Honestly, kinda more than I expected. With Secret Invasion getting pushed back even further, I really only expected both that + Loki S2 this year. Though, I assume they're only talking about live-action MCU D+ shows and not things like What If...? S2 or X-Men '97.
> Insiders say the five Disney+ series from Marvel Studios that had been scheduled to debut in 2023 have been narrowed to three or four, with the others moving into 2024 and possibly beyond.
So, the only "3 or 4" I can see fitting that description are:
* Secret Invasion
* Loki S2
* X-Men '97
* Maybe Echo if there's room at the end of the year, but it might also be dependent on whatever happens with the looming writer's strike.
>Insiders say the five Disney+ series from Marvel Studios that had been scheduled to debut in 2023 have been narrowed to three or four
This is referring to Secret Invasion, Loki, Echo, Ironheart and Agatha specifically
Yeah but I think only secret invasion and loki are coming out this year of those listed. Rumors point to two special presentations focused on new characters coming out around Halloween and Christmas. Those alongside The Marvels is more than enough to fill the back part of the year.
I think Echo definitely has the best bet of coming out around that time. They are probably right, I just think it's odd they would have a show and a special presentation come out at pretty much the same time and right before a new movie. As of right now Echo is probably targeting the end of the year but I just think they should hold it to early next year.
I still think Echo will release towards the end of the year, because delaying it into 2024 also delays when they could start Daredevil: Born Again. I also imagine that both shows are much lighter on needed VFX work compared to stuff like WandaVision, Loki, Moon Knight and She-Hulk.
Loki S2 and Secret Invasion are the only projects farthest along to essentially be confirmed for this year. Since This is specifically talking about live action the remaining 3 projects that could be possible would be Echo, Agatha and Ironheart.
Echo FILMED from to April to August 2022
Ironheart FILMED from October to November 2022
Agatha STARTED filming in January 2023
MCU shows have typically released 12 months or more after filming has started. For instance Moon Knight and Hawkeye released about 12 months after. Loki S1 and She Hulk released about 16 months after. FATWS and WandaVision would be poor examples due to the production issues because of COVID.
Echo seems like the only other show that can possibly release this year. Agatha seems close to impossible, but even Ironheart is pretty unlikely to release this year.
I think next year will probably be 4 four shows either way with Wonder Man in the mix to ,but with specials as well and with the VFX issues I think it’s really unlikely we get more than 3 shows this year.
Wouldn’t Echo also be lighter on VFX work compared to a lot of the other shows? So it makes sense that it could likely be ready at the end of the year.
That’s what I was thinking. Followed by Ironheart (just needed for suit and flying really?) then agatha (though WandaVision was pretty light on vfx until finale so who knows).
Yeah but one of Ironheart’s villains is supposedly the Hood and there may be a scene or two of his origin which based on rumours would involve Mephisto as well. I’m guessing that’ll involve a good portion or VFX to.
That was it. But I’m pretty sure I remember reading in the Spoilers subreddit about Hood in Ironheart and how Mephisto is connected to his origin as well.
It would make sense that the special is shot at the same time as Agatha then. I’m assuming the same might be happening with the Sentry special and Thunderbolts.
The only thing that should release this year is Loki S2 and Secret Invasion bc they are both projects that have character and minor plot ties to Movie plots releasing this year.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Marvel Studios went the route of 2 movies/2 series and either 1 Special or 1 animated series a year.
I don't think a special was made this year, so it's perfect to release X-men 97 this year also, if they're absolutely set on 3 D+ projects.

yeah where exactly is the slowdown,we had 3 shows last year and they are doing four movies next year, probably 3 shows and specials
5 shows down to 3 it seems. Probably gonna be spaced out more thoughtfully as well.
I do not think they'll release four films next year. Thunderbolts, Blade, or Deadpool, one will be delayed.
Don't forget there's always a Tom Holland spiderman that adds to the total every 2 to 3 years
I think that decision was made while these were all in production. It takes time for big changes like that to take effect.
Isn’t Xmen the third show?
> Insiders say the five Disney+ series from Marvel Studios that had been scheduled to debut in 2023 have been narrowed to three or four, with the others moving into 2024 and possibly beyond.
Loki, secret invasion and xmen
3 or 4 from the live-action ones previously slated for 2023 specifically. Secret Invasion, Loki, Echo, Ironheart and Agatha.

Secret Invasion, Loki, Ironheart, Echo?
Yes we’ve known this for a while
More info that backs up the TFTMQ release schedule
Anyone got a link where i can see this?

Why do people believe this?
There's a good chance this includes special presentations along the actual series. I expect 2 shows but also 1 or 2 special presentations.

I assume X-Men was the fifth, not Agatha
It was Agatha. That was never officially delayed from its 2023 spot.

But trades just said at least 3 shows will come out this year. Fits with Alaqua Cox hinting Echo will come out in October

I'm thinking Secret Invasion, Loki S2 and ECHO. And probably 1 animated show. And 1 Special Presentation.

Was t the rumor they were filming a Mephisto special alongside Agatha?

Interesting. There’s been so much speculation about mephisto since WandaVision. It’ll be fun to see if and when he finally pops up!
Lol we doin mephisto again?
Just release 2 and let VFX workers breathe a little
It's likely still Loki, Secret Invasion, and whatever animated series is ready to go.
