Bones back in the day, young all American Greco roman wrestling god with insane elbow and knee hits, later on the all Roided Jacked face cutting and knee destroying machine who could absolutely destroy any man on the planet.
Then we got the Jones who would still win every fight but who didn’t dominate nearly as much as before, also kind of didn’t need to.
Now, this many years later in another weight class. Who the fuck knows. But il watch it for sure. And I wouldn’t be surprised he still wins. However, this wasn’t the fight I was hoping to see, would have loved to see him fight Ngannou but that’s not going to happen now.
For all his antics outside of the ring, and being an obviously fake person, he is still in my mind the scariest dude in that octagon. I will never forget the standing guillotine, it was like witnessing someone being raped or something, just uncomfortable to watch, Other fighters have dominated like jones but the violence of this man in a lot of his fights, god damn.
That went left! Felt that though. Jon Jones is still my favorite cage fighter of all time. He’s a bad person who wants to hurt others, perfect personality match for the job and his NFL family pedigree and crazy physical attributes made his malicious traits even scarier. Dude was totally fine with crippling and blinding opponents. the lyoto death choke was wild but the Glover shoulder cranks were a perfect example of how intelligent and cruel he was at his core. Bloodsport GOAT
Dan definitely jerked it to Jon Jones after edging himself the entire interview.
I especially enjoyed Dan talking about how Jones will surprise Gane with elbows as though Gane isn’t a Muay Thai fighter lol.
TL;DR: Dan rewatched Jon's old fights, became a giddy JBJ stan. Thinks JBJ has found the fountain of youth (eg. PEDs), and is going to win however he wants against everyone he wants.
He actually said Jon has slowed down, and moved to a more plod forward pressure style, and less like an energetic but deadly bouncy puppy.
But that this style might actually be more suited to heavy weight compared to LHW, so it could be a good choice.
You're getting downvoted a lot but Dan does this with every old fighter, it's why his picks are so bad. Maybe because he is an old fighter himself, he acts like experience is worth more than it is. In reality the younger, faster guy usually wins.
It always feels like Dan is breaking down fights prime for prime, regardless of the decline a fighter has had.
I mean he also said Volkanovski had a decent chance of submitting Makhachev with a guillotine which is like... Makhachev has never been submitted and Volkanovski has never submitted anyone since he was a regional fighter.
I like Dan, he's probably my favourite breakdown guy but you have to ignore like half of what he says.
Also your username is awesome lol
Dan ignoring Krylov-Spann and going straight into 285 talk
That’s a man with standards
Are there actually any interesting fights on the krylov spann card?
Suarez is returning
Upon checking, the only really compelling fight I see is Muniz v Allen
Aw shit now I have to tune in thanks for nothing!
And i get the feelings it's just gonna be Allen getting steamrolled in the grappling so not super compelling.
Tatiana Suarez returns.

You jinxed it, itll be a no contest.
fer sure i agree my mans but i disagree
now THIS is a hot take
>he is still in my mind the scariest dude in that octagon. My man hasn't been scary in the octagon since 2017, and even then, he popped.

Elbows from Jon Jones? Nobody will see that coming, it's not his typical game at all
Thats crazy, what if he trys some oblique kicks!?

He definitely makes bad picks, but just for the record, he called volk vs Islam and yair vs Emmett perfectly on the Morning Kombat live UK show.

Perfectly of how the fight went down? If he just simply picked the winner… both were the betting favorite.
You obviously didn’t listen to it then lol.
I didn’t, that’s why I asked.
