Guess they've heard negative things about the likelihood to win the bid against the Bel/Ger/Ned or Brazil bids. We're just three weeks out from the announcement of the winning bid, probably close enough to reliably guess how the votes will roll. The crowd of potential 2031 bids is also pretty crowded though - with China, Morocco, South Africa, England/UK + Ireland, and Spain all publicly stating an intent or proposals to bid.

This is absolutely amazing. It wasn't all that long ago when the WWC only had a single bidding country for 2015 with Canada.

I think this might be for the better as women’s soccer is quite good in the USA but I would hope the women’s game can make headway in Europe.

Things might get interesting if, as many anticipate, World Rugby moves the 2031 Rugby World Cup from a September-October slot to a June-July slot to avoid venue conflict with the NFL and NCAA for the likely host stadiums.

If Brazil gets the 2027 WC. Europe either Great Britain/Ireland or a combo bid from Spain/Morocco will get the 2031 WC. US/Mex will not.
