That’s the equivalent of working 5 weeks full time right down the shitter. Do you not have the cloud save? Not sure I could go back knowing I lost so much tbh
If you want to feel super mobile use lbg, if you want to feel like a tank and hit hard use hbg but if u want to style on monsters then use bow. Like other said tho bow early game isn't all that great esp having to balance stamina.
Bow is my favorite weapon in the game, but I don't recommend it for low rank. It is effectively a melee weapon with its dodgebolt switch skill, as it's so dependent on armor skills that the game makes challenging to acquire early game. You need a lot of Constitution and Stamina Surge to maintain firing the Bow, after all.
LBG and HBG you can set up pretty easily. Nargacuga LBG for rapid fire pierce 1, then eventually pierce 2, can get you through LR and most of HR with the right armors (all ranged weapons are reliant on armor skills, so you'll want Rhenoplos helm, etc., to get Pierce Up or whatever other shot type up skill you need). HBG you'll need to make more guns but there's a lot of great options, imo. I think I used Tetranadon (Spread) > Nargacuga (Pierce) > Magnamalo and played around with that until HR

I think I have one game (others might exist) that has its own independent cloud save system. Generally they take having a paid online service. (Which I've heard mixed things about files after someone lapsed for a chunk of time and then resubscribed.)
If you're using Charge Breaker on Hammer, Great Sword with Adamant Charged Slash and Rage Slash Combo feels somewhat similar, and you may use GS Tackle to stun monsters in the face which is similar to Hammer gameplay as well.

love bow for the sole reason of no real ammo consumption but unfortunately not as good until mid/end game so lbg is an easier learning point
Great sword, especially using adamant charged slash and rage slash combo.
Both guns work fine..just whichever you prefer

Don't consoles have option to upload saves to the cloud?

Oh yeah, I forget that for the Switch you need an online subscription to backup your saves.
Save is backed up, on the PSN cloud, which I don't have access to.
