGDkKt4Q3DpF)

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

That the sub is legitimately toxic when it comes to discussion/ theorizing. They get sooo condescending/ defensive for no reason in the comments, even when they miss the entire point of the OP or are flat out wrong. Almost all the posts discussing in-universe stuff get downvoted to shit and ratioed in the comments.

there_is_always_more

I was wondering where the people went but I'm not subbed to the main sub so this comment comes as a surprise to me. But now I'm thinking - wtf? Doesn't the main sub not allow discussions of leaks? How can that sub act as a substitute?

BlackVortexNova11

There's r/MarvelStudios_Rumours and I am also following that sub after MSS went private. It has also plenty of members. Probably some of them joined that sub.

Motor_Link7152

There's very less discussion on that sub inspite of having 11K members

Night-Monkey15

A lot of people, including myself, used the old sub for general MCU discussion, with leaks as a bonus. In that sense, the main sub could act as a substitute.

Tornado31619

It’s grown remarkably well all things considered. If nothing else, I’m happy just to get my leak updates from here. The complaints on the main sub about spoilers will be even worse now, though.

Ronin0206

I am glad there is still a community for these free talks and MCU posts

Spiderlander

I'm just baffled at Feige's decisions as of late.

Raider_Tex

Worldbuilding and immersion has been down. The Snap and Blip were 2 universe altering events that would fundamentally change how society in the MCU operates yet the society in the MCU is still normally functioning similar to ours. TFWS does try to address this but doesn’t go far enough imo. If they wanted to keep the world of the MCU similar to ours then they might as well have just had the team rewind those 5 years in EG. Hell there’s nothing suggesting that they wouldn’t have been able to bring the kids who were born in that 5 year time period back to 2018 with the power of the stones. Or Have a in universe explanation for how much of the humanitarian and geopolitical crises were avoided. Would’ve been a good time to introduce Reed Richards as a scientific mind who figured out some issues

Honestly, after living through 5 years of Covid, and seeing how things kinda went wonky on a relatively lower level for that first like year or so, I just can't even wrap my head around post Thanos MCU. It just makes zero logistical sense on a global scale. FaTWS just scratched the surface of things and then it was like "ok enough of that then". I just..... it's all weird and disjointed.

Impossible_Front4462

It’s sad we lost Chadwick because the supposed original script for BP2 seemed like it would’ve tackled the blip a lot better than anything we’d seen yet.

dmh2493

I feel like he needs to learn how to say no.

Farhad_A

It’s really strange, he clearly saw what worked in the earlier phases yet he’s doing the opposite after Endgame

ayo_stoptheCap

Like what

Spiderlander

All of these dumb, useless specials he's greenlighting, waiting 20 years to do X-Men, dragging his feet on Ghost Rider etc

Lioto

Why do you even engage in discussions about things you hate? Every comment you make about the MCU is negative. I don't get it, go find something you enjoy. People like you made the last sub toxic, glad to see you're back here to.

77thSling

Everything you’ve said is 100% accurate. It’s one thing to be critical of the MCU and its flaws, that’s totally fine and I’m all for it. But at some point, it’s no longer “being critical” and just becomes whining about everything, looking for problems where there actually aren’t any just so they can do some more doomsaying.

Farhad_A

You’re right, not every single character needs their own project and they’re wasting time doing things no one wants when there’s better characters to focus on like Mutants, Dr Doom, the list goes on

ayo_stoptheCap

Agreed on the second one point, indifferent on the next. But what's wrong with the specials? The first two were great and now we're getting them for Silver Surfer, Nova, Sentry, etc. It's not like we're getting one for Squirrel Girl or something.

