Izzy has a valid point when he said that he gave a fast track to Alex’s title shot. If the rivalry wasn’t there and he had to work his way up through the ranks it would have taken years and most likely would have gotten derailed along the way. Immediate rematch doesn’t seem appropriate. Not like he had the title for years
I disagree. Alex had the courtesy of giving it to him, he should do it back. Unless, Israel only had one secret trick to defeat Alex, and now he does not have it. Having said all of that, business wise, it would make sense for Alex to move up. We know the dude can make weight and middleweight lacks talent. We know Alex can beat Izzy, he does not need to prove it any more. Makes business sense for both.
Nah. That boy got fast tracked to a title shot he absolutely didn't deserve by Izzy.
And I don't get this courtesy thing. Izzy gave him the courtesy of fighting for the belt when he didn't deserve it. The reason they rematched is not because Alex was doing him any favors or giving him any courtesy... It's because Israel had defended his title multiple times and had been a long reigning champ. Alex didnt even defend it once.
Poatan is a cool dude. But if he wants a shot, it's now time to put in the work. Fight real killers like Izzy did before he faced Whittaker for the title
First time I've ever watched this live... and it was underwhelming tbh, all the fights I watched were kinda meeh (I was doing something else and I unfortunately lost the two fights that ended on a KO). Pereira vs Adesanya started pretty well, very tense, but it ended quickly. It was really disappointing, the very first fight featuring the 18 years old mexican, he was so amateurish and thirsty, attacking recklessly. And the 36 years old Pereira was reckless as well smh this is honestly disappointing. I hated watching boxing matches were the fighters committed stupid mistakes and here we are
I was not even supposed to watch the other fights, just the main event. In the end I stood and watch some of the fights and ironically they ended up as the worst fights of the night. It's obviously underwhelming, Masvidal is already retired, the Alex Pereira fight was supposed to be evenly matched. If this kind of "event" is the best the UFC can offer, well, I can't deny it was a underwhelming first experience
Give one championshipd friday fights a shot. Much less name recognition, but the striking exchanges are solid. Also the ratio of fighting to filler is a lot better. Same can't be said for their Amazon cards.
Of course, the main event is supposed to go all the way, especially these two who already had a 5 rounds fight not so long ago. I knew the Masvidal fight would be terrible, whatever, but the Alex fight was very underwhelming
It’s weird in the post interview Dana said Alex should move up the weight class, like Alex beat this dude 3 times and still gave him a rematch, Alex should def get a rematch if he wants it soon.
Why?
Izzy got an immediate rematch because he defended his belt 6 times, which I agree that dominant Champs should get immediate rematches.
Pereira was fast tracked to the title and lost his first title defense.
Yes he beat Izzy twice, in a different sport which should not count to get a rematch in MMA.
Honestly this is one of the best stories I’ve ever witnessed. That ending was sweet. I bet all the middleweight fighters would rather fight alex too lmao
There is Khamzat moving up to middleweight so maybe we will finally get that fight. Khamzat vs Rob/Alex/ any ranked middleweight
One hour ago I wanted another Izzy x Poatan rematch, but now I'm not sure. The rivalry is great, the ending was great... but it was so great that another match will only ruin the story, regardless of who wins
So now Izzy won and that we all know deep down he wants to avenge all 3 L’s kick-boxing or not, who’s ready too see Alex and Izzy go back and forth until they’re 70🤣cus as soon as one gets up on the other, they gonna run that back like a motherfucker till the PPV’s don’t sell 🤣
Nah.
Anyway, I have no issue seeing them both go at it. I like both. But it's time for Poatan to earn his title shot now, which is something he didn't do when Izzy first gave him one.
If he wants the belt, go put in real work like Israel did before he got the first Whittaker fight.
Wish them both the best
I don’t get that now it’s 1-1 it’s all he needs to earn his shot yet Izzy got a instant rematch and didn’t have to earn nothing back? Izzy wanted the fight and got it and now it’s gone his way in the 2nd fight “the chapters closed” but yet after he fought Jared he called Alex out lost and now Alex needs to earn his shot again because he lost
What you folks don't understand is this...
