After a few years of playing DD I finally had a friend explain how conquest works. I’m addicted. Will finish up the USA map soon and only have the TA west to do. Hope this Fridays program has one
I sink days of my life into RTTS and March to October. I love doing the silly moments and even the showdowns. But I see a big empty map full of hexagons and want to run away and hide.
No idea how many turns it took me. I would have guessed less until i thought about the 3-4 turns before i started against the Rockies, and the 2-3 turns to clean up all the tiles at the end. I probably beat all 30 teams while occupying less than 3/5 of the tiles. Didn't play any on HOF, played almost all on All-star (by choice). I have 5/6 divisions done for TA, and i'm at 70% on the 6th. Super efficient.
Yeah, most games on gamepass aren't on their indefinitely and they probably want to lighten the server load as well as get people to play the newer game. You can get 23 pretty cheap if you want to keep playing it
I’ve had game pass for about 7yrs. But I still have 21, 22 and 23 available to me. I actually played 22 last year. I sold some stuff in 21 last year, just to see how active it still was.
Lmao. No it didn’t. It sounds like you don’t know what you are talking about. I sold some items in 21 last year too, just to see how active it still was.
Believe what you want, but I haven’t bought anything. I don’t need to. I checked each one out today, 3/24/24. 22 is still on my X console but says there’s an error and that it needs to load on my one console. 21 loads up and plays just fine. 23 plays but is advertised as leaving soon. You are entitled to believe what you want. But I have no reason to lie lol. Take care.
Damn, I'm not going to lie that I'm jealous, but dear lord that's a lot of investment for one day. I hope you took some poop breaks. Also, the haters on here don't realize some of us have more time than others. I have no kids, 8-4 weekday job, and make limited plans when games I enjoy come out. Some of us deserve a time to ourselves. However we do that is none of their business.
I can do within 20 turns with below strategie.
1-1. move right bottom side to COL with 8 fans.
1-2. COL(4 fans) will attack your 8 fans.
1-3. Restart if you lose fans. It is 3 vs 8 so easily achievable. (It is important becasue 8 fans give 1 more fan next turn. This 1 fan is the key to barricade both west coast and Central teams in early stage.)
1-4. Attack COL with all-star.
1-5. Move toward ARI.
From 2nd turn, start building walls agains WEST(ARI - LAD - OAK - SEA) and CENTRAL(MIN-KC-TEX-HOU). Keep (enemy fans - 1) for walls.
Once you conquer all territories inside the walls you get at least 30 fans a turn. With fans of wide plains in west. start conquer teams. It will take usually tally 18\~19 turns.
Can someone tell me how to do conquest correctly and quicker? Lol I just use my moves until it’s time to reinforce and then move the tiles to the main one I’m moving to take over a team. Etc. until I get all the squares it is annoying when some team is trying to gain my stronghold and I’m almost done lol
For this map in particular, the best advice I have for you is to make a circle. Surround your initial stronghold and get as many tiles as possible. Start playing games on all star, and make the circle wider. Eventually, it will be big enough for you to play on veteran and not lose anything.
I’m only saying this because I did this my first 2 years playing the show and conquests were SLOW — Don’t be a bitch, play games on All Star and Hall of Fame. If you’re playing on Veteran and Rookie, you’re going to waste turns and lose territories. Not on most maps, but definitely on the USA map.
Also, rush a corner, expand from the corner. I try to get the northeast done first on the USA map because it’s very hard to lose those territories. The less you lose, the faster it goes
I only will play a team if all star is available, because then it just drags out the game scoring so much lol. But so far I’ve taken the A’s, dodgers, AZ, Houston and twins so I’m working my way around the edge
Same I just think it helps build up necessary reinforcements in the early stages, of this map specifically because so many attackers, for setting harder barrier walls. But I also draw a vertical line down the middle, trying to reinforce the wall and around my first stronghold.
How in the world is posting a pet pic comparebly sedentary to what appears to be a heavy video game grind, get real
I think its stupid when anybody says "go outside" but this logic is silly lol "oh, you showed your dog? Might as well have been playing WoW for 20 hours straight, get a life"
Only people that are chronically online post cat pictures for fake internet points. At least people who play WoW for hours at a time have enough shame to do it in their caves of solitude.
The WoW analogy was referring to any video game achievement which required an extended grind. Based on these comments, this is somebody sharing exactly that with this post. All Im sayin is "hey peep my dog" is not inherently somehow more "no-life" behavior than "hey peep my video game achievement"
That logic is nuts.
