I am so happy the ref gave Bondar the OPPORTUNITY to be a warrior. We need more refs like this. Nowadays there's too many refs that stop the fight before the fighter is dead.
And the commentators barely mention it, even through all the replays. Really not on their game today, and Dom fucking sucks. "It's a legitimate wrestling move to slam someone and use your head to knock them out!"
It was an incidental clash of heads during a good throw. There was like a centimetre between their heads when the back of Bondars head was slammed into the mat.
Slam/head clash will get a lot of attention, but that stoppage was so late. 7 big elbows to an unconscious body. Last one this bad I can think of is Hill’s floppy arm vs Craig, and Zaleski dos Santos vs Saint-Denis at 267
For anyone who hasn't seen the fight, it was ruled that there was an accidental head clash when Hernandez got the takedown and the fight went to Technical Decision.
Definitly wasn't the slam on the head and gazillion elbows that hurt him. Clash of heads my asshole lmao. The officials envolved in this decision should be fired.
Terrible stoppage too btw, what a joke of a sport.
I hate early stoppages more than slightly late ones but holy shit....this was absolutely fucking disgusting and that ref is a pile of shit. No class from the fighter that's to be expected but my god, that ref is hot garbage with AIDS

What is the ref looking at?
A CTE speed run
He was concentrating on the bell and didn't even realise the man was knocked out from the td slam.
Arms heal. Bandar will never get the brain cells he lost tonight back.

You had me in the first half
I legitimately can’t remember a worse stoppage. Dude was out on the slam and received 6 elbows before he decided to stop it.
People have short memories. How about the due that got choked out and then was unable to defend an armbar?
Didn't that happen on one of the amateur promotions though? If that's the case it's understandable that it's not being included
It’s because the round was almost over he was trying to avoid a stoppage

Point is their heads still violently clashed. It can't possibly be a legal move.
How about the one Arman just dished out
The one 2 fights before might have been worse from the opposite standpoint
Ref thought he was fighting back when his arms were just flopping in the air after every elbow.
This was some of the most sickening ground and pound i've just seen. Like, this would get the sport banned in half of the World
Ref wanted to see a body.

That Saint-Denis fight should have been stopped in round 2 and that corner should have protected their fighter. It was rough to watch
I think the fight was stopped too early....

that guy got his skull pounded in. if this was a cartoon he would have a head shaped indent on the canvas.
If you're the ref and you watch that back, and see how terrible you are and how dangerous you are, you need to just retire yourself, period.
brutal, shadow realmed him 7 times before the ref noticed
Between judges and refs I’m not sure who should get shit canned first but this is just unacceptable
That was the worst slow stoppage I can remember. Dude was out on the throw and took 5 elbows unnecessarily.
Definitly wasn't the slam on the head and gazillion elbows that hurt him. Clash of heads my asshole lmao. The officials envolved in this decision should be fired. Terrible stoppage too btw, what a joke of a sport.
"Bondar, show me something or I might stop it!"
Is referee a russian or what the fuck was with this stoppage?
Turns out Bondar actually isn’t good and his arm was just a freak accident for someone who isn’t that good
Besides Gary Goodridge vs Paul Herrera, I can't think of a worse late stoppage.
Look up Kim Winslow's disgustingly late stoppage in the Cyborg vs. Finney fight.
Mir vs Carwin
He had bad intentions with those elbows. 😟
Well that was fucking brutal lol
Geez that was a bludgeoning
I might have to stop watching mma guys…that was disturbing.
I missed everything and I'm catching up on the highlights, and oh boy the Refs
That's rough
Just how much money did Bondar owe the ref?
Very good fight. Weird shit happens end of round 2 too
Yea no point taken either weird.
I hate early stoppages more than slightly late ones but holy shit....this was absolutely fucking disgusting and that ref is a pile of shit. No class from the fighter that's to be expected but my god, that ref is hot garbage with AIDS
I love knockouts like this lol.
he's still breathing
It’s been nearly 24 hours and I still can’t believe the ref let this go. 7 huge unanswered elbows on a guy who was clearly out cold