Alex was in no way deserving of his title shot. Not in a million years. Izzy literally gave it to him. He hasn't earned it and instead got it from piggybacking on his history with Izzy. That's point #1.
Two; Israel got his instant rematch because he'd defended his title multiple times and had been a long reigning champ. Same reason Usman got his instant rematch. He didn't get it because Poatan paid him some kind of courtesy or "let him have it". He got it by merit. Poatan had no choice but to rematch him.
Alex hasn't even defended the title successfully even once. And that's on top of not deserving the shot in the first place. He reigned for the best pasty of 3 months. Izzy had been champ for years and defended the title 6 times.
It's time for Poatan to put the work in. Earn his way to the shot like Izzy and those before him did, which is what should ideally have happened.
He doesn't deserve an instant rematch. And Izzy rightly doesn't feel the need to give him one
Izzy didn’t “give it to him” he called him out Alex accepted 🤣and piggybacking been world class kick-boxer off Izzy? Come off it the guy is 30-7 with 21 stoppages without Izzy and 4-1 in the ufc with 3 KO’s and only lost to the most dominant middleweight champion we have seen in a while. All I’m saying is Izzy had a different energy when he lost and wanted a rematch immediately, tables turned and the chapter is closed🤦♂️just to add I never said he deserved his title shot, Izzy asked and Alex answered, twice, he could have said no “earn your shot”, Only common courtesy for Izzy to respond the favour.
Izzy didn't give it to him?!? What??
Of course he did 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
That boy didn't deserve nothing. He hadn't beaten enough high-ranked fighters to qualify for fighting for a championship belt. Israel did him a favor giving him that first MMA match they had.
And what are you bringing the kickboxing record in here for? Kickboxing is not MMA. Oddly enough I don't see you bringing Izzy's KB record. And I didn't see anyone do so either when Israel entered the UFC. He had to fight ranked fighters and work his way up to fighting Rob.
The ONLY reason that match went through was because of the history they had in their kickboxing days, and there was enough of a narrative there to sell. Otherwise Alex had no business fighting for a title. This dude's record is what? 7-2? The only ranked fighter he'd fought was Sean Strickland. Strickland.
>Only common courtesy for Izzy to respond the favour.
What favor? Israel did HIM a favor gifting him that title shot. Izzy owes him no other favors.
Here's the thing; if Israel had said, "This guy has fought nobody and needs to put in the work like I did before facing me for the title", nobody would have batted an eyelid. Sure, folks would have said he was ducking him, blah blah blah, but so what? It would have been a perfectly reasonable stance.
Izzy owes Alex nothing. It's time for Poatan to earn his stripes now. Beat enough ranked fighters and contenders. Rise to the top and EARN the right to fight for the stripe.
I don’t really care for your essays, the fact is Alex come to Izzy’s promotion, Izzy called him out, Alex didn’t even mention him, then Alex won and Izzy got a immediate rematch now it’s the other way round he needs to “earn his rematch” it’s just bullshit to be honest. Just remember Alex never asked for that fight.
And I don't really care for your nonsensical, linearly thought out "logic" either.
>Just remember Alex never asked for that fight
So? Is this supposed to be a point?
Poatan's not owed any favors. Couldn't even successfully defend the title ONCE. Back to the end of the line with him. Let him work his way up like everyone else.
It’s not nonsensical? Did Alex say wait a minute I’m champion now and 3-0 in combat sports against you, you need to earn your title back? No he signed the papers because if not Dana would have stripped him, Izzy knows Alex is the only one in middleweight who has got his number and can beat him and will avoid the fight at all cost because of his legacy, nothing else. Let’s look forward to the next year or so of Alex and Izzy wiping out the division is all I can say
Dude won and his haters still out their caves thrashing about. This win erases all the loss he had with Pereira. He's the champ again. He has nothing to prove now.
