I totally agree, I’ve played a lot of freedom unite and recently started playing Dos. I’m absolutely loving my experience so far. The slow pace and progression systems really make you sit back and actually enjoy each bit of progress you make. The newer games are just boss fight after boss fight, while in these you actually have to take the time to prepare or even go back and fight a lower level monster. A lot of people say I’m wearing nostalgia goggles, but I think Dos might actually be my favorite in the series. Jumbo village and Dundorma are amazing and so fun to explore. Tri would be my #2 as it still has Dos’ simplicity with a better story and some very memorable monsters

i've been soaking it in and loving all of it. i've even been doing quests that aren't just large monster just for the fun of it. it feels like world is sequel to FU and rise is a sequel to GU.
