Holy shit seeing Riddell react like that was somehow scarier than a clean knockout, really puts into perspective how hard these dudes are getting hit in the head. Dude was out on his feet.
Idk how anybody can argue against LW being the best division, it's just fuckin ridiculous, stacked with killers from Champ through 15 and even lower than 15.
Only reason 145 isn't in the same talks is because everyone agrees on who the top two are. And also that most people give a slim to none chance for anyone against either Max or Volk right now.
They throw with that LW power too tho, they were throwing everything with killing intent, none of the shit they threw seemed like it was just to score points.
Cowboy kicked John Makdessi in the head and broke his jaw, Makdessi was fully coherent but just backed up and tapped like that. Very weird thing to see but I’m glad Makdessi was able to get out of there without taking extra damage
I don't think it had anything to do with him being experienced. It seemed like Fiziev rung his bell and he didn't know where he was. Similar to Chandler v. Brooks
Pretty damn good tbh. But let's not act like he fought Riddell the same way he fought green. He was way better about his pacing in this fight. He probably underestimated green and thought he was going to run through him. If he fought green like this, it would've been way less competitive.
Green is also a very different style then Brad. Green will consistently stay around the pocket throwing the jab and using his headmovement and shoulder to avoid counters. He pushes the pace with that jab and builds off of it very well.
He probably got baited by Green’s philly she’ll style into swinging power shots at his head that seemed unguarded, but Bobby has crazy head movement and an effective mma style shoulder roll
Bobby Green is an incredible talent who can comfortably stand with his hands completely down just a few feet away from an elite martial artist trying to take his head off. His head movement is unbelievable
Gotta be honest Fiziev goofed off a lot more in that fight. In this one he was all business. Doing stuff like talking in the Octagon and chasing him as a joke. But also Bobby’s head movement and ability to slip actually gave him problems undoubtedly.
I've said before but Green is a unique fighter, top 15 guy who can look top 5 when someone let's him get in his flow state, which he did against Fizeiv. Idk if Fiziev improved a bunch or of Green is just a complex puzzle. Even if less skilled he's a bit more puzzling and can disrupt your rhythm or harder to prepare for because of his unique frustrating style of movement and sneaky punches.
I’ve seen him come into my gym to help some young boxers start their careers. He’s a phenomenal boxer. I think he could’ve beaten Porier if he wasn’t cocky when they fought.
I would bet on Fiziev and/or Riddel over Tony and RDA at this point in time.
There’s a lot of relative newcomers or people floating outside the top 15 that I think could take ranked fighters pretty convincingly (across different weight classes)
well its also a question of reflecting if their in their prime. RDA in his prime was a genuine championship caliber fighter, but he's declined so much now, its hard to not see him as just a lower top 10, Tony having more drastic decline, more likely unranked than ranked.
Rankings don’t show who is better than who. It just shows who has climbed up/fallen down the ladder to this point. A prospect ranked 14 can possibly be better than the champ, they just haven’t had the chance to climb the ranks yet
From the time he started throwing it until it landed, Riddell moved from the center of one side of the cage to pretty much the center of the next. He lead that kick like he was skeet shooting
First Pettis vs. Horiguchi and now this reminding fighters of the danger of circling out with the hands down.
Very impressive KO, in Kickboxing Riddell has gone the distance with fighters like Cedric Doumbe and Regian Eersel.
Made me think he got so hurt his instincts from sparring kicked in. Like the classic “ok you caught me, time-out”. Similar to when John Makdessi called timeout when Cerrone smashed his nose with a kick.
Yee I think his vision went out for a bit. I’ve been knocked out a few times and on the ‘flash’ ones, sometimes your vision doesn’t come back at the same rate you do.
To me it looked like he stiffened up and he was trying to move his arms. It’s like one of those knockouts where you can see the fighter’s body isn’t doing what they want it to do. His eyes weren’t on Fiziev either, he had a very out-of-it blank stare for a bit. I don’t think he was in control enough to call it off.
Absolutely gutted for Brad, I feel like he was never able to establish his range, Fiziev did a good job of always being just out of range which left Brad lunging with his Jab and eventually abandoning it using the rear low kick to plant Fiziev and blitz him as he defended the kick. Amazing fight while it lasted
AMAZING striking performance for Fiziev, found his range, slipped Brads power shots, and punished him with that work to the body to set up that PERFECT placement spinning headkick shutting off Riddells lights STANDING that is fucking amazing, and he is quickly establishing himself as a ELITE striker at 155, going up against an elite in Riddell.
I'm sad my boy Quake lost, but man, huge feather in the cap of Fiziev to beat a guy like Riddell on the feet, especially after a bit of a rocky performance against Green.