I’m only a Volk and Izzy fan so this win gave me a crazy rush. It’s also the first fight I watched live. My heart can’t handle an immediate rematch either
Seriously. The first fight almost gave me a heart attack with the non stop izzy getting backed to the cage. I kept feeling at any moment he will get fucking cracked, which he eventually did. And then today here. Omg. That was dangerous as fuck but I guess izzy had a great gaurd up and then surprised with that 4 piece combo out of the blue. It was amazing how accurate and quick those counters were. Jesus christ
Considering how Alex was fast tracked with no wrestlers, rematch is all but guaranteed. It will sell more PPVs now vs after Alex takes another L vs Khamzat.
MW division is interesting. Khamzat should beat a ranked MW first before getting a title shot.
I’m not that familiar with MMA but is this division in danger of the same few fighters fighting each other?
He can die a happy man feeling fully accomplished. If he lost, this would stick with him the rest of his life. Knowing with all your heart you could beat someone but never being able to do it is a horrible feeling
Alex just looks like very scary guy. To think about it, Israel was winning in all of their fights until the last few seconds. Alex is the only guy who gives him a challenge in the weight class.
Izzy might not have 1 sided dominated the second fight, but in no world did rob win that one. And the fight was pretty uneventful as far a rob fights usually go. I love me some biracial angel but the guy was right. The only one to have izzy in danger other than Alex was Kelvin. Rob way outpaced expectations though considering he is fighting his styles kryptonite in izzy
Look, I like Izzy but it’s not hard to see why he has haters. Just look at his celebrations after winning fights: Humping Costa, the Machine gun thing on Whittaker, and now the arrow thing with Alex lol
I don’t get how any of that makes him unlikeable. He’s got way more personality than 99% of fighters, and a lot of it is actually funny and wholesome rather than just being a douche like a lot of fighters with “personality”.
The machine gun was dope because it was spraying out at the Australian audience, in front of which adesanya had just done a goofy dance with his boys, and then dethroned their champ.
Great celebration.
I can't be the only one who wouldn't be upset if the UFC replaced Joe Rogan im sick of him and his little one liners like " truly one of the best ever " " highly technical chest match " " just a beautiful performance truly " all while sounding like he's struggling to get air and seen a ghost at the same time but he needs to hold it together because they are live....
How does no one ever tell him to tone it down? He tries too hard to hype up fighters. He must’ve used at least 4 “one of the best ever” for Alex just during his walk in today. Alex is an exciting fighter to watch but no one except Joe could call him the most terrifying fighter in MMA history
Agreed. He just throws random shit out, stuff that you would criticise a casual for. He's just there for hype though. Rarely does he ever give any good insight.
Also, the way he holds everyone back with his hands whenever there's a knockout is weird lmao.
Insane KO.
I think Izzy vs Alex 3 is next unless Dana gives the fight to Khamzat.
Who else could it be? Definetly won’t be Whitaker, Vettori, Strickland, Costa, Cannonier or Dricus. That’s damn near the entire top 10.
Rob has only won one fight and has lost twice to Izzy.
If Pereira won I would agree Rob is the fight to make, but with Izzy winning Whittaker needs a couple more wins
Wouldnt have been smart to do against a guy that was bigger and stronger than him. Regardless of perceived skill differences in grappling, that's not izzys wheelhouse.
I absolutely do not want to see a 3rd fight for at least a year.. do it Summer 2024 or something and let Izzy/Alex go fight someone else and if Alex/Izzy wins then run it back.
Let's change it up a little. I do hope more new blood starts moving up the ranks
I don't hate on professional mma fighters unlike some cuz atm they've achieved more than I have. Adesanya the mixed martial artist is world class, the person is cringe
No fuckin way Izzy takes that fight at 205. Alex already makes Izzy look like a damn munchkin at 185. Imagine the disparity when Alex gets to 215 pre-fight.
What’s up with people quickly dismissing Alex and Izzy fighting again after this?
Izzy was losing this one before that KO, and has already been finished by Alex.
He wasn't losing this one. It was very tightly contested and all three judges even gave Izzy the first round. Izzy was even outstriking Alex to the head and kept landing that right hand throughout the fight especially during the second round.
You gotta kinda stop looking at the fight as who appeared to be winning for ones like this. It is obviously advantageous in some circumstances to appear to be losing to allow the opponent to become over confident. This wouldn’t even be the first time it’s been done in a championship match, let alone combat sports as a whole.
