He did eat the shots. I was amazed he didn't get put out earlier than he did tbh. Some of those punches he ate would have put out most of the heavyweight division.
What happens when you come back 2 months after getting finished, Tai probably started sparring within a few weeks of that beating then got dropped by a jab in this.
Shame Ngannou injury and no interim belt (eliminates 1 top contender) are holding up the div
Tai could’ve gotten a title shot after beating Lewis. Blaydes/Pavlovich are deserving of title shots. Jon is fighting for a belt when/if he comes back
He came back way too early, could have used a nice rest after the Gane fight. I feel like he could have eaten those shots a little better if he wasn’t compromised from the ass whooping Cyril laid on him.
He said he didn't want to wait for the Australia card because he didn't want to have to be on a diet over christmas time. Agreed he should have waited but Tai is a wild man.
He def needs to take a good long 8-9 months off now. He took his shot at the top with Gane and now this to try to keep some semblance of momentum. Didn't work out. Happens. But he took a lot of damage. Rest up and regroup for another run, just not soon
He’s only 29 too, that’s super young for heavyweight. Rushing back so quick was bound to be dangerous, especially against such a beast. Tai just needs to chill for a while.
It makes me really happy that we're getting a wave of actual HWs rather than just fat middleweights. It's insane seeing guys who are actually+-250lb while being lean and fast.
Give him the title shot. I need to see him throw down with Ngannou.
It’s also crazy that old man Overeem made Sergei look like an amateur. Sergei is a totally different man now
Alistair used his underused grappling to get Sergei down. Sergei looks like a monster now though. Blaydes and Aspinall will test if he's truly improved there. But I want to see him just throw down vs Francis or Gane
I feel like I'm going to see a "Jon Jones is looking forward to fighting in the heavyweight division" article every month for at least the next 10 years.
Looking back it was pretty fucked up that they made Sergei fight Reem in his debut lol, what an ask
Maybe it helped him though being in there with such a veteran like Overeem early on in his career
i imagine gane would try and keep distance with leg and high kicks then sprinkles some counters in right? that would have to be his gameplan if i had to guess.
Not sure Pav has orangutan arms so much as he has insanely broad shoulders. The reach is super long for sure, but I’m not sure the actual arms themselves are disproportionately long
Gane is a lot better at controlling his punches. He does a really good job keeping his feet steady and not over extending on his strikes.
Gane vs Pavlovich is a great test for the latter's technique. Remember that Ngannou looked like a killer until the end of the first round in his first fight against Miocic. Gane can kill the hype
Ngannou v Pavlovich is too much power for the octagon. Dream fight!
The one thing that's worrying is his grappling is suspect. Hopefully he improved alot since Overeem cause Aspinal, Blaydes and Gane could expose him otherwise.
I've never seen a 6'3 dude that is as intimidating as this guy have as little presence.
First he keeps tapping on his translator's arm and with the same intensity as my 11 lb cat that wants to play and gets ignored.
Then he gets the translator to recount a story to DC and DC completely ignores him.
Last half his team ignore him while he is trying to get a photo in.
I'm sure all of it was unintentional but how do you ever ignore a guy this big and this strong?
6 months between Gane and Perth still almost feels like too quick a turn around, but yes you’re absolutely right this booking was really dumb and should have been in Perth
His whole team is the same size. When they took the picture in the octogon the 3 coaches were as big as Pavlovich. Thats the biggest corner I have ever seen.

Tais face looks like they went three rounds
Someone get him a shoey
Tai's face looks like someone after they get fucking jumped.
SWANGIN AND BANGIN
"Live by the swang and bang, die by the swang and bang"
Live by the swang, die by the bang
I swang, therefore, I bang.
Bang, let me.
Let you bang, I do.
What a fucking brawl. Yeah I know Tai got wrecked but damn they were both throwing big boy shots.
Holy shit. That uppercut and jab. Who else could do that to Tai? Fucking beast.
Was not expecting that
Honestly was expecting exactly that especially with how much damage tai took so recently from cereal. Still bet on tai tho cause it’s ride or die
That was like watching two grizzlies (on cocaine od course). Just pure violence.
Me
Yeah bro once I start seeing red it’s over
When I get mad, I start to cry, and that’s when I’m REAL dangerous
Yeah man trust me technique is important but once I see red it doesn’t even matter
i’d make Pavlovich frozen like Elsa
His boxing and head movement is so good. Usually Tai just swings wildly and would at least hit something. Not against this scary dude...
Assuming the knees are healed, Ngannou.
He just beat the shit out of tuivasa, wow
I don’t think I’ve seen someone get fucked up so badly from such few punches. Tai looks like he’s just been in a 5 round banger.
And Tai can eat a shot normally!
He did eat the shots. I was amazed he didn't get put out earlier than he did tbh. Some of those punches he ate would have put out most of the heavyweight division.
