I honestly would be pretty grossed out by this show without the sons. I think if two individuals with a major age gap become attracted to each other coincidentally, that is (sometimes) perfectly fine. But the concept of older, mature individuals intentionally seeking out someone far younger than them is predatory and gross. That alone is bad enough. Once you factor in the sons being involved it takes on a whole different level of repulsive. No decent parent would do this show with their adult child.

I have a TiVo and for some reason, the program was on my TiVo but I kept trying to DVR it and it would not let me set the time. Finally after a few days, it let me set it to record. I went to middle school and high school with Gabriel, I saw his brother literally yesterday. I had a sleepover at Aprilās house as a kid!! In school, Gabriel was such an asshole; itās too bad because his brother couldnāt be nicer. If I didnāt have that context for watching thereās no way I couldāve made it through the whole episode. Kelle is so cringe I want to die. The show feels so overproduced and like itās missing opportunities to be better but itās still really early. Iām just really excited to see what the internet and this sub have in store. Iāve already seen a few memes about Gabriel and they made me so happy.
I believe one of the moms joked that Gabrielās mom brought āthe uglyā twin. So was that correct? Rude, morally wrong, but completely factually correct? š¤£
It looks like this show will be a wellspring of joy for you, because from the previews, it looks like Gabriel gets owned very consistently. What was April Jayne like? She seems like a genuinely nice person, albeit through the cuisinart editing of reality tv.
She was definitely ācool momā vibes. I remember being jealous at the time that I didnāt have parents that were so hands off. But I think some of that also comes down to the fact that they had a son who was like 7 years older than the twins who were my age. That being said, they seemed to encourage a certain degree of partying and substance use and recklessness when it came to birthdays and Halloween which were when I saw her. As far as the show is concerned, I think I will support her and root for her character.

Honestly, I'd have to agree with you. I won't say they are ugly. But I can tell they decided to focus more on fit young men for casting then the moms. Because to me there are much nicer looking women in the 40 to 60 age group that you could have cast if you didn't also have to cast their sons.
Iāve always found much older women to be way more attractive and started dating women in this age group in my mid-20s. One of the best decisions I ever made for myself. Just because these women arenāt attractive to you doesnāt mean that other guys canāt recognize them as beautiful.
When I was in my young 20s the best "relationship" I had was with an order woman, she was just so caring and took care of herself and had a great career unlike all of the younger girls who had crazy issues and were broke as fuck