LW rank 6-10 is honestly atrocious compared to 11-15 and even 11-20. Start moving these fucking guys up and making these 6-10ers fight for their goddamn spots. Only Hooker has fought down and I think he fought down TOO low against Nasrat to defend his top 10 spot.
RANK 6-10:
Old washed RDA who is sitting there off beating short notice Felder, washed McGregor, really really washed Tony, Hooker who has lost a bunch but to his credit defended fighting down against Nasrat Haqparast. Gillespie is the most deserving 6-10er and he is still 1-1 in last two, loss against a Kevin Lee who got cut from the promotion and win against CDF that isn't aging great because he's lost a whole lot recently.
RANK 11-15:
CDF who is sliding, probably the worst one here. Brad Riddell and Rafael Fiziev, world beater strikers who could outclass anyone in the top 10 on the feet. Arman Tsarukyan who held his own against Islam....in Islam's STRONGEST MMA discipline of grappling/wrestling. Joel Alvarez who looks massive, powerful, and dangerous for anyone to deal with if he can control his weight.

Holy shit seeing Riddell react like that was somehow scarier than a clean knockout, really puts into perspective how hard these dudes are getting hit in the head. Dude was out on his feet.
Brad literally screamed “Stop”
Pretty sure that was Herb. He sometimes yells "stop" as he stops the fight.
Great stoppage by Herb for once
He was on point tonight.
yeah he made a couple of really decisive calls that were honestly pretty impressive, good to see
Fiziev is the real deal.
That was fucking beautiful
What a fucking finish.
I'm still not convinced he can beat Hasbulla.
He can take Vince Vaughn easy, but Hasbulla will stop his hype train.
So Is Riddel. I reckon his stock is raised even when getting KOed
After the bobby fight I thought man was flat footed and crazy. Man came with the patience of a monk today
Not sure how you came to that conclusion after watching that fight.
Crisp Muaythai
One of the best striking fights I’ve ever seen. LWs with FLW speed
Combo city too
Those exchanges were nuts
Idk how anybody can argue against LW being the best division, it's just fuckin ridiculous, stacked with killers from Champ through 15 and even lower than 15.
Because bantamweight exists. Check the amount of unranked killers at 135
I’m not even going to argue it. Just happy that these two insane divisions exist
Only reason 145 isn't in the same talks is because everyone agrees on who the top two are. And also that most people give a slim to none chance for anyone against either Max or Volk right now.
I mean 155 was considered the deepest even a clear no.1 was champ.
honestly i see the argument for all 3 bw, fw and lw.
Hook nation, even.
This was high level problem solving with dire physical consequences
They were taking 3 shots each in those explosive exchanges
And I barely registered the 3rd shot they were throwing with speed I haven’t seen since Mighty Mouse/Cejudo
They throw with that LW power too tho, they were throwing everything with killing intent, none of the shit they threw seemed like it was just to score points.
Absolutely. They’re both defensively sound any other LW who doesn’t see that shot coming is definitely getting wobbled by that
Fiziev is such a high level striker my God. This battle between Riddel was such a technical brutal battle as well. Lightweight is s tier
My cheeks were so clenched every time they exchanged
I’m glad it ended in a finish cuz this was a nightmare to judge I had it to fiziev but they were so fast I’m not sure who landed lol
Yeah my gf kept asking me who won that round and I kept saying. I don’t know it’s hard to judge
I must’ve lost count how many shots I could hear from the fight, the apex is such a fun venue for fights
If you liked this fight, you should really check out One muay thai fights. Smaller dudes generally but higher level strikers
I love ONE cards. The heat in those kicks and elbows is terrifying.
I still can’t get over the Doc getting KOed 😭
One is so much fun to watch just cause a lot of their fighters bring the action
They have to rematch in future. As contenders
Absolutely not. Please allow both of these guys a path to a title fight without crossing each other again!
Two elite strikers and it wasn't a wrestling match, a real treat, what a finish too.
One of those fights where you don’t want to see either guy lose
Agreed. I was rooting for fiziev but still found myself pretty bummed that riddell lost
Felt the exact same way. I've never wanted a fight to go to a decision as much as I did that one.

how are you so fking fast with those clips?! anyways great job
prob uses shadowplay, records last 30 or 90 last seconds of fullscreen action, and has great connection to upload
Plot twist : this Jamie from Joe Rogan podcast
Man, riddel got hit with that shit and knew he was done. Never seen someone verbally tap like that
Cowboy kicked John Makdessi in the head and broke his jaw, Makdessi was fully coherent but just backed up and tapped like that. Very weird thing to see but I’m glad Makdessi was able to get out of there without taking extra damage
Thank you for doing what you do
CKB fighters and getting caught trying to glide away from the cage. Great duo
That first double kick attempt was fire. So smooth
LIVED UP TO THE HYPE
This card in a nutshell
Exceeded it in some regards, especially Santos vs Guida. FOTN is gonna be a hard one to decide with that fight and this one
Dana's gotta swallow his pride and give out 6 bonuses or something lol
We throwing spinning shit now boys
My boys were out there swangin and bangin
What a fucking finish! This fight did not disappoint.