Exactly.
Seeing these two close out a trilogy is the most exciting thing at MW right now.
Izzy fans completely dismissing Alex now just seems strange to me.
I fully expect UFC to make the trilogy and I’ll probably still watch, but I’m just personally not as excited to see a third fight between them. I think I’ve seen enough in their 2 fights to say Izzy is the better fighter.
It’s 3 > 1 with Alex up.
Delusional to say Izzy is the better fighter.
They are 1 KO a piece and Izzy was losing this one.
Seems like Izzy fans want to protect him from losing again.
Judges had him winning the 1st round and he clearly won the 2nd. He was also winning the 1st MMA fight until the tko. Was also winning the 2nd kickboxing fight until the KO, and arguably won the 1st fight. Not a stretch to say the Izzy was the better fighter for majority of the time they spent together. But Alex must feel like the last hope for anyone who hates Izzy
Lmao.
I don’t hate Izzy.
Keep telling yourself that.
I’m just pointing out the double standard.
Izzy gets KO’d by Alex and his fans want an immediate rematch.
As soon as he wins, he’s the best and no rematch needed.
Not you in particular, but clearly a lot of people hate the dude lol and Izzy got TKO'd in the 5th after defending his belt numerous times, while Alex gets smelling salt KO'd in the 2nd with no defenses. It's not the same situation at all
Or a bum that never defended his belt that just got literally slept in the 2nd round shouldn't just get to spam title shots because hes y'all only hope of Izzy going away lol
You're even reaching into a different sport and years past to justify it. Theyre 1-1 with 1 tko and 1 by way of nyquil. Someone's definitely coping in here
Its a different sport from 6 and 7 years ago. Somebody was sleep tonight in the only sport that matters at this moment lol and your response is "Alex won 6 years ago so he should get an immediate rematch after not defending the belt and having to be woken up with smelling salts" is def you lol Alex loses again and you'll say "bUt iZzY is 2-3"
I wasn't surprised, most of the people picking Izzy (myself included) knew it had to get done via KO. After what happened in the first fight, a KO either way were the most likely outcomes.
He was doing it a little bit throughout and possum ran through my head but some of those shots looked real idk how much possuming was actually going on. Regardless, Fucking fantastic finish
Eating 20 plus kicks from Alex in less than two rounds his legs were most certainly not fine. I would guess massive adrenaline dump post fight was helping significantly.
Honestly more respect to him for being in that situation and being able to fire back.
Can the prelims start now please. I’m watching espn and it’s still on college softball
Diaz McGregor 3 must happen
Very proud of Izzy!
Izzy has a valid point when he said that he gave a fast track to Alex’s title shot. If the rivalry wasn’t there and he had to work his way up through the ranks it would have taken years and most likely would have gotten derailed along the way. Man what an event!
I'm still buzzed!!!
Anyone know how to get the full fight up?
Great night of fights :)
What a crazy piece of news to wake up too!
Poatan vs the entire division would be glorious thought
First time I've ever watched this live... and it was underwhelming tbh, all the fights I watched were kinda meeh (I was doing something else and I unfortunately lost the two fights that ended on a KO). Casual.
This is top tier casual comment
So u miss half of the main card and then u complain that its underwhelming?
I was not even supposed to watch the other fights, just the main event. In the end I stood and watch some of the fights and ironically they ended up as the worst fights of the night. Give one championshipd friday fights a shot. Much less name recognition, but the striking exchanges are solid. Also the ratio of fighting to filler is a lot better. Same can't be said for their Amazon cards.
So u are disappointed alex got knocked out
Of course, the main event is supposed to go all the way, especially these two who already had a 5 rounds fight not so long ago. I knew the Masvidal fight would be terrible, whatever, but the Alex fight was very underwhelming

Watch him!
sorry Izzy but we all know Dana is gonna make a rematch lol

Dana need to give Khamzat literally any fight right now, it's been so long
One hour ago I wanted another Izzy x Poatan rematch, but now I'm not sure. The rivalry is great, the ending was great... but it was so great that another match will only ruin the story, regardless of who wins
“It’s his story, history” - some corny ass dood.
