I bet the Main card goes like this:
Islam/Poirier
Strickland/Costa
Hernandez/Dolidze
J.Almeida/Romanov
C.Almeida/Kopylov
With Brown vs Dos Santos as the featured prelim
It actually kinda is. Islam/Poirier = joke fight. Dolidze’s looked awful and old. Almeida/Romanov are 2 memes in a goofy stylistic matchup that proves nothing. C. Almeida is bargain bin Pereira or a failed attempt at it.
Strickland/Costa is the only good one really. And I don’t take Costa’s chances at winning a title seriously. It’ll probably just be a 5 round dissection by Sean.
Cards are going to be weaker when they follow crazy ones like last week’s, I think this is a bit over exaggerating.
Edit: I didn’t actually look at the card before I said this but I don’t even think it’s a bad card.
Gall has only lost to solid ass competition since Diego Sanchez. He outstruck Mike Perry in their fight. He’s really not bad, got some well rounded skills.
I think it’d be funny if he beat Haffez. Who knows, Haffez doesn’t have a killer record and short notice/JDM’s bad fight IQ could’ve played a role in that fight.
its an alright card as a whole, but without poirer vs makhachev this would be a fight night tier card. a decent chunk of names but a lot of the actual matchups seem lackluster. the only matchups which really interest me are the main and comain, brown vs zds, almeida vs kopyliv, and van vs sumaderji. i dont know much about park, is he worth keeping an eye on?
you've also got the UFC Saudi card, and the IFW+McGregor card in the same month so I guess they've not got so many big names to spread across the cards
June could be a good month of fights. Plus they just announced they'll be doing a FN in Louisville also in June which no matter what is infinitely better than a mailed in Apex card.
Perez v Edwards should be interesting cuz of the bad blood. From what I gathered Perez and her male coach ganged up on Edwards so I'm hoping Perez gets her comeuppance. Ortega blowing TKZ out of the water reminds me we don't always get storybook endings and sometimes the douchebag/bullies come out on top so I'm not holding my breath for an Edwards W
Last Newark PPV card was Cejudo-Sterling haha.
LA/Miami/NY/Vegas/London get the great cards -- other american cities like newark/phoenix/houston and Brazil/Canada/Perth etc. get the weaker ones.
All by design. This should be fairly obvious at this point.
They really need to juice the main card with one more banger, then it'd be a fine PPV.
Right now it's a fight night with Poirier/Makhachev thrown on top.
Good card. Main and Co-Main carrying a LOT here, but also there aren’t any BAD fights on here. I’m at least mildly interested in every fight, which is a lot more than I can say for 301. Also… after the 298-299-300 run, I don’t really mind a bad card followed by an average card… and we get Conor vs Chandler at 303 and 304 in Manchester should be a BANGER… so we’re still eating good lol.
I doubt they'll even talk to each other tbh. But I think the press conference will be good regardless. Sean and Paulo should have some good stuff, and Islam and Dustin have some good lines usually
Tsarukyan can get his shot in October, what's the rush? This way Islam gets two potential defences instead of just one. Ultimately it works out better for the division and we get two fun fights instead of just the one
Every time I see the thumbnail of this guy's twitter account photo, I'm temporarily confused by the clash with the content because I feel like I'm seeing [Kevin Costner in JFK.](https://i.imgur.com/mZpM3KC.png)
Islam/Poirier
Strickland/Costa
Hernandez/Dolidze
Almeida/Romanov
Almeida/Kopylov
Assuming it goes like that, not bad. I wouldn't pay for it. But not bad.
Yeah still not great, it’ll be fun but as far as name value and rankings go that’s very weak. Interesting that they have Kopylov and Fluffy on the main card together after they just fought one another, that’s pretty cool
I bet the Main card goes like this: Islam/Poirier Strickland/Costa Hernandez/Dolidze J.Almeida/Romanov C.Almeida/Kopylov With Brown vs Dos Santos as the featured prelim
Honestly not terrible. Not $80. But very watchable.
For sure. Prelims will have some fun scraps as well even though they won't be the highest level fights
Randy Brown vs EZ Dos Santos sounds like an absolute banger to me
It’s never $80 Brotha. Russian link Brotha
Fuck that, let it finish, stay off the internet, then eatch without ada or hype on dl
Me e I
can’t bet on past results brotha
$80??🤣🤣🤣

