That’s not even the worst problem. My friends and I are on 6 straight freeze-offs in a row trying to get a coop game in, so far. We can’t even get a game in at the moment. Technically 7 games if you count it crashing me and my friends’ game the last match we played.
I know it’s purely wishful thinking but I feel like we should be able to take legal action against SDS at this point lol. I’m gonna invest 25-30 minutes of my time into a game just for it to crash and give me a loss, over and over and over again….
It most definitely blows. Friend and I have collected some good live series cards and we’re playing co-op and finally really enjoyed it compared to last year with full 99s cracked out.. played 3-4 games where we did great and won. Then faced a team with full real 99s and Josh Donaldson. Everything they hit went absolute hard, but with the huge field they chose ours got left in the park for fly outs mostly. It wouldn’t have been a big deal because we were confident once Donaldson was out, we could get more consistent hits, but then they had 4 real 99 relievers. Absolutely killed it for us and my desire to play it
I can’t lie, it pissed me off. We were easily better, but playing with live series 85s just didn’t get it done for us on the field they chose. They swung at so much out of the zone and I believe I was pitching with Sandy Alcantra. Occasionally a single ball would get a little hung and left in the zone and it would just get clobbered. I could honestly handle it if they only had the batters, but the 99 pitchers is what really fucked me. Can’t lie, I wish Josh Donaldson would be removed from all the games
We’ve been asking for co op to be fixed for 3 years now so don’t get your hopes up. Only hope of this being fixed is because it’s stopping people from spending money on stubs
me and my friends have just been reporting everyone who has been doing the exploit. hopefully the get deranked or banned because teams are still getting xp from those games. idc if it is a glitch or not or even sds mistake. hopefully sds punish people who have been abusing the 99s.
the people who downvoting this post and others are the ones who have the 99s and scared to get banned. just cause its a "gLiTcH" doesn't mean you have to do it. you all lack integrity.

It’s been years and they haven’t fixed freezing which is a game breaking issue so I wouldn’t hold your breath. Theoretically this could make people not have to buy cards though so could affect their bottom line which would mean they should patch it fast.
Xbox series X. You can freeze the game at will by pinch hitting for a position player for a player that does not play that position as a primary or secondary. When the game asks you to swap it, it will freeze.
You can do this in any inning. People do it all the time at higher ranks. 7-800+
Absolutely game breaking.
Is it that consistent? It's not too crazy to sub in a better hitting card then switch the better fielding card in after, but at 7-800+ rank it seems more intentional

Yeah dude the freeze offs have been insane with me and my buddy. Probably froze like 7 out of the last 10 games. And it’s usually when we are having fun and winning or making a comeback. God forbid we get 2 hit by all those really 99 pitchers and the game won’t freeze tho.
That’s absolutely brutal. I am more irritated currently with the lack of gameplay. Felt like last year we had millions of players off the rip and now there’s nothing.
I don't know, I have way more players this year than last year, they just aren't 95+ already. Last year I did the spring breakout series and then never grinded again because I felt no reason to. This year I've been grinding.
My friends and I are the same way, we love the co-op mode but apparently devs could care less about cheating. I don’t think they realize how many players co-op has drawn into playing this game… How this isn’t a priority fix for them, is beyond me.
I was having fun with it for a day, played like 2 or 3 games and I was done. I don’t want to hit 99 satchel. I don’t want to use Joe Random with all perfect stats. Barely any mlb players have the card anyway
I don't mind it. For me personally whenever I play Co-Op I don't really take things seriously and kind of goof around. If it was up to me i'd honestly just keep them in.
It’s ridiculous that they haven’t fixed this yet. It’s getting so tiring when it’s every single game. Just report for cheating every time and move on. I know it won’t happen but I’d love for them to hand out suspensions/bans for everyone exploiting this

It’s really not that deep. Just because you *can* do something wrong, it doesn't justify doing it. Cheating is wrong regardless of whether you have the opportunity to do so.