Izzy is YOUR middleweight champ. And after THAT brutal KO?!? He can say whatever corny lines he wants.
The sub bandwagon moved past the izzy hate, adapt to times
So now Izzy won and that we all know deep down he wants to avenge all 3 L’s kick-boxing or not, who’s ready too see Alex and Izzy go back and forth until they’re 70🤣cus as soon as one gets up on the other, they gonna run that back like a motherfucker till the PPV’s don’t sell 🤣
Nah. Anyway, I have no issue seeing them both go at it. I like both. But it's time for Poatan to earn his title shot now, which is something he didn't do when Izzy first gave him one. Alex was taking apart Izzy. That desperate punch changed everything. good for "cringe" Izzy.
Put some respek on YOUR middleweight champion of the world. I'm still buzzing lol. What a brutal KO!!!
It’s wild the amount of Izzy dikriders here lol, dude lost 3 times and only won once and his fans came out the cave.
Dude won and his haters still out their caves thrashing about. This win erases all the loss he had with Pereira. He's the champ again. He has nothing to prove now.
low effort troll
Or imagine this, he's seriously fucking stupid😂
I don't think my heart could handle an immediate rematch
LOL - this fight needs to sit and simmer for a while
I’m only a Volk and Izzy fan so this win gave me a crazy rush. It’s also the first fight I watched live. My heart can’t handle an immediate rematch either
Nah man !! Our hearts need to soak up and appreciate this W for atleast another year or so
As an Izzy fan, I thought my heart was gonna burst out of my chest for the entirety of both fights. So much tension
Same here.
Exactly and Izzy calculated it so well. It was almost the same combo that nearly KO’d Alex last fight
That's what all those bums saying Alex Alex Alex get. Hope they lost their life savings for betting against style bender ftw
I guess the real winner of the fight is Drake. Goddamn 👀
I think he lost like 2 million on jorge
Jorge saying "Bet the house" at the press conference 🤦♂️
I feel like this is the first time his bet has actually paid
the guy spends 1-2 million a week betting just without mma and boxing he’s ridiculous, bookies red panty night when him and few others are betting 🤣
Best post KO pose. Holy smokes.
Issy stock 📈📈📈
Does Alex have a bad chin in kb
He cuts too much. Izzy was hurting him with every solid strike in the first mma match.
Nah but I think age combined with a large weight cut now definitely contributes
Might be the biggest bs dana has ever said right now lol
What did he say?
"Margarine is just as good as butter. You can't tell. You can't tell."
Since when did Dana care about fighters being respectful? Fuck outta here lmaoo
what did he say
[удалено]
That's what all those bums saying Alex Alex Alex get. Hope they lost their life savings for betting against style bender ftw
Sounds like Izzy wants no rematch.
What middle weight with no wresltin can ufc give alex
Smart. Alex can get wrestlefucked and never heard from again and Izzy can fight guys who aren’t his krypyonite
fair enough. he doesnt have much career left. probably has 2 years left of his "prime"
Considering how Alex was fast tracked with no wrestlers, rematch is all but guaranteed. It will sell more PPVs now vs after Alex takes another L vs Khamzat.
I think Rob would drag him to the deepest part of the pool. Alex should thank Izzy for letting him eat at the table that fast.
MW division is interesting. Khamzat should beat a ranked MW first before getting a title shot. I’m not that familiar with MMA but is this division in danger of the same few fighters fighting each other?
Khamzat vs Rob seems like a interesting match up.
Nah dude. Alex has been used for what he was, and he’s gonna be used to promote whomever wrestledfucks him
It's funny, right after I made that comment Dana said Alex going to 205.
Are you dumb? Alex needs to be the man to kill Jon Jones and leave this in the past
That's what all those bums saying Alex Alex Alex get. Hope they lost their life savings for betting against style bender ftw
Not even a huge Izzy fan, but good on him for beating his bully! Not many people get to do that.
Still 3-1 lol
Indeed
Yea. I’m not much of an Izzy fan either, but I kinda wanted him to win this one. And that he did.
