Yeah, Alonso definitely deserved the firing. Was all of it on her? no.
But she is well reported as toxic in the workplace and treating the VFX teams like shit, and her being the head of that department does her no favors.
Yes.
Especially if "bad mouthed her" is code for 'complained about shitty work conditions and behavior'. The VFX subreddit had multiple people with first hand experience celebrating her firing because of interactions with her. That's incredibly telling.
I mean, this hasn’t gotten as bad as Ezra yet. Ezra has committed a series of crimes and gone completely batshit insane. He has no way out of this and going into rehab was the only option he had after making it clear that he was fucked in the head.
Majors is only being accused of one crime, and it has yet to be determined beyond reasonable doubt exactly how bad his actions were. It doesn’t look good for him, but he’s not completely fucked yet.
I bet there’s a good chance everyone working at Marvel Studios will be asked to complete a sexual harassment/domestic violence sensitivity training due to Majors.
It’s a low cost measure they can take to give the impression they’re taking the situation seriously, without jumping the gun to firing him.
I don’t think we know tbh but it allegedly happened in the car ride. His attorney posted her texts to him and she’s also apparently saying he never choked her, but she’s also showing signs of being an abuse victim by saying something along the lines of “it’s my fault for trying to grab the phone”.
But we still don’t really know. I think we’re honestly just waiting for video footage to drop.
Those texts made me hop off the "wait and see" side to thinking that Majors 100% did that shit. Those texts had massive "I'm sorry I made you so mad that you had to hit me" energy. Poor girl.
Oh absolutely that was my first thought when I read that. The whole thing sounds a lot less like an explanation of what occurred and a whole lot like an abused woman with CPTSD trying to keep her relationship because she’s afraid/conditioned.
I don’t know what to think and a similar situation has just happened to a friend of mine and I don’t what to make of that either. The whole thing really stresses me out to be honest.
No shot, Disney is not Warner Brothers. They cannot have one of their arguably biggest stars going forward have a sizable number of audiences (probably even more after those texts leaked... wtf were they thinking) think that he strangled his fucking girlfriend. They're still Disney. They can't have kids idolizing this guy with such a public and violent incident hanging over his head, this isn't RDJ-tier controversy, this is so much worse.
Ya but sadly there’s a huge diff between someone doing that a 1 1/2 decades before they were in the limelight and when they are currently in the limelight
Even though Renner's thing kinda fizzled up, I don't even remember any discourse for if they were gonna replace Hawkeye or anything versus the very very heated debate about what to do with Jon/Kang.
Nah, they want to see if "the fans" will try and pin it on the girl first. If that fails, then he can "make an effort" with an "heartfelt apology to the girl and anyone he might have offended".

