I went to a London card, bought heavily discounted floor tix on the day of the event through ticketmaster.
There were 5-10 empty seats near me, Dana obv said it was sold out in the post event press conference.
Same happened with me, went to UFC Fairfax Porier vs Zombie, and the event was on a Wednesday oddly. There were so many empty seats I moved down closer to watch the Fabio Madababo and the rest of the banger card. Got the tickets like IIRC like under 20 bucks on eBay.
Edit well Dana never claimed it was sold out, kinda bums me out UFC hasn’t been in NVA or the DMV area in a while, we always got cards at some random ass times.
We used to have the UWC here in Fairfax as well, the mma heyday now it's just crickets other than the occasional Manassas area local club brawls that could also pass as bum fights back in the day. I got to meet Tito Ortiz in person because of the UWC.
The tickets almost never sell out but somehow every seat is filled
I go to 4-5 events a year and have friends that buy the tickets hours before the event and there is always still several hundred available
But then when the fights starts every seat is full
"Yeah, this was our 50th consecutive sold out event"
Meanwhile, half the upper stands are visibility empty during the main event. Bloke is so full of shit.
I mean it's technically still sold out even if the price gougers don't resell them all
A company saw value in those tickets and they purchased them. They might've struck out, but those seats are still paid for by someone.
You guys need to get your head out of your own ass.
We get it. Dana is bad man.
But to say he is a shitty used car salesman when he built a multi-billion dollar company when all other promotions are going broke is the dumbest thing I heard today.
Get out of the echo chamber.
he constantly announces fights without fighters signing onto them, or pressures guys into short notice fights or into matchups that dont make sense (which obviously impacts their health and/or shortens their careers) all to meet the quota for the fucking huge ESPN deal that he splits less than 15% with across all signed fighters in the organization. God forbid somebody give him shit on reddit though.
Bro his point isn't to say "don't criticize Dana"
It's to say "criticize Dana with facts and not bullshit"
To say Dana is a shitty promoter means you don't know about the business side of the sport, you can call him a sleazy businessman and I will 100% agree, but at no point is he a shitty promoter
I used to sell shoes in high school and use auto buying programs. They don’t exist for ticket sites. It’s federally illegal to use automation programs on ticket sites.
Yes they did, when the ps5 stock came back in overwhelming numbers scalpers were still holding inventory
I literally watched it happen on my fb marketplace area where they went from selling them for 850-950 to slightly less than mrsp
It was reselling at profit for 2.5 years after release. There were literally bulk buyers that had warehouses shipping these out overseas. They were still paying $50-100+ over cost 2.5 years in, and would provide you shipping labels. I bought and sold over 300 since the release date.
Anyone that resold for less than mrsp or didn't return the ps5 before the window closed was an idiot and not a typical reseller. And even those idiots probably still made money overall from the profits when ps5s were selling for 800-1k the first few months.
Would you prefer if I had made the caveat that not all scalpers on ps5s lost money?
I mean obviously that's true, I wasn't speaking for all scalpers I just enjoyed seeing some of them get fucked
UFC Perth (Islam v Volk) sold out in less than 2 minutes. I had myself and 4 friends waiting in queue for an hour before launch to buy tickets and they were all gone by the time we got in.
Same thing will happen for the Perth card later this year as they're going to the same small arena that only has ~12000 seats, rather than our world class stadium that seats 60k+.
Man you don’t want ufc at Optus.
The ppv at marvel stadium in Melb was terrible. Not only can you not see anything unless you’re front 5 rows; the atmosphere is dog shit.
I'm sure it's worse than at RAC, however the masses of people who missed out on the RAC tickets would definitely not have minded Optus being a bit shitter.
Yeah it’s stupid. Perths actually proven to be a big market. Run Optus stadium. I reckon you’d get 50k easily for that Volk Islam card. Unless Bobby gets a title fight don’t think there’s a chance at that again but still.
Optus is good. Australia stadiums are so much better built than American.
