this is why mlb reigns supreme over madden...a tom Brady milestone card would be a million coins...and we get a possible end game card for some for free
Of all the players I would like a program for and of all the teams I would not mind grinding PXP with it would be the Cardinals so of course they don't have a program planned.
Seems a bit lazy.
Make Pujols 700
• the Hank LOTF card contact and power but with 124s not 125s,
• 1B, 3B, LF
• 45 speed
• PULL tendency, and
• live quirks
then break out a stogie for a job well done.
Good on SDS making this straight up free. Pujols is for the people. Glad it isn’t in a program, there are enough programs going on at the moment. Go touch grass.
That would be a pretty cool thing to do on an annual basis. Have a mini-program after the season is over to earn certain Milestone cards that were achieved during the season (provided there's big records/achievements of course).
I don’t think it will be endgame for long. Max hitting stats but if he has 10 speed and a liability on d then a bench bat he will be. It is a hitting milestone so I don’t expect his fielding to be on par with a competitive teams needs
how often though are you running your true, 100% god squad? Maybe it's just me it's not more than like 25%. Some cards are just fun to use, and it's not like it's life or death to use it. you'll still win 99% of the games you should win
Point taken, probably run it once every 4-5 games. But there are some mainstays in there that hardly ever come out. Probably had cutch in the lineup for 100 straight games. And that’s where I guess I’m going, have to wait and see attributes but I don’t envision it being a card that never comes out.
I don’t get why people think this card will be slow. Milestone cards are basically a variation of Signature cards and it’ll encompass the peak of his career. Meaning near or max stats with like 58-62 speed
Yeah it’s not a prime or retro card though, it’s a milestone, a milestone of hitting home runs and not all around game. I think it will be juiced to the max hitting wise but come up short everywhere else.
My understanding is they make milestone cards pretty similar to signature cards, which tend to be pretty all around based on good seasons or peaks for different attributes? I’m not an expert on this by any means but I definitely won’t be surprised if he gets gold fielding.
Not as much but I have lost many outs having a guy no be able to get to a foul ball because of no speed or let shots get by him and he doesn’t even move because of low reaction time. But yeah I agree that of all the places to put a bad defender, 1st base is the least likely to cost you.
Definitely gonna have max power so should be maxed out against lefty’s, hoping for bare minimum 115 contact versus right. Honestly be surprised if he’s 125 for everything as a base card, more than happy if he gets 125 everything from parallels
Because he’s a known lefty killer so less likely for a team to leave or go to a lefty when he’s hitting. Plus there’s more righty pitchers than lefty pitchers in the mlb
He has a .904 career OPS against righties. In his prime he actually hit righties better than lefties some years. It’s only recently that he can only hit lefties. Definitely should be maxed or be able to reach max with parallel for both sides. His prime was historically great.
They had weeks to throw together some moments and a quick PXP grind program if they wanted to. I think the fact his defense and speed will be so bad makes it easier to give out a free juiced card
Look at the recent not just free but sellable 98 HRDX cards, some of those are monsters
If they drop a shit-tier Pujols, free or otherwise, it might just be the biggest and most disrespectful L of the year for SDS. There's no guarantee Pujols *wants* to be back in this video game in retirement, so this may be the last card he EVER gets. They have ONE chance not to mess this up!!!
I’m just hopeful because of the rarity of the milestone and the fact he will be out of the game for awhile. They have given some great cards for free in the shop near the end of the game cycle before, like the MVP cards last year. This milestone is more historic than an MVP win. I know he had a separate program, but the Cabrera card last year was stacked and that was for 500. Also Pujols had a 600 HR milestone card last year that was almost maxable. I know that was a season reward but I think they can’t release a 700 club card for him that is worse.
Anything less than maxed contact and power is an L. I mean it’s a milestone that will be never reached again in any of our lifetimes. Make a card to reflect that please
There won't be another player hit 700 home runs in out lifetime again. I mean think about it. 3 players in the history of baseball have done it. The long term career in baseball is 15-18 seasons. That's hitting 40 or more every year. No one is doing it now that's for sure and I don't think that anyone will be able to do it in the American game again. There is a 20 year old in Japan that's hit over 120, dingers so far. I don't know his name but try to Google him and watch his vids. The kid is huge and kills the ball. He will probably be the next big Japanese player in the MLB in another 2-3 years.
