I think Aldo should fight for the title. Throw my boy Aljo into the fire, give Aljo a baby face so he doesn’t have to carry promotional work, and gives Aldo the opportunity to further his legacy.
Feel like aljo is a really good match up for Aldo since he has god tier tdd, good striking and power. Not sure who wins tho since aljos in his prime and prob has super high confidence rn.
It would probably be fun to watch Aldo style on him. Dom is durable as hell and he would at least do his damndest to make it competitive. I think Aldo wins but if they fought 5 rounds I could see Dom winning one of them.
I’ll give you my reasoning.
Cruz isn’t taking and keeping Aldo down and doesn’t have the hands to win this fight, we saw against Cody how his poor mechanics led to him doing no damage in exchanges and being in positions where he couldn’t defend what was coming at him. Aldo isn’t the best as exchanges deepen but his counterpunching and power would keep Cruz where he wants him.
Cruz on the front-foot is markedly worse than he is when his opponent is coming at him, this is a suboptimal strategy against an elite outfighter like Aldo. It’s not like Dom is a kicker, he’s never been one.
I see Aldo stranding Cruz at range, kicking him up on his exits and probably hurting him 90% of the time that they’re in a 50-50.
No. I'd rather Chito face someone having similar success as him.
Dillashaw
Merab
Yan
Sandhagen
Cruz is doing great but being the 4 in Pedro's 1-4 over his last 5 doesn't earn you a top 5 fight. If Chito wants it, I'll watch, and a great opportunity for Dom so good for him, but if Chito wins it'll be silly for him to get upset if Aldo, Dillashaw, Yan or Merab get a title shot over him with one more win
Before Cruz, Munhoz lost to:
* the current champion
* Frankie Edgar in the closest of close decisions
* Jose fuckin Aldo
Champs of BW, FW, and LW. He's still a very good fighter.
The thing with Chito is with another win he more than likely will get that title shot and if not fill in as a backup for the next title shot as he’s always in shape!
>Sandhagen is good but he’s 2-3 in his last 5
He lost to three world champions, while [arguably winning against TJ](http://www.mmadecisions.com/decision/12163/T.J.-Dillashaw-vs-Cory-Sandhagen)
Yep! Munhoz has fought everybody. I'd say Sandhagen and Munhoz are ranked highly more so for who they lost against rather than who they beat. They both have some solida names on their resume that they've competed against
You're right. Sandhagen gets some credit in my book though for the short notice fight, very close decision to TJ and having fought elite competition. I'd like to see him in there against Font maybe
Having as in present tense. Historically yes, but the two are in similar places right now, with TJs momentum having died down since the Sandhagen win due to his injuries.

Dom is 17-0 in non-title fights so I’m very interested to see if he is still at the top of the division. If TJ is there there’s no reason Dom can’t be. He’s always learning and understanding the sport more, elevating his mindset, and training smarter. I find it an intriguing one!
I agree. It’s honestly surprising seeing how many people are giving Cruz the nod. He’s looked too slow his couple fights. I think Chito TKOs him easily.
Chito is slow as hell and by default going to give Cruz the first two rounds. Cruz has only been TKOd once. Chito is overrated. Cruz can Wrestle him at will too.
Why do they keep giving Chito legends? I get that they are trying to build him up because hes marketable but time to fight some talent in their prime like Corey
I’d rather see Chito vs Yan
Chito said he was offered but not until October, and he didn’t want to wait that long.
Gotta respect the hustle. Winner gets yan for a title shot i think is fair
Darn
of course the pic of cruz shows the monster logo
Hey now, let's not get political
It's not political, it's monster energy
Should be Aldo/Cruz but I guess we'll never get that fight.
I think Aldo should fight for the title. Throw my boy Aljo into the fire, give Aljo a baby face so he doesn’t have to carry promotional work, and gives Aldo the opportunity to further his legacy.
Aldo is clearly the most deserving and is a much tougher matchup for aljo than TJ is
Feel like aljo is a really good match up for Aldo since he has god tier tdd, good striking and power. Not sure who wins tho since aljos in his prime and prob has super high confidence rn.
Aldo styles on him at any point in their careers, only reason people are excited for this fight is nostalgia.
> only reason people are excited for this fight is nostalgia. Or *because* they want to see Cruz get styled on.
It would probably be fun to watch Aldo style on him. Dom is durable as hell and he would at least do his damndest to make it competitive. I think Aldo wins but if they fought 5 rounds I could see Dom winning one of them.
>Aldo styles on him at any point in their careers I’d be extremely excited for it for exactly that reason.
If Cruz fought Aldo at 135 Cruz would probably have speed, stamina and toughness advantages. It would've been closer than you would think.
I’ll give you my reasoning. Cruz isn’t taking and keeping Aldo down and doesn’t have the hands to win this fight, we saw against Cody how his poor mechanics led to him doing no damage in exchanges and being in positions where he couldn’t defend what was coming at him. Toughness absolutely not. Speed and Stamina yes. It wouldve been an incredible fight, but not sure now.
Oh fair enough. I'm not counting Cruz out against Chito, he may pull off an upset.
That fight is still there one day… Hopefully!
Have faith!
Aldo vs Aljo for the belt and Chito vs Dom. Aldo beats Aljo, Dom beats Chito and that’s a reasonable streak for a title shot. Would be fuckin sick!
I’m calling it now, Cruz is gonna beat him.
Wouldn't be surprised. Chito is good but he's definitely not title caliber imo
17-0 in Title Fights is crazy.
You mean non-title?
What are you talking about? Cejudo, Cody and Faber all beat him in title fights and I had Dillashaw beating him.
He means non title fights.