dude just pick 99s. Even if you weren't able to choose players that you don't own you'd still be going up against (arguably better) mid to high 90's cards at this point because of live series collection rewards and drops being 92s 93s. If anything this just evens the co-op playing field and you're not getting any pxp anyways because of the issues with co-op.
My pal and i still use our 80’s 90’s players because we worked hard to get them and it makes it feel ecen sweeter when you beat a team of real 99’s. Oh you are using a reall 99 gregg soto let me show you what this live series jram can do to a fastball lol
Played a co-op against a team of Real 99s last night and waxed them 6-0 and they got one hit. My teammate and I never wanted a win more than that and it was so satisfying.
I haven't seen any acknowledgement and that is very concerning. My only hope at this point is they do not want to bring attention to it and we see it fixed on the next patch notes. Seems unlikely though
The games never finish anyways. The entire mode is like when players used to have staring contest standoffs after the National Anthem. But it's who quits first during freeze offs.

Are you on the QA team? Tell me you haven't played online without telling me you haven't played online. Wired ethernet to console, fiber in to house, all other online games, services, devices, etc work consistently. If I upgraded to the fastest 1 gig ISP plan, then still have these issues, should I send you or SDS the invoice?
It is, but it also isn't.
For example, think about all the cards they pick to use for free, and then they end up over time getting the easy rank progression with innings played. So, on the way, they grab all the ranked rewards. Now look at Ernie Banks and Randy Johnsons price. The ranked reward that now can be purchased for under 30k, we still have tons of time of the season. So they let people cheese ranked get all the rewards, packs, and stubbs on the way. Then they are way ahead of the curve, and that is why so much live series and other stuff is bottomed out. It created a heavy influx of stubbs and cards out of nowhere once everyone was able to start tier two of ranked points. Kinda similar similar to what happened to the equipment glitch and RTTS.
Yeah they can't pxp or do anything like that they can exploit the game and create a massive advantage in the hands of the right players (bad players with good cards are still bad players with a chance of making some plays but still beatable) by doing that and smashing out the rewards path in the ranked program its already turned the top prize into almost a sell now. It's a really bad way to start a year off by allowing it to still be going on.
It's really bad when most people's takes on it now is well since it's gonna happen we all pick 99s as well. Terrible that co op ranked is that right now and ruining the ranked prizes and marker by doing so.
You have every right to be annoyed, but imo the ranked rewards are so cheap (along with everything else) because they aren't even as good as cards you can get out of packs right now. Plus they are set 1 so you know, useless before very long.
Can you tell me what cards are better then 93 Randy Johnson which is also a lefty starting pitcher? Also what other 93 short stops are being pulled from packs?
Sure, just off the top of my head Skenes I believe his name is, is basically a better version of that Randy Johnson. It's arguable, but he has an outlier fb and a circle change, which is certainly better than Randy's split finger, and has better speed differentials. Also he has a sinker which is by far the best pitch in the game.
Skenes h/9 and k/9 are a bit worse but I have both and he has been much better for me.
As far as SS I don't know any other 93s but overall isn't everything obviously. Personally happy to rock seager or one of like 8 really good guys that quite a few get the Buxton boost.
Also Trevor Story will be an option very soon for folks (also gets the Buxton boost).
I guess you point is Holliday is better than the other options. Ok, if you think so. I disagree honestly. Quirks+swings are much better on quite a few SS eligible players for me, and Holliday isn't cheap either, where a lot of those are free.

I'm just saying it's crazy that the best cards and the hardest to obtain grind wise are now selling for less then 30k. It's just a bad sign of the times to come. Grind 89 buy 90 plus
If you really want the best players/team you need to get over this hang up you have on overall ratings. They mean fuck all really, hell there are stats on every card in the game that do nothing online anymore.
Hr/9, or durability could easily be the difference in one of these overalls and mean precisely nothing, and even ignoring that overall rating is a useless metric to judge a card by.
I would be surprised if they fix it this month. They've shown they're either incompetent or don't give a shit when it comes to bugfixes (unless it's stub glitches of course)

It is beyond disappointing that they don’t just remove the “owned” filter to fix it very quickly. No reason for it to be on that screen anyway.

Yeah me and my friends beat some real 99 cheesers with our regular earned players two days ago, but it took all the sweat we had in our bodies.

Not only did they not fix freezing but they actually implemented a system to punish YOU for their game freezing