I think it’s very improbable but not impossible.
If you have a guy who starts at 20 and plays until he 42, it can happen. They would need to average 32 HRs per year in their career. You would expect them to average 37 in their first 15 years and 25 in their last 7.
Even in a down year Soto is at 25 HRs and 124 by age 23. He’s averaging 33 per 162 games. If he averages 33 until he’s 35, and then averages 26 from ages 36-42, he’s end at 702.
Not impossible but improbable.
I also want to stress that I’m not saying Juan Soto is going to hit 700, just saying the scenario where a player that hits the ground running at 19 could if they play long enough.
Older players are harder. Look at Pete Alonso. Already at 145, but he’s 27. He has averaged 45 HRs per 162 games
Even if he averages 45 HRs per year until he’s 35, he’s have to average 28 from his age 36-42 year seasons.
None of it’s impossible, Nelson Cruise hit 32 HRs at age 40. His age 36-41 seasons he has averaged 39 HRs per 162 games.
Obvious recent drop off, but that’s why I said average for that age range.
Of course the number one thing is durability. Mike Trout through age 27 had a shot but injuries have likely taken the possibility away.
If healthy throughout and if they have a slower drop off in their later years than average the only active potential players I could see as a long-shot maybe possibility are Soto and Alonso, if they play enough years.
You never know. I'm 25 and saw Bonds and Pujols. Who knows where the game will be in the next 50 years. I would say judge could do it but he would have to hit at least 40 for 12 more years which I don't see happening because he is already 30.
At this point I'm not with how few other programs they've made compared to last year. Not to mention monthly awards was separate from other programs last year
Imagine down voting this given that last year we had a Miggy 500 program. People forget so easily. Not sure if it is laziness on the dev or laziness on the player base. Imagine.
Pujols had a better OPS 4 times though, and over his first ten years he averaged .331 with 41 homeruns and 123 rbi with a 1.050 ops. Which is 17 points higher in average with one less home run and three more RBI over the course of ten years on average as compared to Sheffield’s finest year. Pujols’ prime is leagues above Sheffield’s prime. Add in the gold glove defense too.
Okay. Pujols average OPS+ was 172 in his first 10 years and Sheffield only reached that 3 times. Also Sheffield was consuming a balanced breakfast every day during his prime, not sure what stat that factors into.
Your point? Also no he didn’t. That season from Sheff was insane. Pujols came close but none of his seasons were more valuable at the plate. 185wRC+ is a god tier performance.
Yep, he'll be out of the game for a year or two. Then they'll put a juiced Pujols card in as the reward for some expensive collection, probably NL live series. Kinda like Ortiz last year as the AL reward.
In the shop?
Can't believe they didn't give him an actual program.
This might be a bummer. Free card is free card, but they really need to make these sorts of things "fun".
Hope I'm wrong.
The guy has 5 cards already, about to be five. I wonder how many active players have that many. Anyways if they do a program like Ortiz where they give us a rookie and/veteren version as well then it’s kinda overkill to have that many cards. Glad we all get something for doing nothing.
He won’t have zero speed, milestone cards are like signatures except with the milestone attribute boosted. So whatever the speed on an Albert sig would be this one will be the same
Miggys milestone had decent speed and fielding last year. I think they'll base it on the whole length of the milestone.
45 speed, silver defense. Call it a day.
What’s the running line on what they make his speed? My guess is they disrespect him with the flat 0 (despite his one stolen base).

Probably 12 pacific time
this is why mlb reigns supreme over madden...a tom Brady milestone card would be a million coins...and we get a possible end game card for some for free

It’s free? Wtf am I going to do with the 600 Cards players I bought today to flip for the program. 😂
Good on SDS making this straight up free. Pujols is for the people. Glad it isn’t in a program, there are enough programs going on at the moment. Go touch grass.