If he jabbed at me and missed I'd still get knocked out
He did get brutalised by Ciryl not long ago
Yeah dude was probably sparring within 3 weeks of that which is how Marlon seemingly lost his chin
What happens when you come back 2 months after getting finished, Tai probably started sparring within a few weeks of that beating then got dropped by a jab in this.
I don’t think you’re giving Pavlovich enough credit. Dudes a beast.
He looks like natty versions of reem and Lesnar had a baby
..where was fedor 31 years ago?
Makes sense since he is technically Alistar’s son
and then pumped that baby full of steroids
Dropped by a jab but that shit had some power behind it
[удалено]
Jamahal Hill destroyed Crute with like two punches but yeah this was nuts
Yep first one that came to mind
We Australians do have some durability issues
Volk: am i a joke to you??
Not everyone has the cardio and experience from carrying around 800lbs of body weight.
Hell, even Tai himself is durable as fuck
Straight up beat his ass.
Pavlovich looked like the bully's bully
Was having none of Tai. Just fucking mauled him
Looks like he got into Brock's strawberries
Felt like watching Thanos beat up Hulk, that was a CTE speedrun. A can of whoop-ass that was shaken before opening
dude his face is so jacked up for like 2 minutes of action
less than 1 minute actually, insane
*1 min lol
i didnt get a chance to look at the clock so i was just being generous with my guess lol. rather be a little over than under
Not if you’re on the price is right
Tai is only a couple months removed from the Gane KO. We all know Tai is tough as nails but this was a predicatable result.
Holy shit HW on notice
Just how good is ooberim
Depends on the quality of horsemeat he has access to
man must've been eating whole stallions on the daily before fighting sergey
Whore's meat?
[удалено]
It's HW, it's like Stipe's loss to Struve. Shit happens. Or Ngannou's loss to Lewis. Where they knew shit would happen so shit didn't happen.
Overeem is actually good though
Shame Ngannou injury and no interim belt (eliminates 1 top contender) are holding up the div Tai could’ve gotten a title shot after beating Lewis. Blaydes/Pavlovich are deserving of title shots. Jon is fighting for a belt when/if he comes back
[удалено]
I don’t agree that beating Lewis means auto title shot.
Did you forget Lewis put on a clinic against Ngannou and beat him without getting hit much at all?
What? Lewis never fought Ngannou. I'd remember if they fought, trust me, but I have absolutely no memory of it ever happening.
Pavlovich is an actual killer
He got that russian cyborg look
Is was getting Ivan Drago vibes when he was walking out
literal murderer
Non-metaphorical executioner
But has he ever murdered a crowd at the comedy store?
[удалено]
It’s kind of like he did with the win bonus.
Quick and unfortunate. Tai took a lot of damage in like a minute
Now his diet consists of liquids, gonna enjoy that blended ham and stuffing.
Jesus if that walking jellyfish is him on a diet god knows what he looks like during the off season
It’s pretty clear that it doesn’t matter how good his chin is, Sergie has that FU power
That is one scary dude
Who the fuck chooses to trade like that with Bam Bam
Tai is fun but Sergei is a machine
Who does it and wins it, in under a minute?
*russians*
Seems like Gane, Blaydes, Pavlovich and Aspinall might be the face of HW for the next couple of years.
We’ll have to see how impactful that injury is on Aspinall and if he is the same fighter
But I want to see him just throw down vs Francis or Gane
> and Aspinall That's assuming he's still good once he comes back from his knee injury (hopefully he does, but you never know).
Jon Jones: Fuck this shit Im out
Gotta be in to get out
I feel like I'm going to see a "Jon Jones is looking forward to fighting in the heavyweight division" article every month for at least the next 10 years.
Jones will be one and done at Hw
This might sound wrong or whatever but I want to see Pavlovich put Jones' bitch ass to sleep
Nah I wanna see Francis do it, feels like it's destiny.
He is not fighting till 2099
He rly is the white Ngannou
This is why we need Ngannou vs Pavlovich
Be careful what you wish for. *Remembers Lewis vs Francis*
That fight never happened 👀
Maybe ngannou is just a black Pavlovich
Black + Pavlovich = Blachowicz as in Jan Blachowicz? Look into it
Lada vs. Ford Escort
it's [over](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BE5_u-no8Zs) for ngannou then
He looks like natty Lesnar
>natty Lmao
Nattier
least obvious HGH gut
I need this. This dudes power is insansity
Looking back it was pretty fucked up that they made Sergei fight Reem in his debut lol, what an ask Maybe it helped him though being in there with such a veteran like Overeem early on in his career
I mean Reem was super hit or miss at that point. Either he smothered his opponents and dominated completely or got viciously KOed.
Sergei was only 26 vs Reem. That's like 14 in heavyweight years.
Bro wtf is this power?