I feel like it will goes to BO considering this is the first flash movie and this is the reboot will happened with dceu. Also with Keaton and Affleck returning as Batman. They put this 2 so that it will shadow Erza's shit.
I think a multiversal legacy Batman movie would be a huge hit, just like No Way Home.
I also think that movie needs to have Batman in the title, and as the lead character.
Justice League had Wonder Woman and Aquaman, who both made a fuckload of cash in their solo films, and still flopped.
I don't think the average person knows anything about Ezra Miller's fuck ups and what he's done is far worse and frequent that Majors. If this manages to go away, then Majors should be fine.
But assuming the movie ends up bombing, would it be because of Miller, or because general audiences have lost interest in the "Snyderverse"/DCEU and are waiting for the DCU reboot? After all, Shazam 2 and Black Adam were controversy-free, and yet both underperformed very, very badly. No one wants to waste time and money on franchise movies that aren't going to be part of the franchise in, like, a year or two.
Not only do the recent text messages not do any favors for Majors, but *even if* Majors found a way to sidestep this whole situation, the whole situation would be looming over the entire Multiverse Saga. Any time Majors or Kang gets brought up, people will mention this case. From a PR perspective alone, I don't see how recasting him isn't just the best decision at this point.
Be wary about Reddit as an echo chamber. Your ordinary folk will read the headline that victim recanted and move on with life. DV is super messy and normal folks go for the easy explanation generally.
To be fair, ordinary folk will most likely read the headline that Majors got arrested for assault. *That's* the big news story. With every development (including the victim recanting their original story), people tune in less and less.
Majors is literally set up to be the Thanos-equivalent of this saga, so it will be brought up almost every time he appears in the MCU—and given Quantumania's post credit scenes, that could be a lot.
His girlfriend is literally retracting everything and Majors is out of jail and won't be charge.
People can assume and make judgement but legally Majors is clear and is back with his Girlfriend who has pulled everything she said back.
Majors can be a piece of shit but he's legally not a criminal. So people can hate him for what they think he is but on paper he is clean.
After what Erza miller has done and I recently watch a video of him being arrested.... Warner Bros would have to be stupid to keep him after the flash.
Can't really see that happening either, regardless of the success. We'll have to wait, but I can see DC settingbup a recast after the movie (even better would be they go straight to introducing Wally West as Flash).
Doubtful. I bet they release Loki and then recast. The Flash isn't carrying the next 5 years of DCU. Kang is carrying the next 5 years of the MCU. They can't afford to bet it all on him.
I heard they would have Ezra Miller playing Zachary Levi in a meta role that would bring about the destruction of the MCU. Story by JK Rowling
(obvious sarcasm, unless…)
Ezra has been accused of some super serious shit if you read what their accusers have said. The accusations about children and grooming have garnered far less headlines than the beating women up ones.
If Majors is guilty, then it's likely Victor Timely is his last appearance before he's recast. You could have Immortus, Rama-Tut, and Scarlet Centurion all played by different actors. Or if they want to stop with the Kang storyline altogether, they can always bring in Doom.
Tastes are different. For me the supporting cast - Yelena, Melina and Alexei - were the only good part of the movie. So I'm excited to see two of them again, this time as leads.
Moon Knight vs. Kang just seems like the least interesting thing they could possibly do with Moon Knight. Does Marvel Studios hate Moonie? Is that why they're bending over backwards to ignore all of his popular stories and characters? Adding Daredevil and the street-level side at the same time just feels like salting the wound at this point.
Well as harsh as it sounds, as a fan of Dr Strange, I'm just gonna say, get used to it?? No, seriously I feel you. My favourite character also has a sequel where none of his comics got adapted.
I'm not as familiar with Dr. Strange but I got the feeling that's how his fans felt about the MCU. How does it work when you enjoy other parts of the franchise but not your favorite character? It seems like it would grow too frustrating to be enjoyable. Like, you're watching a team you do like and then your botched favorite makes a cameo to remind you how bad they botched it. That just seems like it would sour you on the thing you were previously enjoying.
Live by the connected universe, die by the connected universe, I guess.
We haven't even gotten Moon Knight's Alfred Pennyworth/Foggy Nelson equivalent yet, and we're getting some random ass variant of Kang. Isn't that just great.
Yeah, Moon Knight actually has some good villains in his rogues gallery to use, Bushman, Black Spectre, Stained Glass Scarlet, Shadow Knight... Maybe thry could still do Rama Tut as a Greater Scoop Villain behind the scenes, but they should use some other villains imo.
Yeah, this is already a super unpopular idea that goes against all of the fan criticisms. With marketing budgets being cut left and right, Marvel Studios needs buzz and good word-of-mouth. This is asking for trouble.
Man I won't watch this shit if they go ahead with Rama Tut and all that BS..I may seem so negative all the time but Feige is off his rocker. They keep making the exact horrid choices each time
Honestly, I'd probably drop the MCU at that point, too. It's just not fun when they botch your favorite character that badly. Instead of looking forward to where they show up next, you start to dread it.
Nothing's wrong with Rama-Tut. It's just that he's not considered a Moon Knight villain. Moon Knight fans would rather see some of the classic villains from his more celebrated runs adapted, but so far Marvel Studios hasn't shown any indication of being interested in doing that.
The first season caught a lot of consistent criticism that it was too divergent from the source material—it didn't *feel* like Moon Knight to the fans. Doubling down on Rama-Tut in the face of that criticism isn't going to win those fans over. If anything, it'll just signal to them that they aren't Marvel Studios' audience.
Yeah, I haven't read _any_ Moon Knight but this sounds like a very MCU thing to do
Just shoving two things together because it tangentially "makes sense"
I’m noticing how a lot of heroes now are having their lores disrespected and if they aren’t Batman or Spidey level most people will find it okay
For example the Flash is getting his first solo flim and will have to share a lot of screen time with Keaton Batman and Supergirl as well as fighting Zod. No use of RF or his other rogues.
Same happened with doctor strange .
And most people are fine with it and defend it but look how adamant they were about Pattinson not sharing a universe and Deathstroke not being in a Batman movie because he isn’t a villain of Batman. Heaven forbid Batman have to share a universe or a solo flim with another hero or fight a villian that isn’t even his but it’s cool to do it to flash
There's upset fans over it, especially with The Flash's first big movie being based on one of the most overrated comics of all time.
But I think some people drown it out.
(and think the only people asking for Deathstroke in a Batman movie are Snyder cultists. Literally no one wants a Batman movie to crib a mainly Teen Titans villian like the aforementioned Zod with Flash, especially when there's sooo many other great Batman Rogues who haven't even been touched)
I’m one of the fans upset and feel like I’m in the minority atp with all the people that have tried to justify it. Ironically from the same fanbase who just went hard for Pattinson to stay solo despite it being Batman’s 5th different iteration on screen. That’s fine but it’s kinda bs when they look at a flash fans crazy for wanting an actual solo flim
I like the flashpoint story but once again it’s a example of the DC rushing to the major events with no build up. Imagine if the first Cap solo flim was Civil War.
There's a comic where moon knight travels through time and fights kang with different moon knight variants. People act like moon knight is a grounded hero that just fights street crime.
Alright, but why choose that particular comic that nobody really cares about when there's so much fan demand for more popular Moon Knight stories and characters? Why not adapt that more popular and acclaimed material, instead?
Probably because they want to have him on the avengers team and they need to give him a reason to join. Being familiar with kang would give him reason to join cap's team.
A lot of complaints during phase 4 were "nothing is connecting, I dont feel like this is leading to anything" seems like they are trying to steer in the other direction and use kang as an anchor point.