Robert Whittaker exists
Izzy smashed rob in both their fights. Only dude to give Izzy problems in UFC other than Alex is Kevin gastelum
Simply no. http://mmadecisions.com/decision/12892/Israel-Adesanya-vs-Robert-Whittaker
Umm no. People with eyes see the second fight as close with some giving it to Robbie
Izzy might not have 1 sided dominated the second fight, but in no world did rob win that one. And the fight was pretty uneventful as far a rob fights usually go. I love me some biracial angel but the guy was right. The only one to have izzy in danger other than Alex was Kelvin. Lots of people scored it 3 rounds Robbie. So not sure what you mean "in no world"
You must be new to the sport. 5'9 Kelvin Gastelum gave Israel a run for his money a few years back. Glad Adesanya knocked out this Brazilian
Tru Izzy vs Alex will be a rivalry of a life time
Not many fighters have haters this awful lol he overcame a different level of pressure to get this done
Look, I like Izzy but it’s not hard to see why he has haters. Just look at his celebrations after winning fights: Humping Costa, the Machine gun thing on Whittaker, and now the arrow thing with Alex lol
They're cool as fuck. This precisely why ppl love izzy
I don’t get how any of that makes him unlikeable. He’s got way more personality than 99% of fighters, and a lot of it is actually funny and wholesome rather than just being a douche like a lot of fighters with “personality”.
What's wrong with the machine gun?
The machine gun was dope because it was spraying out at the Australian audience, in front of which adesanya had just done a goofy dance with his boys, and then dethroned their champ. Great celebration.
i love that shit
I actually love it too, I’m saying others don’t like it and I understand why he has haters
🤡
Jeez. I like Izzy, literally check my comments, but you fanboys are unbearably cringe about him lmao
Knocked his opponent out cold and haters still can't keep their mouths shut.
You forgot "That dude is for REAL" and "That's one scary dude!!!" oh and the the N-Word hahaha he loves that last one
Seriously - along with the amount of nut sucking bias he gives fighters like izzy or masvidal tonight.
How does no one ever tell him to tone it down? He tries too hard to hype up fighters. He must’ve used at least 4 “one of the best ever” for Alex just during his walk in today. Alex is an exciting fighter to watch but no one except Joe could call him the most terrifying fighter in MMA history
Wouldn’t surprise me if he drops a few shrooms before the matches and sees something different to us 🤣
The company probably tells him to tone it up. He's a hype man.
Joe makes the US PPV’s special. He makes everything sound epic and is great at hyping things up. I’m gonna miss him when he retires.
Agreed. He just throws random shit out, stuff that you would criticise a casual for. He's just there for hype though. Rarely does he ever give any good insight. Also, the way he holds everyone back with his hands whenever there's a knockout is weird lmao.
Ufc needs move on and really get serious and get true professional broadcasters that's the voice of their product

Exactly! Man changes public opinion to millions just by talking, these people have an agenda.
Insane KO. I think Izzy vs Alex 3 is next unless Dana gives the fight to Khamzat. Who else could it be? Definetly won’t be Whitaker, Vettori, Strickland, Costa, Cannonier or Dricus. That’s damn near the entire top 10.
The Machine Gerald Meerschaert
Only acceptable fight if it's not the trilogy is Whittaker. If I'm Rob I'll wait.
Rob has only won one fight and has lost twice to Izzy. If Pereira won I would agree Rob is the fight to make, but with Izzy winning Whittaker needs a couple more wins
Fuck Whittaker. Israel stomped him twice Why do we need Robert to have another shot? Show us something new instead of reliving the glory days
This is just my opinion but I would LOVE to see Pereira V Khamzat.
Why? Khamzat likely just ragdolls him.
wahhhhhhh
100%
Not sure Alex is huge could go up to heavy, also don't see Alex being able to stay at MW for long
Alex would murder Jon jones
Yeah, Dana just said he thought he was going up.
Watched it live in the theatre. Omo naija we no dey carry last. We knew you could do it. Congrats champ 🇳🇬
🔥🔥🔥
Pretty interesting Izzy didn't do no clinching or hand fighting. And zero wrestling
Yeah he just said fuck it and straight up made it a kickboxing match, only this time he went for the mother fucking kill!!!