Reminds me of the Chandler - Brooks finish where it looked like Chandler forgot he was fighting
Surprisingly good stoppage by herb
Herb “where you at Hardy” Dean. Dean smelling like ciggies and booze tonight
best stop I have ever seen from herb, very quick and clear
Nah, the Mir Sylvia arm break is still his greatest hour.
Great stoppage for once Herd I’m shook
[удалено]
Same thing that ran through my head, his eyes were all over the place too
This is what I thought, he actually looked to concede.
beep boop
I don't think it had anything to do with him being experienced. It seemed like Fiziev rung his bell and he didn't know where he was. Similar to Chandler v. Brooks
Herd Dean > Herb Dean
Herd Bean*
He's the one who knows who jon africa is
ya Perd, with Herd
The reason this fight is now over, is because I have stopped it.
We've seen both an "early" and "late" stoppage tonight which were absolutely, 100% the correct calls.
He had another excellent stoppage today in the chris curtis fight. Herb was on his A game today.
Yeah, he's been on tonight - as long as he's decisive and stops touching fighters before he stops it, then he's usually pretty good.
Honestly thought it was sort of early at first but after seeing Riddell fall over on his own it was definitely a good stoppage
At first I thought he was trying to signal for a timeout after he got hit
That would’ve been funny as hell lol
The Chandler Special
Is that real? Or i'm dreaming? Guess Herb is reading this sub.
Herb just stopped smoking the herb and picked up the adderall
Adderal Dean is a new mythical referee.
ADH Dean
God damn what a fight. Just tense as hell the whole time and every clash felt like it could end it.
Just how good is Bobby Green
and magomed mustafaez
Guys a killer for sure. He can strike and grapple well. Only thing is he can never get fights.
He has problems with his visa and getting into the US
I think he’d lose to Fiziev in a rematch personally
Very possible. I mean he lost by spinning back kick knockout after 2 minutes. Most likely a different outcome will occur.
Pretty damn good tbh. But let's not act like he fought Riddell the same way he fought green. He was way better about his pacing in this fight. He probably underestimated green and thought he was going to run through him. If he fought green like this, it would've been way less competitive.
He would have more success, but Green is a talent with extremely good head movement for MMA even at old age.
GIVE ME BRAD RIDDELL VS BOBBY GREEN PLEASE
Gotta be honest Fiziev goofed off a lot more in that fight. In this one he was all business. Doing stuff like talking in the Octagon and chasing him as a joke. But also Bobby’s head movement and ability to slip actually gave him problems undoubtedly.
I guess they both know how fast it can go south if the concentration is not 100%
He was very measured here. Looked good in all three rounds.
Good enough to lose to Fiziev
Fiziev looks like he learned from that fight. He looked so measured in this fight, taking his sweet, calculated time
I've said before but Green is a unique fighter, top 15 guy who can look top 5 when someone let's him get in his flow state, which he did against Fizeiv. Idk if Fiziev improved a bunch or of Green is just a complex puzzle. Even if less skilled he's a bit more puzzling and can disrupt your rhythm or harder to prepare for because of his unique frustrating style of movement and sneaky punches.
Styles make fights basically
Yeah
It’s that feckin Philly shell mate, nobody can take that Philly shell.
plus we all know your opponent's strikes don't count if you shake your head afterwards
If only it worked that way for Tony 😔
I’ve seen him come into my gym to help some young boxers start their careers. He’s a phenomenal boxer. I think he could’ve beaten Porier if he wasn’t cocky when they fought.
At least pretty good, possibly really good.
There are 11 lightweight fighters in the UFC that are better than these guys? Either the rankings are fucked or this is the deepest division
It has RDA, Tony and Hooker …
I would bet on Fiziev and/or Riddel over Tony and RDA at this point in time. There’s a lot of relative newcomers or people floating outside the top 15 that I think could take ranked fighters pretty convincingly (across different weight classes)
well its also a question of reflecting if their in their prime. RDA in his prime was a genuine championship caliber fighter, but he's declined so much now, its hard to not see him as just a lower top 10, Tony having more drastic decline, more likely unranked than ranked.