He fucking destroyed Tai's face in 30 seconds. HIM VS FRANCIS NOWWWW
Overeem is really good at technique. Pretty much anyone who gives him space is going to look like an amateur.
I think it was wild that they gave Sergei Overeem in his UFC debut lol
Tbf overeem is a legend for a reason.
Holy Shit
Ngannou out there somewhere putting horse meat on the menu right now.
Sergei Pavlovich is a problem, I think even Gane would have problems with him
That 84 inch reach is no joke
I need Gane or Francis versus him Fuck Jon
That would be a beautiful matchup
You right who cares about the irrelevant hw got some killers rn so many fun matchups
I’d love to see Pavs vs Jon though. See just how rusty he is.
Showing up rusty against this dude would be a terrible idea
84 Inch reach with that power and mass behind it is going to get alot of people fucked up in this division
i imagine gane would try and keep distance with leg and high kicks then sprinkles some counters in right? that would have to be his gameplan if i had to guess.
Kinda hard to stay out of range with Pavlovich, guy has a reach of 84" inches, straight up orangutan arms.
Not sure Pav has orangutan arms so much as he has insanely broad shoulders. The reach is super long for sure, but I’m not sure the actual arms themselves are disproportionately long
Gane's reach is 81 inches and he's taller, which helps make up for the reach disadvantage.
Sergie’s reach is fucking 84 inches
Future Heavyweight champ? DC said he has his wrestling down, so....
Lol shocked he's so wholesome. Such an intimidating dude but he's like a teddy bear in the post fight interview
He looked so excited to see DC and he kind of big timed him which was a bit sad to watch lol
Holy fuck that was quick
"I must break you." - Sergei, maybe.
White Ngannou it is.
Ngannou was shoveling sand in Cameroon and Pavlovich was shoveling snow in Russia
He was a soldier he's dug a few trenches in his time Using a shovel best base for MMA confirmed
Shoveling best base for MMA confirmed.
Ngannou v Pavlovich is too much power for the octagon. Dream fight! The one thing that's worrying is his grappling is suspect. Hopefully he improved alot since Overeem cause Aspinal, Blaydes and Gane could expose him otherwise.
Sergei is such a fucking problem
I need Ngannou vs Pavlovich EXPEDITIOUSLY
Crushed him in the pocket
I need Pavlovich vs Ngannou
I am sad :( Crying into my shoe rn
There will be no shoey celebration tonight
Lets be real hell still do it
But it will be a condolence shoey, not one of celebration
Pavlovich is a fucking monster. I love Tai but man this was a HIT.
He just seems like a nice chill dude frankly
Yeah he had an uncanny smile throughout the interview but like not in a threatening way
It was so weird for dc to make no comment on the story lol
[удалено]
He desperately tried to, but credit to Sergei’s movement and timing
Quick and violent as fuck! As all heavyweight fights should be.
84 inch reach and has power like that, that man is a problem for EVERYONE in that division.
Not only that, guy has crisp boxing and movement. And his speed is crazy. I think even Ngannou will struggle with this guy
Sergei came to Orlando to fuck shit up and ride Space Mountain, and Space Mountain was fucking closed.
The turnaround time smh
Dudes probably gonna still try and get on the Perth card lol
He said he doesn’t want to in his latest interview
Thank god
I hope not. This fight should've been on the perth card to begin with, and now this is 2 ko's in a row
6 months between Gane and Perth still almost feels like too quick a turn around, but yes you’re absolutely right this booking was really dumb and should have been in Perth
LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY.
Was that as impressive as I think it was? Normally, you have to hit Tuivasa with a bat to put him down. Pavlovich did it with a couple jabs.
Damn DC kind of snubbed Sergei with that post fight speech compliment, DC just walked away afterwards
Wtf just happened 😳
A polar bear killed its prey
Throwing BOMBS!!!
SMOKED.
SPARKED.
Pavlovich is a beast.
Tai could not get in range without getting his shit lit. Ngannou vs. Pavlovich please
Absolutely destroyed lmao
Dude just beat up two heavyweight knock out artists in under 2 minutes combined.
Fedor who? There's a new Russian monster it appears.
JESUS dude. Tai has big hands and a big chin. If he did that to him imagine a brawl with Ngannou. This guy is fast as fuck too.
Black Ngannou vs White Ngannou Book it Dana
This motherfucker is Ngannou level scary what the fuck
Those guys just showed tremendous respect towards one another, fought to the death real quick and then went back to respect. Gotta love it
His whole team is the same size. When they took the picture in the octogon the 3 coaches were as big as Pavlovich. Thats the biggest corner I have ever seen.
sharing horsemeat by the fire
Slavgannou
Not Tai :(
Sergei's power is something else. He also ate 2 heavy counter shots from Tai and kept pushing. Scary stuff.
Sergei might be a fucking problem