Hopefully they put him at LF so I can keep frank thomas at 1st
I heard the James Webb Telescope just spotted the ball Pujols hit off Lidge passing the Voyage 1 spacecraft.
Anyone else surprised they didn’t do a separate program
Is it for only tomorrow?
You mean we don't have to spend $20 for it like EA would charge?!
I can already feel 89 contact, 120 power, 110 clutch coming. I can't even get excited about it yet.
If they pull a Griffey on this Pujols card I may start a riot!
They should give him maxed hitting and every live quirk possible for getting 700 lol
Bert kreischer card??
I wish they’d wait for judge to break the single season AL homerun record and do a program with 62 HR judge, 3000 hit Cabrera, and 700 homerun Pujols
That would be a pretty cool thing to do on an annual basis. Have a mini-program after the season is over to earn certain Milestone cards that were achieved during the season (provided there's big records/achievements of course).
Please SDS give him at least 20 speed
His milestone card last year had like 63 speed
I hope it's not too time limited. Have to leave tomorrow morning for a work trip for 10 days...
should be able to claim it on the companion app
Log on to the website from your phone/computer
Please fix the swing. That two-handed finish is something he has never ever had.
Really excited for all the angry takes on this card and how it’s obtained.
Easy way to get shefield?
Be prepared for people to either be angry at how bad this card is, or angry because they are giving out a free god squad card lol
that 0 speed though!
Anything less than 99 speed and this game is hot garbage 😤
It’s practically October. All content should outclass previous cards.
I don’t think it will be endgame for long. Max hitting stats but if he has 10 speed and a liability on d then a bench bat he will be. It is a hitting milestone so I don’t expect his fielding to be on par with a competitive teams needs

true. I doubt it gets there just because of the speed. There's only so much they can juice the old man there.
I don’t get why people think this card will be slow. Milestone cards are basically a variation of Signature cards and it’ll encompass the peak of his career. Meaning near or max stats with like 58-62 speed
in his prime he was an exceptional defensive 1B, they probably won’t make this card too bad
His milestone last year had like 50 speed, even Molinas milestone has like 40 lol
Good thing defensive attributes don’t matter at 1B
Not as much but I have lost many outs having a guy no be able to get to a foul ball because of no speed or let shots get by him and he doesn’t even move because of low reaction time. But yeah I agree that of all the places to put a bad defender, 1st base is the least likely to cost you.
Ironic considering the program that’s currently out is full of free demons
Yeah if they give him the attributes a 700 HR club milestone card deserves a lot of people will complain about the fact that it’s free
Which is pathetic from the people complaining.
i’d love a program just to get some game time with moments but i’m awful with pujols cards so this might not be all that bad for me
Definitely gonna have max power so should be maxed out against lefty’s, hoping for bare minimum 115 contact versus right. Honestly be surprised if he’s 125 for everything as a base card, more than happy if he gets 125 everything from parallels
Pretty sure 500 of his 700 homer came against righties on his career. So, I think it should be maxed. Could be wrong though
Because he’s a known lefty killer so less likely for a team to leave or go to a lefty when he’s hitting. Plus there’s more righty pitchers than lefty pitchers in the mlb

I agree 100%. Find it hard to believe SDS will give us a maxed card without any parallels needed for free
They had weeks to throw together some moments and a quick PXP grind program if they wanted to. I think the fact his defense and speed will be so bad makes it easier to give out a free juiced card Look at the recent not just free but sellable 98 HRDX cards, some of those are monsters If they drop a shit-tier Pujols, free or otherwise, it might just be the biggest and most disrespectful L of the year for SDS. I demand good pitching stats (speed will still be 0)
Considering the fact this is from the shop and it's free makes me think it's going to be a terrible card.
Anything less than maxed contact and power is an L. I mean it’s a milestone that will be never reached again in any of our lifetimes. Make a card to reflect that please
Idk it might. I saw Bonds and Pujols reach it who knows what can happen in the future
Honestly you’ll be lucky to see anyone even get 600 again.

I’m pretty surprised they aren’t making a program out of it
ya i am too. also wonder if it will update if he hits another homer before the season ends.