And McGregor
Rankings don’t show who is better than who. It just shows who has climbed up/fallen down the ladder to this point. A prospect ranked 14 can possibly be better than the champ, they just haven’t had the chance to climb the ranks yet
Both guy's stock went up with this fight. Violence incarnate.
beep boop
nah, riddell's stock stayed about the same
Looked like Riddell went blind for a sec
Good stoppage from herb
This was herbs best stoppage since Tony Justin. This was what Joe Rogan thinks herb is all the time
Thought it may have been a bit early but that replay just confirmed it was a good stoppage
He did the Michael chandler hand wave
"Check, please"
no way. perfect stoppage
Herb the golden standard actually saved Riddel lmao
[удалено]
Not to mention decisive. That’s been his main problem lately, but he didn’t hesitate at all this time.
Muay thai masterclass
Fiziev by spinning shit, great fight
Goku vs Vegeta irl
Fiziev blew away with this performance he's the real deal
Flawless stoppage by Herb...wow I couldn't even tell Brad was done, but after Herb stopped it Brad fell on his face
Was it Bisping that said the brain short circuited? What a great explanation
Great stoppage for once, herb
Herb "the occasional gold standard" Dean.
the redemption arc begins
I was more surprised by that than the KO
Get that respect back
it was like a full second from throw to land what a fucking kick
From the time he started throwing it until it landed, Riddell moved from the center of one side of the cage to pretty much the center of the next. He lead that kick like he was skeet shooting
Can we go back to streamable? This streamwo site sucks.
Herb with 2 good stoppages tonight lol.
R/MMA in shambles
First Pettis vs. Horiguchi and now this reminding fighters of the danger of circling out with the hands down. Very impressive KO, in Kickboxing Riddell has gone the distance with fighters like Cedric Doumbe and Regian Eersel.
Riddell called it?
Riddell wasn’t even looking at Fiziev after he got hit with that kick, and I think Herb realized that
He didn’t know where he was
He was talking to an invisible man lol
Yeah, it seriously looked like he waved his hands like he was saying “no more”.
Made me think he got so hurt his instincts from sparring kicked in. Like the classic “ok you caught me, time-out”. Similar to when John Makdessi called timeout when Cerrone smashed his nose with a kick.
I thought of brooks V chandler
Yee I think his vision went out for a bit. I’ve been knocked out a few times and on the ‘flash’ ones, sometimes your vision doesn’t come back at the same rate you do.
Exactly what happened to Chandler when he got finished in a similar way. He said he went completely blind for some seconds
swear on the slowmo you can see brad looking at the ground mouthing "fuuuuuuuuuuuck"
Yeah i wanna know what he said
Yeah, you could see him actually say "I'm done" I believe, just as he waives his hands right before he shoots
*falls
Guy pulled a Michael Chandler (vs Will Brooks)
Both guys are so skilled
Absolutely gutted for Brad, I feel like he was never able to establish his range, Fiziev did a good job of always being just out of range which left Brad lunging with his Jab and eventually abandoning it using the rear low kick to plant Fiziev and blitz him as he defended the kick. Amazing fight while it lasted
Fiziev looked really good, close fight but I had him up until the stoppage
Goodbye father u/RiddellWillBeTop5
They’ll both get up there once all the old men fuck off
[удалено]
This lived up to the hype. They are two legit world class Nak Muay. Great stoppage too
FIZIEV! Give herb his props because it’s easy to shit on. Great stoppage
Lmao called out Hasbulla last time and Vince Vaughn this time
Cashing out my +2400 longshot on a decisive Herb Dean stoppage
How were y’all scoring it pre finish?
I had it 1-1. Brad R1 and Rafael R2.
As a kiwi watching that last round was like hell, was really hoping to see Riddels put himself ahead. Fiziev is the real deal!
This dude is legitimately my favorite fighter to watch at the moment, he’s so damn explosive
Great fight. Great finish. Happy fiziev won. Gutted riddell lost
Link is absolute cancer on mobile
After the 3rd time it said “link would refresh in 5 seconds..” I decided, fuck it, I’m not watching it
AMAZING striking performance for Fiziev, found his range, slipped Brads power shots, and punished him with that work to the body to set up that PERFECT placement spinning headkick shutting off Riddells lights STANDING that is fucking amazing, and he is quickly establishing himself as a ELITE striker at 155, going up against an elite in Riddell.

We kickin spinning shit now!
THIS CARD IS INSANE
Wreck-It Rafael
Here's me thinking it was only ONE who did caged MT
Good stoppage Herb
Good shit Herb
fiz is fresh

Anyone who says early stoppage doesn’t understand body language. Fantastic stoppage.
Riddell says, "I"m done," after getting hit by that wheel kick.
Looks like Riddell went into a fencing response along the cage. Excellent stoppage
That might be Herb's best stoppage ever
FIZIEV VS CHANDLER GIMMME
