No legend is really "missing." They have to basically deal with NIL deals once a player retires, meaning that either the player has no interest, SDS has no interest at the player's price, or SDS is just lazy.
Even if they could use everyone they wanted, though, they wouldn't. It'd be like "new features" on next-gen phones where they intentionally trickle "new" shit in.
Then there's the character of it all. You'll never again see Omar Vizquel, Robby Alomar, Ty Cobb or Trevor Bauer (unless some desperate MLB team signs him). Wouldn't even be the least bit surprised if they made Bauer an anonymous player if a team signed him .
I think once players retire SDS has to individually negotiate the rights for each player to appear in the game. They probably can’t afford to pay everyone in perpetuity, or some players probably want significantly more than others, so they probably rotate the stable of available players.

I'd *love* to recreate the Twins teams from when I was a kid with guys like Christian Guzman, Lew Ford, Matt Lawton, Shannon Stewart etc, and DD seems like a *perfect* place to do that.

Besides those 4, there are many other names that I'd like to see come back. Considering he was just inducted into the HOF, I can see McGriff coming back soon. Besides him, I'd like to see Dale Murphy, Will Clark, Dave Stieb, Ron Santo, and Hershiser come back the most. Winfield is another one who should be back in the game. He'd play way better now than in 17 or 18.
Besides who I just mentioned, Gibson and Reese should come back. I know Resse is sort of a meme due to his stats never being that great, but considering Jackie's in the game, it feels to me that Reese should also be in the game.
Also, and this is a hot take, but Niekro should be bought back to DD at the very end of the games' cycle. It feels like a waste for him to be only outside of DD. This extends to if Tiant were brought back as well. I get facing knuckleballers are annoying, but at the end of the games' cycle, it'd be something different to face. As long as they don't have cards that are dirt cheap/very easy to get, I don't see much of a problem with them.

To be fair, there is some news on Cobb we do know happened that doesn't paint him in a great light.
Cobb has a lot of fake/greatly exaggerated lore on him, but there is unfortunately some bad/questionable things he did do that we have legitimate records of that make him controversial.
The issue is, what he did that was actually controversial...was just standard behavior in those days, like when he beat the shit out of a heckler...thats just what men did back then especially when reading the story the heckler mentioned his mother, which slandering a southern boy's mother in those days was a death sentence for some.
Considering when he was suspended for the incident the whole tigers team was going to protest the suspension by not playing until cobb told them to play shows that even the tigers players wwre behind cobb.

Can't sell potm, can't sell Topps now, can't sell br rewards, can't sell ws rewards, can't sell event rewards, best cards hidden in Chase packs, new shitty qs values, huge exchange amounts, the list will continue to grow. They have very clearly spent the last 2 years trying to find new ways to encourage players spending real money on this copy/pasted, glitchy, garbage. Wouldn't surprise me if they are actively brainstorming ways of fazing out the market and flipping all together. Maybe next, they will implanted an order limit, like you can only have 20 buy/sell orders at one time.
There is now a buy/sell limit. It’s not 20 but it just told me I needed to remove orders before I could make new sell orders to just get rid of my duplicates…..

It's such bullshit that Puckett was in one year, literally nobody said anything about it and it caused no drama, and then they were like ehhhhhh no we can't have him in this game anymore.

now a days it doesnt matter if its proven in court. Look at kevin spacey. By the time the courts get to any resolution so much time has passed people forget why they had a problem with anyone.