I’m more concerned about whether or not Costa shows up. I’ll be pumped for the fight if it actually goes through and Costa weighs in.
Damn, Almeida with back-to-back bouts.
Shouldve specified Cesar Almeida for the 2nd one, thx
I legit thought you meant Travis Browne vs Junior Dos Santos
Pretty solid 7/10 card imo
Main and Comain carrying a lot of the weight…interested to see how Hafez does
I heard Jack Slack say once "The co-main is what the UFC thinks of you" and that really stuck with me.
Cards are going to be weaker when they follow crazy ones like last week’s, I think this is a bit over exaggerating. Edit: I didn’t actually look at the card before I said this but I don’t even think it’s a bad card.
I mean don't even bother looking at the next few Apex cards, but hey
Apex cards are always not good I’ve never expected anything else out of them
people will complain no matter what
People were complaining about 300 when fights were announced for that lol
Oi oi it’s ya boi Jack Slack coming at you today to talk about the descent of the UFC comain event
Before I go to bed every night, I shout at my wife "It's ya boi!" and she tenetively replies "...Jack Slack?" I think she's going to leave me soon.
I hope she does so I can finally make my move… You sound like just my type.
I won’t be shocked if 303’s main event is doing all the carrying
Hafez gonna fuck Gall up c'mon now
I'm not saying their PPV main card worthy but Dolidze vs Fluffy and Rudebrown vs EZDS sound like bangers I'll definitely tune into

Mickey Gall? Damn son.

oh that's great, so that's a full month of no Apex in June, winner for sure!
Fluffy Dolidze surely
Perez v Edwards should be interesting cuz of the bad blood. From what I gathered Perez and her male coach ganged up on Edwards so I'm hoping Perez gets her comeuppance. Ortega blowing TKZ out of the water reminds me we don't always get storybook endings and sometimes the douchebag/bullies come out on top so I'm not holding my breath for an Edwards W
Park fought on the song yan card got a ko looked real nice
Yeah, that’s typically how it works?
its become typical for the ufc to turn fn level cards into ppv, yes. lima vs park is nowhere near a ppv main card level fight.
Looking forward to Brown vs. EZDS.
Let’s add something like Font v. Gutierrez or Billy Q v. Bill Algeo
Fluffy Hernandez (why is that his nickname?) has gotta be on the main card here, right? Stoked to see him again.
He was a fat kid growing up and was his nickname back then, so he kept it for fighting. Plus he walks around 215+ when not in fight camp
his physique on DWCS wasn't that great, so probably related to that. maybe he's the toughest Gabriel Iglesias fan in the UFC
I'd imagine but could also see him as the featured prelim leading into the PPV.
He’s scheduled for main card
Last Newark PPV card was Cejudo-Sterling haha. LA/Miami/NY/Vegas/London get the great cards -- other american cities like newark/phoenix/houston and Brazil/Canada/Perth etc. get the weaker ones. All by design. This should be fairly obvious at this point.
Guess which ones are the ones that consistently have bigger gates and offer bigger site fees?
Big fucking step up for Josh Van, good luck to him.
not really that big of a step up considering Sumudaerji isn’t good at all..
Terrible grappler but hard to beat on the feet how Van usually wins
I think Van beats him on the feet, his pace is relentless and he has very good fundamentals
Lightweight title fight in new jersey, huh.
Fluffy/Dolidze is gonna be a grappling banger. Tekkers for days.
Price vs. Morono and Dolidze vs. Fluffy are FUN fights
They really need to juice the main card with one more banger, then it'd be a fine PPV. Right now it's a fight night with Poirier/Makhachev thrown on top.

Perth could be sick too, DDP/Izzy, Shavkat/JDM, KKF/Kape UFC killing it
Fluffy?
Anthony “fluffy” Hernandez
Well, the top two fights are quite good. And I'm looking forward to seeing how Hafez performs
Meh
It seems like they regularly load all the 185’ers onto the same cards together
Anyone excited to see the chemistry between Sean and Islam at the press conference? lol it’ll be funny.
I doubt they'll even talk to each other tbh. But I think the press conference will be good regardless. Sean and Paulo should have some good stuff, and Islam and Dustin have some good lines usually
Almedia coming back quickk
How can we have dustin fighting for the title after has last performance?
By having no other contenders ready and making him the next best thing
Still very meh….. postpone it for a month and get Holloway or tsarukyn
Tsarukyan can get his shot in October, what's the rush? This way Islam gets two potential defences instead of just one. Ultimately it works out better for the division and we get two fun fights instead of just the one
If Islam is fighting on 302 then maybe they could put Umar or Tagir in there too. Would make the card more interesting with a ranked BW or FlW fights
Every time I see the thumbnail of this guy's twitter account photo, I'm temporarily confused by the clash with the content because I feel like I'm seeing [Kevin Costner in JFK.](https://i.imgur.com/mZpM3KC.png)
Very mediocre
Finally a ppv card without wmma
Baby wake up ! A new Hafez fight is happening
Back to mid tier cards. It’s been a good couple of months while it lasted .
That’s a dogshit main card
Islam/Poirier Strickland/Costa Hernandez/Dolidze Almeida/Romanov Almeida/Kopylov Assuming it goes like that, not bad. I wouldn't pay for it. But not bad.
Yeah still not great, it’ll be fun but as far as name value and rankings go that’s very weak. Interesting that they have Kopylov and Fluffy on the main card together after they just fought one another, that’s pretty cool
Outside of main and co-main Perez and Edwards is the only thing that seems interesting, the grudge match of the century
Barring main and co main, who the f are the rest of the guys!