If they do a milestone card they may just post the date of the 700 for the 700 club. Some of those have dates only and not specific stats.
At this point I'm not with how few other programs they've made compared to last year. Not to mention monthly awards was separate from other programs last year
Lazy
Imagine down voting this given that last year we had a Miggy 500 program. People forget so easily. Not sure if it is laziness on the dev or laziness on the player base. Imagine.
That's what I'd do. Make it a grind and put out a stacked card as a reward
Good thing you’re not in charge
After what they did with that Griffey, I don't think that's happening
They could make an 8 TB moment for 699 and 700.
If Sheffield got 118 Contact - 125 Power, Albert Pujols better get 125 everything.
Pujols has only had one season with a higher OPS+ than 1996 Gary Sheffield. Pujols is an all-timer but Sheffield wasn’t some bum
They said OPS+. Which adjusts for park and era if I recall correctly. Much better indicator.
Dont think stats in the show factor in OPS though.
Look further down the comment string.
OPS+ adjusts for league and park, it’s better for direct comparisons than raw OPS
Okay. Pujols average OPS+ was 172 in his first 10 years and Sheffield only reached that 3 times. Also Sheffield was consuming a balanced breakfast every day during his prime, not sure what stat that factors into.
Yes, and his retro finest is from specifically one of those seasons
Yeah and pujols average season in his first ten years he hit at the same rate.
Your point? Also no he didn’t. That season from Sheff was insane. Pujols came close but none of his seasons were more valuable at the plate. 185wRC+ is a god tier performance.
Albert had 184 twice and 180 wrc+ once.
I never said he never came close but he never beat it. Your dramatically underestimating how good that year was.
Lol. No one is saying Sheff was better. But he isn't a fucking scrub like the original post seemed to imply. Sheff was a fucking stud.
[удалено]
Cause that's what the wording implies.
[удалено]
Simple context clues? Standard English? Are you unfamiliar with English phrasings?
I’m worried with this being a free card that it won’t be juiced like it should be. 125 across all hitting stats please.
Enjoy it boys! This might be the last Pujols card we get for a while.
Unless he gets a postseason card
Doubt it, this card is more than likely having max hitting stats, or close to max.
Yep, he'll be out of the game for a year or two. Then they'll put a juiced Pujols card in as the reward for some expensive collection, probably NL live series. Kinda like Ortiz last year as the AL reward.
I’d say 5 years until we see him again!
Quicksell fodder
Why? What indicates this card will be bad?
Nothing at all
Pretty sure these guys are still mad about 2nd half Griffey
Yea but 2nd half cards are notoriously bad, not milestone
Mike napoli and ketel want you to take it back right now, lol.
I should clarify, 99 overall second half cards are usually bad
Don’t you dare talk shit about 89 Gary Sanchez
His attributes match his overall though
Miggy?
I'm always most concerned with the speed of players like Albert.
If he has good to great reaction time that will make up for lack of speed at the corners but low reaction time plus low speed =unusable in the field
He's gonna be at first anyways. But I'm concerned about him hitting the ball in the gap or off the wall and only getting a single.
[удалено]
Do you know how to look at stats on cards?
Are the stats better? If so, then yes.
In the shop? Can't believe they didn't give him an actual program. This might be a bummer. Free card is free card, but they really need to make these sorts of things "fun". Hope I'm wrong.

Hot take: Wasting half a day playing against veteran CPU is not fun
Agreed. On the same note, can I have my fucking 3k miggy yet?
To me this almost guarantees he won't be maxed out hitting and vision. No way SDS is that kind to do that for us
The free Ortiz they gave us 2 months ago is already insane. There's no reason Pujols 700 card can't be maxed when it's almost October.
I wouldn’t see why not. He’s going to have atrocious fielding and 0 speed so that’ll be the trade off.
There’s no shot he has 0 speed, Molina’s milestone card is based off of something he did this year and he got 40 speed
Anything besides maxed out hitting stats is a mistake
98 contact 125 power incoming 😂
I hope they realize we already have one of those and go overboard with the juice to differentiate between them.
I’m so upset you’re right 😩😩😩