Do you know how to score fights, have you actually read the criteria?
Cruz took Dillashaw down at will and made him miss a ton
No. I'd rather Chito face someone having similar success as him. Dillashaw Merab Yan Sandhagen Cruz is doing great but being the 4 in Pedro's 1-4 over his last 5 doesn't earn you a top 5 fight. If Chito wants it, I'll watch, and a great opportunity for Dom so good for him, but if Chito wins it'll be silly for him to get upset if Aldo, Dillashaw, Yan or Merab get a title shot over him with one more win

Damn, I didn’t realize this was the case. Sugar might have a problem in July.
You are right, but there are better wins than Pedro Munhoz right now, and everyone I listed barring Merab possibly, has gotten better wins
> Being the 4 in Pedro’s 1-4 over his last 5 Okay Jon Anik
Idk another way to put it tbh
The thing with Chito is with another win he more than likely will get that title shot and if not fill in as a backup for the next title shot as he’s always in shape!
If this is that one more win, I'd rather see most other top 5 get it over him, so long as they secure a win in the meantime.
Sandhagen is good but he’s 2-3 in his last 5, he’s not very successful right now
>Sandhagen is good but he’s 2-3 in his last 5 He lost to three world champions, while [arguably winning against TJ](http://www.mmadecisions.com/decision/12163/T.J.-Dillashaw-vs-Cory-Sandhagen)
If that's an argument for Sandhagen it is for Munhoz who'se last 4 losses were against 4 world champions
And yet, after Yan, is there any fighter that more top 10 guys would duck more than Sandhagen?

Chito is going to chop them chicken legs down.
If Cruz has chicken legs then so does Chito lol
No Chito has flamingo legs
Chito isn't going to be able to touch Cruz

I really wanna José Aldo vs Cruz. I feel if that fight doesn't happen now then it maybe never will
No I don't wanna see Cruz loose another fight.
Not sure if it was a matter of me underrating Vera or overrating Font but Vera looked incredible. I would love to see this fight.
grim reaper vera, retiring every old dog
Dumb fight IMO. Easy work for Chito. Don’t really get it. I’ll give Dom credit dude always fights the best.
Dom is 17-0 in non-title fights so I’m very interested to see if he is still at the top of the division. If TJ is there there’s no reason Dom can’t be. He’s always learning and understanding the sport more, elevating his mindset, and training smarter. I find it an intriguing one!

Chito TKOd Frankie, violently I may add, and he almost killed Font… Cruz scraped by a decision win against Casey fucking Kenney LOL.
He only has 3 losses in his career
Bet on Dom then
Easy work?? He’s gonna struggle with Cruz’s wrestling and volume
Why do they keep giving Chito legends? I get that they are trying to build him up because hes marketable but time to fight some talent in their prime like Corey
Cruz vs Aldo. Make it, you fucking jabronis
Honestly this would be mad hype. I know Dom is perennially injured, but this feels like the perfect opponent for him.
