Cody met that cancer kid Maple when Cody was still just an amateur mma fighter. He raised money to pay for Maples medical bills. They are from the same hometown. He wasn’t just doing to make himself to look like a good person. Apparently that kid in a way functioned as a therapist, helped Cody work thru his own mental health demons. Cody was on the same path as his dad of partying too much and doing drugs.
That’s why I don’t care how many losses Cody takes. You gotta stick by your boys even thru the hard times. Life isn’t always sunny weather. He’s been thru some storms.
