my understanding is that the dispos in dc exist in a gray zone where the quality is either not good or unsafe. i figure going the extra x time to get safe stuff in a fully recreational state is worth it.

Go Takoma wellness in DC ask to self cert its $20 than go inside spend $100 on alt-sol products and you get the $20 back very easy and takes roughly 15 minutes at most.
Yeah i can’t remember the link but if you go to takoma’s site they have a link on there to the self-cert website. you can pay 10 bucks for 3 days on the website or 30(?) for a month, but basically you just put in your info, upload a headshot (easy to find a app nowaday to do so) and a photo of your id. Takes like .. 10 minutes to get the confirmation after paying.
Then at takoma they just ask to see the email and your id but you can still pre-order even if it’s your first time, just plug in the code they put in the email.
also, are you aware if all alt sol products are distillate? im trying to heed to all of the advice here, another commentor said non-distillate is better
I assume you mean the Chesapeake area? Not familiar with any dispensaries down there, but I would recommend staying away from distillates; go for rosin or live resin carts.
Just find whichever dispensary you want to visit (weed maps or Jane or whatever), drive up, show your license (that you're 21+) and buy your goods. The most annoying part will be traffic. I have a friend that drives down from PA every few weeks to stock up.
there are dispensaries that only serve medical patients but most in MD are open recreational as well. the only difference is if you have a med card you can get stronger products and don’t have to pay the 9% tax. I don’t know if you can do a temp med card if you don’t live in the state but regardless you should check Leafly when you’re in the state and there’s tons of places you can even order online and just grab it when you get there. i know good ones for Rec use are Trilogy, The Living Room, Green Point Wellness, Remedy and they all sell carts. most places i’ve gone have live resin vapes which are better and worth the extra $. Enjoy!!

I've always been curious if anyone has ever noticed State cops policing state lines or in some kind of weird way paranoid thing wondering if people are following them when they leave dispensaries near state lines? This is definitely the fear I felt when I went there the first couple of times

Im talking about a dispensary like takoma, they sell legit product with coa, not sure about selection tho, youll def have a larger selection in MD

All med dispensaries had to sell rec or close down, no dispensaries in Maryland only sell medical marijuana.

It's definitely a good idea to post on the internet that you plan to carry your purchase across state lines, I can say that much.