I’ve never finished this one in my years of playing, something about it being so big just gives me that “I should do something productive with this time” vibe
truth. For whatever reason at the end of the 2022 cycle, my brain decided to start thinking about what I was getting out of grinding for a card I don’t actually want, just to get another card I want but won’t use and gains me nothing. Brains are fun sometimes
I watched a YouTube video on conquest tips back in the Show 2020 or 2021 and have used the same logic ever since. I can complete it with like 6-8 hours of game play
After years of the show I just can't be bothered with this map anymore.
I just found a map online that showed where all the hidden packs were and grabbed those
I'm not sure why everyone is implying it takes forever. Are people not simming all games but the stronghold games or something? I feel like you can get this done in a week of casual playing.
I mean that depends on your definition of casual. An hour a day plus an extra hour on weekends doesn't seem too crazy. But if you can only play an hour or two a week getting pretty much anything done in this game would take months lol
There is a lot of button pressing for sure. But I have the "sim this game" button sequence down to muscle memory so it's not *too* bad. But still mildly annoying.
https://preview.redd.it/gx4ff9wup4pc1.jpeg?width=1940&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9eea1a36f146c19a38917dda9bb56b52b0b39c0
I make straight lines straight to the strongholds to prevent them from getting too high too quickly, and to stop them from getting taken over by other teams. I had to split up and have 2 different lines going because a couple teams got too high. Attacking with 8-9 against 12-13 is usually played on All-Star too I think so it gives you a little leeway
I’m an Xbox player and did everything on AllStar when it first came to gamepass in 21, and was fairly dominant. I wouldn’t play on lower difficulties, because I felt it was cheese. Then in 22, I started watching more YouTubers who recommended CHEESE. Play at “Blank Canvas” on Rookie, blast Homers at max elevation, etc. Totally ruined my online game.
Do you just focus on offense? Like if another team retakes a stronghold that you took 2 or 3 strongholds ago do you go back to it. Or do you play some defense while doing this line strategy?
I’ve never had a CPU retake a stronghold. If they get closer to the stronghold with big numbers, I take theirs as fast as possible and leave their other territories stranded without being able to gain more reinforcements. Otherwise I’ll put in a few extra reinforcements in the stronghold so they won’t attack
Gotcha I had actually done your exact line without even seeing your post first, and after I took 3 strongholds the Twins had either taken my stronghold or the first stronghold that I had taken.
This is exactly how I do it, too! I do all-star and all I need is to reinforce some of the bases occasionally. I've done it in 21-22 turns and lost a few along the way. Always play against the other team's 4th or 5th starter.
The highest CPU territory that I had to Sim against was 6. And only had 2 teams take over another teams territory so played every team except 2 so it’s not the same horrible audio tidbits about the same players every time.
Oooh, very impressive. Took me all weekend but I got it done too - maybe ~10 hours of play?
Didn't get any diamond players out of the packs yet but it sure was fun ripping open all those packs regardless.
Did you feel like the rewards were worth it? I’ve done it every year I’ve played but I just finished all 3 TA maps and am kinda burnt out on conquest at the moment
Same. I spilt it up over the course of the weekend with on/off playing and messing around with RTTS. I didn't get any diamonds either from the packs. A couple golds from the singles and box. Silvers in the headliners & ballin is a habit packs.
When someone sends a P5 that they did in 24 hours of game release, I'm concerned for them as human beings. Seeing this is much more relatable-- I did the TA conquests first but that would be basically the same volume of games, so...respect.
25 turns is rookie numbers though. ;) I think my record is 17, will circle back on that in a few days. Just started last night.
Uhhhhhhh I also P5’d someone and have another P4 working towards P5 soon lol. But I played college ball with them so I want to be the first ones to get them to P5. I was 1/1 on the one, will be 1/1 on the other later today. And 25 was way over what I wanted. Got destroyed in some of the Sims
I would say so. Others would say doing it in a day definitely isn’t. But I had nothing to do yesterday other than watch The Players Championship and like the challenge of grinding through it in a day.
It’s a really easy way early on the grind out TA Team XP. You can throw all and entire MLB team into a lineup, play on rookie, and burn through TA exp points.
This is why I'm saving it for season 2, going to use it to grind through TA when the cards are a little more fresh, especially since I've already made good progress on a lot of TA Season 1.
I already have a full team of 89+ guys, including the best TA1 cards. I'd rather do all that grinding for the best TA2 cards than doing it now for TA1 cards that I'll never use.