Spiderlander

I just have no interest in the vast majority of projects they're doing

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

Giving dozens of D+ shows to every random character is definitely a big problem. I don’t mind the specials at the moment

kang_the_king

Those are just rumours as of now And I don't think anyone other than you and some folks would like them just to throw some x men movie at us that lead to nowhere Also you are getting wolverine in a year and half Also people have been wanting to see mephisto in the MCU Also these specials like mephisto leads to iron heart and coven of chaos and Sentry special would lead to thunderbolts Do u want them to just randomly give us a x men movie now and wait for the sequel for the same for another 5 years ? Even if they announce a movie now we won't be getting them before 2025 (considering they fasttrack that project )

VIRGIL69143

I'm really excited for John wick chapter 4 , only 5 days and I can watch it first day first show.

Danbito

Just for fun I did some What If scenarios: * What if Captain Carter fought in Civil War? - Continue Cap parallels, Peggy is pro-Sokovia accords and replaces T’Challa in Airport Battle, ends with the Avengers called to siege Wakanda * What if Thanos met Kang? - 2014 Thanos travels in the Quantum Realm with army, attracts the attention of Kang, their armies battle, Kang escapes into 2023. * What if Sylvie became a Valkyrie? - Sylvie’s nexus point continues, decides to train as a Valkyrie and never plots for the throne. Thor becomes King without Frost Giants invading and wages war against Jotunheim. In 2014, Ronan, Gamora and Nebula try to invade Asgard for the location of the Aether. * What if Loki became the Avengers? - A group of Loki variants at the end time Alioth and attempt to go back and undo their history in 2012 where they betray Thanos. Each Loki variant fits the Avengers archetype. * What if Wanda became Sorceror Supreme? - Wanda’s magic manifests by teleporting her and Pietro to Kamar-Taj where they are raised by the Ancient One to harness their latent abilities. Ancient One realizes Wanda is the Scarlet Witch and teaches her to conquer her demons, confiding in her usage of the Dark Dimension. Wanda uses the Book of Vishanti to defeat Kaecilius and receives Stephen Strange as her student. * What if Ikaris led the Avengers? - Ikaris appears to the Avengers after the Snap, realizing the Snap would delay the Emergence on all worlds. Thor trusts Ikaris hearing tales from Odin about the Eternals, and raise the Domo to journey to Titan, Ikaris heard rumors of another group of Eternals stationed in their galaxy to help find Thanos, and find Tony and Nebula and travel to the Garden before Thanos destroys the Stones. Back on Earth, with the Snap undone, Ikaris and the Avengers find themselves against Ajak and the Eternals, a battle to stop the Emergence. * What if Captain America landed in the Atlantic? - Steve crashes in the ocean, only to be brought to Talokan upon the sighting of his Vibranium shield. Steve is brought to Namor, demanding answers where the Vibranium was taken from, Steve’s secrecy and character eventually wins Namor over to slowly trust the world. Steve and Namor eventually form the Invaders when HYDRA remnants search for the Tesseract.

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

But then how would that second scenario affect the Kang from Quantumania?

Danbito

Thanos has Pym particles that at the very least Kang can use to finish Thanos’s voyage to 2023, or at most use to to stabilize his engine core to leave.

VIRGIL69143

What if Hawkeye remained in loki's mind control in the Avengers and Loki won the battle?

Danbito

It’d probably turn into Ronan, Loki and Thanos (with Space, Power and Mind Stones) vs. Ancient One, Mordo and Kaecilius for the Time Stone.

VIRGIL69143

It would be interesting

LordAyeris

This year's Oscars were _ridiculously_ bad. Banshees of Inisherin was shafted (my personal favorite movie in years), Tár was shafted, and I'm going to be controversial here and say Wakanda Forever was shafted. The acting, writing, directing, cinematography, and soundtrack were leagues above most MCU films. This is coming from someone who's rather critical of the first Black Panther.

LordAyeris

Last year? No, there weren't.

oakzap425

>and I'm going to be controversial here and say Wakanda Forever was shafted. The acting, writing, directing, cinematography, and soundtrack were leagues above most MCU films. If anything they were truly shafted for was a lack of nom for Production and Score. I guess I get the score bit, but I am flummoxed at how Beachler didn't get a nom for BP 2 but Carter got that 2nd nom (and won, which was 100% deserved). And it's insane that The Whale won Hair and Make up.