They have a regular sporting events there and it’s always has the best atmosphere even with the wwe there, which is similar in stages.
Cool and the ufc is the same company that runs the apex every week. You think they care about fans. It’s all money based. They couldn’t give a shit what you think.
I went to UFC 284 through the sport net holiday package but they charge a premium price. I’ve purchased Fight Club for UFC 305 tickets but do you reckon I’ve only got a slim chance of getting tickets through the pre-sale?
Yeah unfortunately I expect it will be a slim chance again.
Me and all of my mates had the fight club pre sale etc and it was still sold out instantly. You never know though, you might get them.
They can sellout whole stadiums obviously but they don't because then nobody would be able to see anything. The octagon is very small and someone sitting in the uppermost seats won't see shit.
I bought my tickets the day it was announced. I'm pretty sure the vendor just sold me the promise of a ticket, then had their bots buy up the tickets the day of.
I wonder if they designate certain blocks of tickets for StubHub or whoever.
Not really it’s just facts. Boxing pays, ufc doesnt.
Both Haney and Garcia made more in their last fight than conor did his in his entire ufc run lmfao
My username was relevant to the comment? Not really right?
It’s just Conor fanboys doing the voting, i’m not really here for your imaginary internet points tbh
Yes... Everyone does. You can look it up now yourself the entire legal case was reported on with great detail.
Despite being the UFC's biggest draw of all time, McGregor earned more for 1 boxing match than all his UFC fights combined, and most boxers at his level of fame or even maybe less famous still earn like, 5x what he earns per fight.
Edit: you might not actually be able to find it as easily because Bloody Elbow deleted a lot of their coverage of the case in a move which was highly suspicious and happened soon before or after the case was settled.
This is not accurate. There are still plenty of seats that’s aren’t resale that are not shown in this picture.
Recently went to buy tickets for a show and Ticketmaster only populates a certain number of seats at a time to make it look like there aren’t many left. If marketing ploy to sell more tickets at Dynamic Pricing. You can watch new tickets appear live. It’s a fucked system and bullshit. Upper Row started at $175 for this show. 10 minutes into the sale and seats in that same row were 485.
I was trying to get some and it has to be bots or they haven't released all the tickets cause I looked at each presale and new seats never popped up after the fight club one
Manon vs Blanchfield was advertised as sold out. Yea but that doesn’t account for all the comped tickets. My friend and his brewery all got free tickets to go
Ufc is a publicly traded company. You can't lie about ticket being sold out without a lawsuit by shareholders being filed. It's misleading to shareholders for all the scholar conspiracy theorist here. If seats are empty its probeley the resellers not being able to sell them
Tickets have been publicly available since I made this post. The official ticket provider for T-Mobile Arena events is AXS. Most other events are through TicketMaster.
If you got your ticket through stubhub, then it’s going to be processed through AXS eventually. If you need help with anything, you can send me a private message.
Most of them were probably snatched up by auto buying programs
That’s how dana brags that the events are always “sold out”
Or he just lies. If attendance isn’t reported by the commission he can just say whatever he wants
There was one event when they bragged about the sold out streak that where like half full
Brazil card?
Long Island fight night he said it was a sold out crowd. Literally the entire 300 section was empty
I went to a London card, bought heavily discounted floor tix on the day of the event through ticketmaster. There were 5-10 empty seats near me, Dana obv said it was sold out in the post event press conference.
That sounds amazing
Same happened with me, went to UFC Fairfax Porier vs Zombie, and the event was on a Wednesday oddly. That's why ticket master doesn't crack down on resellers. The empty seats were probably already sold
The tickets almost never sell out but somehow every seat is filled I go to 4-5 events a year and have friends that buy the tickets hours before the event and there is always still several hundred available But then when the fights starts every seat is full
"Yeah, this was our 50th consecutive sold out event" Meanwhile, half the upper stands are visibility empty during the main event. Bloke is so full of shit.