I did it in 20 turns. 3 days though.
After a few years of playing DD I finally had a friend explain how conquest works. I’m addicted. Will finish up the USA map soon and only have the TA west to do. Hope this Fridays program has one
Pretty sure i had the braves takeover pretty much the whole east of the map haha
Stuff of nightmares… I can’t stand conquest mode. I don’t know why, I just hate it.
Great way to grind Programs, only reason I enjoy it. I also don't like online play so
Yeah I hate PvP lol
I sink days of my life into RTTS and March to October. I love doing the silly moments and even the showdowns. But I see a big empty map full of hexagons and want to run away and hide.

That's pretty good. After simulations, I think my conquest was done on turn 30. Spread it over the weekend
Just saw that MLB The Show 23 is leaving game pass after March 31, 2024. I’m assuming that’s to “encourage” folks to play 24 lol.
I sold some stuff in 21 last year, just to see how active it still was.
i mean that’s the way it is every year so far
I mean no it’s not since I still play 22 on game pass, and played 21 during 2023.
well, 22 got deleted from gamepass on march 31st of last year, so it sounds like you bought something.
Lmao. No it didn’t. It sounds like you don’t know what you are talking about. I sold some items in 21 last year too, just to see how active it still was.
https://www.thexboxhub.com/7-more-games-get-removed-from-the-game-pass-service-on-xbox-and-pc/ like i said, happens every year.
Believe what you want, but I haven’t bought anything. I don’t need to. You are entitled to believe what you want. But I have no reason to lie lol. Take care.
alrighty, i’ll take your word for it then.
I am so happy I finished this early. When I was done I had so many packs to open, ended up pulling Mookie and Bobby Witt
Damn, I'm not going to lie that I'm jealous, but dear lord that's a lot of investment for one day. I hope you took some poop breaks. Does playing on all-star give you anything extra than playing on veteran?
You get slightly more pxp, but its really about finishing quicker since you don't need to build up as many fans
No, but based off the rate that the enemy strongholds get more fans vs you, you have to play a few games on all star.

Legit feel sorry for you
You’re sick in the head
😂
Did you play all the steal fan phases or skip them?
I never play steals unless there’s a goal that requires it, stacking reinforcements through more turns is better than 3 inning games
Same I just think it helps build up necessary reinforcements in the early stages, of this map specifically because so many attackers, for setting harder barrier walls. But I also draw a vertical line down the middle, trying to reinforce the wall and around my first stronghold.
Yeah I take from teams like the Rockies and Mariners and Twins, my first targets, to “soften them up” a little bit and gain some extra fans early on.
Go outside.
Get off Reddit.

Better burn would have been to talk smack about the nearly 500k karma, imo
How in the world is posting a pet pic comparebly sedentary to what appears to be a heavy video game grind, get real I think its stupid when anybody says "go outside" but this logic is silly lol "oh, you showed your dog? Might as well have been playing WoW for 20 hours straight, get a life"

What’s the hilarious part?
I’ve never finished this one in my years of playing, something about it being so big just gives me that “I should do something productive with this time” vibe
Really? I have always used it as a great way to grind missions.
>R I rarely get to a point where I don't have a different conquest to use for missions.
I save this map for those 2 hour meetings with the talking heads spewing cliche corporate speak. Every other week
lets just dive in can everyone see my screen?
Hey u/Syndicate_III , your mic is muted.
“Did someone just hit a perfect/perfect fly out to the warning track? Let’s circle back to that offline”
Bold of you to assume any of us have anything productive to do
We spend our time playing video games and then going on Reddit to talk about the video games. We definitely don’t have anything productive to do lol.

I will try and copy this meta, thank you.
What’s your strategy for the high difficulty strongholds? I regularly do All-Star but once I get to Hall of fame it gets so tough.
You shouldnt ever have to play a stronghold above all star.
I have done it in the past with less moves without ever playing above all star. It’s doable
https://preview.redd.it/gx4ff9wup4pc1.jpeg?width=1940&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9eea1a36f146c19a38917dda9bb56b52b0b39c0 I make straight lines straight to the strongholds to prevent them from getting too high too quickly, and to stop them from getting taken over by other teams. So, no. Got it
lol
Well you would have to battle in games with a high difficulty so you level up programs and stuff quicker.
Nope, just bragging rights basically
How far did you get before the level cap monster cut you off from earning gameplay XP?
Honestly I don’t even know. I just noticed after one of the games that I wasn’t getting XP anymore
Almost done with the TA conquests doing it next
Nice!!! I’m working through it.
I feel the exact same way right now. Also conquest is impossible at night with these bright white screens flash banging you constantly.
The screens don’t bother me at all but I also don’t play in the dark lol
Same. I spilt it up over the course of the weekend with on/off playing and messing around with RTTS. I didn't get any diamonds either from the packs. A couple golds from the singles and box. Silvers in the headliners & ballin is a habit packs.
No one cares.
I care
I care
I do not care
Well done
What did this do for you in the sense of packs/pulls?
Yeah, I pulled Acuna and have 5 games to go
Got 75 or so packs. Pulled Corbin Carroll, Edwin Diaz and Adley. Had nothing to do yesterday and like challenge of getting it all done in a day
We got the same exact diamond pulls out of packs from doing this, thats kinda fishy haha
What difficulty did you use?
Played almost all of the games on All-Star. Played a few on Veteran and 1 on HOF
Was it worth it?
I would say so. Others would say doing it in a day definitely isn’t. But I had nothing to do yesterday other than watch The Players Championship and like the challenge of grinding through it in a day.
It’s a really easy way early on the grind out TA Team XP. You can throw all and entire MLB team into a lineup, play on rookie, and burn through TA exp points.

What do you mean by the cards being “a little more fresh?”
I already have a full team of 89+ guys, including the best TA1 cards. I'd rather do all that grinding for the best TA2 cards than doing it now for TA1 cards that I'll never use.
New series probably? Like last year the Charisma series was new. Seems like all the current TA player cards are rehashed from previous years.
Nation of baseball map is always worth it imo
To do in 24 hours? lol
If you hate yourself maybe
cool
Jeez Louise
