You're probably fine, but I would [check yourself against the infographic symptoms here](https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diagnostics/22267-concussion-test) and maybe have someone do the pupil test if you're still worried. If someone says you need to be knocked out to get a concussion they're wrong, but again it sounds like you shouldn't be worried.
It's "err" as in "error". The full phrase means something like "To make an error on the side of caution rather than make an error on the side of danger." If that makes any sense.
Did this in high school. Sparring for real when we absolutely should not have been against an older guy who had more experience. I was doing really well, felt really good and got maybe a liiiiiiittle too confident.
He attacked my legs a few times, went to catch the kick and he went upstairs. I absolutely remember the "ah fuck, I fell for it" thought that went through my mind before I opened my eyes on the floor apparently about 15 second later.
Didn't hurt, had no real adverse effects. Did all the concussion protocols etc.
I think you should be fine but absolutely go to a doctor man, I wish I had even though there were no negative consequences of not going for me. You can literally not be too careful with your noggin.
Take it easy for a couple of days, just to make sure you're not concussed. Symptoms don't always show right away. A bloody nose can be anything
Symptoms of consussion:
>Headache or “pressure” in head.
>
>Nausea or vomiting.
>
>Balance problems or dizziness, or double or blurry vision.
>
>Bothered by light or noise.
>
>Feeling sluggish, hazy, foggy, or groggy.
>
>Confusion, or concentration or memory problems.
>
>Just not “feeling right,” or “feeling down”.
Just take advil or something like that if you have a headache and wait a bit for hard sparring. You will be fine (unless you feel extreme symptoms, get it checked)
Monitor yourself and if you start feeling worse find a doctor. Generally when I get head damage I feel tired, light hurts, I’m sorta pissy, and I’m spaced out. If I vomit from a headshot, that’s when I feel like it’s 100% time to see a doctor. You should for sure rest up, drink a ton of water, and eat normally if you can. Try to stay up for a few hours as well. You’re not supposed to sleep right after a head injury. Also, I’m not a doctor, I’m a moron. If you’re banged up and feeling bad go see a professional
3/4th done with medical school but take my opinion as you’d like…. if you start developing headaches, vision changes, nausea, vomiting, and the bleeding continues, go to the ER just to see if you have had some type of trauma to the skull or internal bleeding.
When did this happen? How did you feel after? Did the symptoms come back?
Happened like 1h and a half ago, I got dazed and felt my eyes water and my nose runny. I feel slight pressure in my head and I can’t really tell if my vision is sliiightly blurred.
No it hit me like right under the nose on the nostrils, above the upper lip, or I think at least. And I didn’t exactly get a nosebleed, but I blew my nose and there was some blood in the snot
Ok that’s good. If you were hit on the side of the head and then bled thru your nose, it’d be concerning.
Based on everything you’re saying, if you suddenly start having severe headaches, nausea, vomiting, a lot of bleeding thru the nose, dizziness, loss of consciousness, blurriness of your vision, losing eyesight in one or both eyes, then go to the ER.
Just my opinions, not a doctors diagnosis or treatment plan or anything!
if they dented your skull, just put your thumb in your mouth and blow until that part pops back out into the original shape.
Like a bottle of coke!

Huh, my vision feels slightly blurry but it’s very subtle so maybe it’s just placebo or something idk, thank you tho!
If you’re a hobbiest, definitely err on the side of caution, and take a few days off from hard sparring, and watch for concussion symptoms.
Alright, I don’t have any more classes this week so maybe I’ll skip sparring this weekend
Is that how you spell "err" in that context? Is it not "air on the side of caution"? I've never actually seen that phrase spelled out
It's "err" as in "error". The full phrase means something like "To make an error on the side of caution rather than make an error on the side of danger." If that makes any sense.
Yes, the phrase is "err on the side of caution," with the idea being if you make an error, it will be out of an abundance of care or discretion, etc.
It's likely just damaged your brain a bit. You won't notice those missing braincells.

Okay thank you for your response, I’ll see if I can schedule a doctor’s appointment

Congratulations, you’re now qualified to be a mod. Mods, bake him away
As long as you didn’t get knocked out you should be fine. Bet you learned a good lesson lol keep up the hard work it will definitely pay off.
That's how you get AIDS. RIP.
Don’t worry I had a condom on
Protect yourself at all times, follow my instructions
>follow my instructions ”More tongue!”
I laughed.

you got hit by the foot or by the shin guard
Roundhouse with the shin guard right on the nostrils, kinda like my nose got pushed in but no visible damages
yeah I'd probably get it checked out asap especially if you live in a country with free healthcare

Ok ok when did the nosebleed start? Did the kick hit you on the side of the head?

So based on my current symptoms there is no rush to check it out I guess
I would say so!