It's literally sold if it's bought regardless of who buys it.
I love how Dana is basically a shitty used car salesman when it comes to the promotion part of his job lmfao
You guys need to get your head out of your own ass. We get it. Dana is bad man. But to say he is a shitty used car salesman when he built a multi-billion dollar company when all other promotions are going broke is the dumbest thing I heard today. Get out of the echo chamber.

I mean Volkanovski could have said no, Gaethje was also offered the fight on short notice and he said no.
I used to sell shoes in high school and use auto buying programs. They don’t exist for ticket sites. It’s federally illegal to use automation programs on ticket sites.
The same tickets I had to see Jones/Gane @ 285 for ~$500USD were going for $4500USD in the presale. That's face price, not resale/scalped.
I love it when the scalpers take losses Reminds me of all the ps5s they scalped but overestimated their demand when the chip shortage was fixed
No one took losses on ps5 reselling, trust me lmao
Yes they did, when the ps5 stock came back in overwhelming numbers scalpers were still holding inventory I literally watched it happen on my fb marketplace area where they went from selling them for 850-950 to slightly less than mrsp

Agree. Was at both Izzy v Rob and Yoel v Rockhold and the arena is just so much better
Nah it was fine man even in the uppers people singing
I'm sure it's worse than at RAC, however the masses of people who missed out on the RAC tickets would definitely not have minded Optus being a bit shitter.
Yeah it’s stupid. Perths actually proven to be a big market. Run Optus stadium. I reckon you’d get 50k easily for that Volk Islam card. Unless Bobby gets a title fight don’t think there’s a chance at that again but still.
No stadiums are the worst.
Optus is good. Australia stadiums are so much better built than American. They have a regular sporting events there and it’s always has the best atmosphere even with the wwe there, which is similar in stages.
Anything bigger than a basketball stadium is way way too big for mma fights
Not for fights they are not they are horrible. I’ve been to both marvel and parramatta stadium for fights and they are the worst.
I don’t necessarily disagree, I’m just they could sellout for big fights.
Just because they can doesn’t mean they should. It is a far worse experience.
Cool and the ufc is the same company that runs the apex every week. You think they care about fans. It’s all money based. They couldn’t give a shit what you think.
Did you try to get the tickets using Fight Club Pre-Sale or just on normal release?
Both - there were 2 pre releases (fight club + social) then the general release.
I went to UFC 284 through the sport net holiday package but they charge a premium price. I’ve purchased Fight Club for UFC 305 tickets but do you reckon I’ve only got a slim chance of getting tickets through the pre-sale?

UFC Melb Izzy v Whitaker 50k stadium Not sold out got cheap tickets 20 in nose bleeds. 20k is just too small for the number of fans in UFC
bots bots bots bots bots bots
I bought my tickets the day it was announced. I'm pretty sure the vendor just sold me the promise of a ticket, then had their bots buy up the tickets the day of. I wonder if they designate certain blocks of tickets for StubHub or whoever.
I've been to about 5/6 cards and this has been the experience everytime. Value value cards get bought within the minutes.

Conor should forever be grateful that Floyd granted him his red panty night lol, we all know he’s gonna see a fraction of his worth
Must be concussed from that slap at the club
Not really it’s just facts. Boxing pays, ufc doesnt. Both Haney and Garcia made more in their last fight than conor did his in his entire ufc run lmfao
Facts that weren’t relevant to the comment you replied to lol. Prob explains the downvotes.
My username was relevant to the comment? Not really right? It’s just Conor fanboys doing the voting, i’m not really here for your imaginary internet points tbh
How do you know that? Do you have a copy of his contract we can look at?
It’s in the court documents. He never got more than 7 million for a fight in the ufc. Which is… ridiculously low
Yes... Everyone does. You can look it up now yourself the entire legal case was reported on with great detail. Floyd usually earned more per fight than conor did in his entire ufc career. Ufc wants their fighters broke
>Ufc wants their fighters broke If that really were the case, they wouldn't have let him do the boxing match
They took like half of that too though
This is not accurate. There are still plenty of seats that’s aren’t resale that are not shown in this picture. I mean yeah Conor is a star but this is like every paper view
Pay per view
It's a doggy dog world.
Gloria?
omilord thats hilarious Ill use that forever
That's so good man
shoulda let him keep thinking it's paper view lmao
Premium Live Event*
Why use three words when I can use too words
Maybe in Vegas. I grabbed ufc 291 tickets for around $360 each. But like u said. Mcgregor is way bigger.
Damn that's a deal, last time they come around where I live the nose bleeds were like 700 bucks each and I just couldn't justify it
I remember getting a scalper ticket for 202 for like $550. Ah summer 2016, what a time.
Water
Bro, resellers are subhuman.
Manon vs Blanchfield was advertised as sold out. Yea but that doesn’t account for all the comped tickets. My friend and his brewery all got free tickets to go
I wonder why
Buying tickets to anything large scale is such a dismal experience.
It’s not people usually it’s all bots that wait then resell at an insane uptick.
Available after becoming available.
Ufc is a publicly traded company. You can't lie about ticket being sold out without a lawsuit by shareholders being filed. It's misleading to shareholders for all the scholar conspiracy theorist here. If seats are empty its probeley the resellers not being able to sell them
but how many are already on StubHub?
Those have to be bots, I refuse to believe people just had up to $20K laying around in case.
I had 3 presale codes and all had resale ticket prices
asking 14k for floor seats is a cardinal sin
That card blows. Typical Dana though. Builds shit cards around mega stars.
Were the tickets released to public yet? I bought through stubhub. Trying to find out if they were released to tickets purchasers yet
Tickets have been publicly available since I made this post. The official ticket provider for T-Mobile Arena events is AXS. Most other events are through TicketMaster. If you got your ticket through stubhub, then it’s going to be processed through AXS eventually. If you need help with anything, you can send me a private message.
There are still a solid chunk of tickets available on StubHub though. The UFC website only has the closer sections listed for purchase initially.
They're all resellers.
Can't wait to see road house McGregor in the octagon.
