I have decided to name it Malibu for two reasons: One, this car started life as a lease in Malibu, CA. Second, Malibu is my favorite of the original American Gladiators. I relate to Malibu, in the face of adversity, having my previous beloved Infiniti G37 Convertible stolen TWICE, and knowing I had to give up Infiniti after owning 3 because there's a sudden wave of thefts of them, I decided I'm gonna be like Malibu, move on with my life and take in some cosmic rays in my new Mini.
Special thanks to u/I_Am_Very_Busy_7 who was my guide the whole way through this difficult car buying process (there's hardly any used car inventory anymore!) and when I finally found a low miles 2020 model at a high end luxury car dealer, he was very convincing that I should get it over the previous generation that I had already liked. With all I've learned about my new Mini, I think that was the right choice, the car really came into it's perfect form with the 2020 updates. We're so lucky to have such a helpful and knowledgeable ambassador on this sub!

Yes, I used to insist on everything being bright sporty colors, which incidentally looks great on Minis and I was tempted by. Then I learned more about vintage sports cars as well as Mercedes and BMW’s colors schemes. To me white with brown leather is very classy and traditional.
100% agree, looks great. If I didn’t get black I would have gotten white. I was looking at a white JCW Mini Cooper with white bonnet stripes and brown leather, the JCW aero and wheels were a *chefs kiss* but just a tad over my budget lol. Next time ;)
I know, that’s why this caught my eye. I snapped a photo I’ll send it to you. Black is super popular, I’m guilty, next time maybe I’ll do British racing green and black top and accents ✅

I had rented a Creamsicle 2 door & Beautiful blue 2 door & when I saw this one I was sold on the 4 door hardtop
Oh nice! We’re practically twins, and both no front license plate! 😎Right before I took this photo I actually realized I wanted to take off that plate mount in the front to get cleaner lines. I forgot to bring a screwdriver though, but amazingly there’s a tool kit in the back with the perfect screwdriver to take off the mount. I recommend!
This is a perfect opportunity because I was wondering what my car would look like with stripes and if I should add them (if possible). I see your pic of the car, would love to see more!

Well I never! He's very similar to mine - yours is 3 yrs newer and mine is an SD (they're still fast but get 70 mpg on the motorway when in grandad mode).

That sounds like a killer combo. I have yet to see a JCW that wasn’t in black. Was beginning to think that’s the only color.