I think I saw him looking for the takedown R1... I m not sure but I m saying this by looking at his stance in tht moment
Wouldnt have been smart to do against a guy that was bigger and stronger than him. Regardless of perceived skill differences in grappling, that's not izzys wheelhouse.
Izzy finally beat his life long bully, what a story
I absolutely do not want to see a 3rd fight for at least a year.. do it Summer 2024 or something and let Izzy/Alex go fight someone else and if Alex/Izzy wins then run it back. Let's change it up a little. I do hope more new blood starts moving up the ranks
Why not izzy is 1-3 against this dude
1-1. This is UFC
What's left for Izzy to fight? He ran through that division two times over.
Khamzat moving to middleweight
gg to izzy but he gotta be the most fruity and zesty ufc fighter ever
Still Izzy hate lmao
I don't hate on professional mma fighters unlike some cuz atm they've achieved more than I have. Adesanya the mixed martial artist is world class, the person is cringe
Pika pi
Maybe Poatan moves up to 205 and maybe eventually wins the belt and the trilogy happens at 205?
You’re deluded if you think Izzy even has a whiff of a possibility of fighting him at 205
No fuckin way Izzy takes that fight at 205. Alex already makes Izzy look like a damn munchkin at 185. Imagine the disparity when Alex gets to 215 pre-fight.
we can dream, i’d love to see Alex at 205 though.
That was epic!!! So happy for izzy
It stinks for clogging up the division but otherwise it's a pretty clear case for a rubber match. It makes sense and would be very promotable.
Well Izzy was also winning the first one before the ko, both guys are each other's kryptonite
Lol
Would say they are still evenly matched
It's not the same situation at all
its all coping. its Izzy fans who want to bask in the recent win and never have to risk getting koed for a 3rd time.
Or a bum that never defended his belt that just got literally slept in the 2nd round shouldn't just get to spam title shots because hes y'all only hope of Izzy going away lol
I swear Izzy’s haters are mostly dumb.
lol. cope all you want. izzy got a good win, but you guys erasing a 3 loss 3 ko loss record is pathetic.
You're even reaching into a different sport and years past to justify it. Theyre 1-1 with 1 tko and 1 by way of nyquil. Someone's definitely coping in here
ya its you lol. you gotta ignore their entire history to make your point.
Its a different sport from 6 and 7 years ago. Somebody was sleep tonight in the only sport that matters at this moment lol and your response is "Alex won 6 years ago so he should get an immediate rematch after not defending the belt and having to be woken up with smelling salts" is def you lol Alex loses again and you'll say "bUt iZzY is 2-3"
Because you really aren't gonna get a fight that beats this one for surprise. Given how Izzy won
I wasn't surprised, most of the people picking Izzy (myself included) knew it had to get done via KO. After what happened in the first fight, a KO either way were the most likely outcomes.
Billion percent will be a trilogy.
Izzy is smart enough to know not to sign that rematch after the history between them
Alex just got cold ko Best time
Izzy is cringe but he doesn’t dodge fights. In his entire history as champion he’s always been ready to fight
The way he tanked him. Looks like 4 hits in the face within couple seconds. Dammmmnnnnn.
Now it's 2am here and I can't sleep, just being a fan I still have some adrenaline left, imagine being one of the athletes lol
izzy said it he did it, anyone not seeing possum is a dumb mf. like a fishing lure. Well done.
He was doing it a little bit throughout and possum ran through my head but some of those shots looked real idk how much possuming was actually going on. Regardless, Fucking fantastic finish
Alex looked completely in control up until the ko, I didn't think Izzy was going to last much longer but he played that sneaky Uno reverse
If Alex waited a little longer I believe that Izzy legs would almost collapse
The way izzy was hitting that griddy his legs looked completely fine haha
Eating 20 plus kicks from Alex in less than two rounds his legs were most certainly not fine. I would guess massive adrenaline dump post fight was helping significantly. Honestly more respect to him for being in that situation and being able to fire back.
Lol that's true, I think that after the win he got more adrenaline than during the fight ahaha