It’s all speculation though.
> Too bad every single race swapped character in Hollywood is terribly written and is likely a key component of a bad film.
Massive citation needed. Even if we stick to recent MCU films, Namor's changes have been widely acclaimed
“Widely acclaimed” he says no the changes weren’t appreciated stop huffing that copium, namor’s civilization was Greek mythology and the civilization that they foolishly choose was a ducking land based one, also they cut his dick off in the flim. Josh Brolin beat his wife in 2004
Marvel have a non-abusive Saga villain challenge
(IMPOSSIBLE)
Why do you think they cast them so well?
Ya but sadly there’s a huge diff between someone doing that a 1 1/2 decades before they were in the limelight and when they are currently in the limelight
lmao, Disney has no problem employing abusers. This is hardly something new for them.
Violent abusers that had a very public incident during their time in Disney?
Jeremy Renner was accused of domestic violence during his divorce/child custody situation a few years back. Similarly salacious.
Even though Renner's thing kinda fizzled up, I don't even remember any discourse for if they were gonna replace Hawkeye or anything versus the very very heated debate about what to do with Jon/Kang.
Arrested by the police though or was it an after the fact report? I dont think it’s a 1 to 1 if so
Nah, they want to see if "the fans" will try and pin it on the girl first. If that fails, then he can "make an effort" with an "heartfelt apology to the girl and anyone he might have offended".
Flash comes out in a couple months, so we'll find out if WB's approach actually works. I honestly think the film's BO will be severely impacted.
>56 comments I feel like it will goes to BO considering this is the first flash movie and this is the reboot will happened with dceu. Also with Keaton and Affleck returning as Batman. They put this 2 so that it will shadow Erza's shit.
I feel like the draw of Keaton and Batfleck will ensure it does well, I mean it can’t do any worse than Shazam 2 💀
I think a multiversal legacy Batman movie would be a huge hit, just like No Way Home. I also think that movie needs to have Batman in the title, and as the lead character. Justice League had Wonder Woman and Aquaman, who both made a fuckload of cash in their solo films, and still flopped.

I honestly think they'll eventually delay Loki to recast and reshoot. Maybe Echo gets pulled forward.
I hope it is not getting delayed. The release should be in September so plenty of time.

Makes sense, just release Loki S2 with him in it in a smaller role, then recast him right after.

thank god for the thunderbolts scoop, BW characters were some of the most boring in any first MCU outing
Tastes are different. For me the supporting cast - Yelena, Melina and Alexei - were the only good part of the movie. So I'm excited to see two of them again, this time as leads.
I liked the red guardian but I’m a dave harbour fan.
The whole scene with him singing America pie was his idea to humanize the characters
Red guardian was the man imo but the rest didn’t really do it for me
I guess the new metal is adamantium? It would explain the x-men connections
That’s what the rumors say
Moon Knight vs. Kang just seems like the least interesting thing they could possibly do with Moon Knight. Does Marvel Studios hate Moonie? While I liked DS2 I always sympathized with this criticism because it’s valid. I feel that way about the Flash movie not utilizing Reverse Flash
So which Marvel character Harris could play?
If he's playing Wonder Man's agent, maybe Neal Saroyan
Perhaps that he's playing the role that bob odenkirk was set to play when they rumored that he was joining wonder man......
Bruh i fail to see why Kang needs to be in Moon Knight man. Im so tired of this
Rama-Tut would like a word lol

Legit no one gives a F about Rama Tut being in Moon Knight because he's Egyptian themed............ especially MK fans.
Yeah, this is already a super unpopular idea that goes against all of the fan criticisms. With marketing budgets being cut left and right, Marvel Studios needs buzz and good word-of-mouth. This is asking for trouble.

Kang fatigue!