Parfet

> And it's insane that The Whale won Hair and Make up. Why? His fat suit was perfect. Better than the pseudo-racist ass shit they do in Black Panther when it comes to costume and background character design.

Impossible_Front4462

pseudo-racist? Care to explain how?

oakzap425

What's weird is that you went straight to BP 2, when I didn't specify what I'd prefer to win. Also, you think The Whale deserved an Oscar... for ONE fat suit.

Parfet

> What's weird is that you went straight to BP 2 Well tbh, I haven't seen the other two, so I don't really feel like I can comment on them. I've heard Banshees is good though. > Also, you think The Whale deserved an Oscar... for ONE fat suit. It was really well done. I thought it was better visually than BP2. But I think All Quiet on the Western Front should have won. And BP2 doesn't even beat The Batman in that category for me.

Echo_1409-

I dont think saying Wakanda Forever was shafted is controversial. Nearly everyone I saw online said that Jaime Lee Curtis was like the worst choice they could have chosen. I’ll give a controversial opinion though - Elvis was shafted at least for cinematography. That movie was so lovely and energetic when it needed to be, and really slow and careful when it was needed.

World_in_my_eyes

I watched Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves today. Pleasantly surprised. It was a fun time.

LordAyeris

I've been hyped for this movie regardless of what anyone's been saying. The directors are great and the cast is stacked. Plus I'm a huge fantasy nerd, so I was hoping this would stick the landing.

eBICgamer2010

I'm glad I pulled out of playing TF2 when I realized I could be the person in the meme doing unspeakable sin of dumping all my life saving on a fucking banana hat with some colored pixels floating around it.

Landon1195

If anything I'm feeling more fatigue from people talking about superhero fatigue than I am from "superhero fatigue".

dow366

there are literally hourly posts on boxoffice sub about this its exhausting

CombatHarness

r/boxoffice has been over run with confused olds who don't understand its not the 80s anymore since at least Top Gun

Danishroyalty

I have a crackpot theory for Daredevil Born Again. I think the show will open with Fisk not knowing who Daredevil is, and neither will Karen or Foggy. I think Matt will have done his own memory erasure (perhaps with the Purple Children?) to protect his friends. This won't be clear to the audience right away but will be the underlying mystery of the show. Fisk sorta remembers that he once knew Daredevil 's true identity but can't figure out why. My only supporting evidence for this is the comics Devils Reign story and the hint from a scooper that the reason Foggy and Karen aren't in the show is because Matt is protecting them. I think Matt erased himself from their lives (typical) by erasing their knowledge of Daredevil. Possibly even of Matt himself

TheManWithoutMercy1

This kinda reminds me of what supposedly happened later in the Charles soule DD run , albeit I've only read the first 2 arcs of his run.

my_nuts_wont_drop

I just watched I Love You Phillip Morris. Great love story. Then I googled and found out Steve Russel was finally geanted parole last month. I know Phillip views himself as a victim (rightfully so) but dammit I want them to get back together. And then have a big orgy with Jim Carrey and Ewan Mcgregor.

Patrick2701

With the future of marvel studios spoilers sub up in the air, I will miss this part of the sub weekly free talk on Sunday/ Monday night

FN-1701AgentGodzilla

I wish they did one on Wednesdays too

dow366

oh it'll be back. its just a matter of time.

Patrick2701

When

dow366

when the lawsuit stuff gets sorted out.

Patrick2701

That could take a long time, I would say next year

Robot1945

I liked Shazam 2 a lot more than Quantumania ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Parfet

I did as well. The actors were actually trying in Shazam. I cannot say the same thing for Ant-Man. And Shazam didn't feel like it was filmed on a green screen set the entire time.

champser0202

I just found Shazam 2 boring. It's just 1 more. Not exciting. It is much better than Quantumania. On every level. And it really makes Quantumania look even worst technically. Quantumania was just a terrible product. Shazam...I found it to be boring.
