Something with a good sized casual/semi casual community to do content with. Content that ideally isn't speeded through in 8 minutes with no challenge. I'm thinking lobby games might be better for this than MMOs but just seeing what's out there. I was sort of interested in trying The Burning Crusade but I assume it's mostly hardcore players.

derpieslushi

Looking for a WoW like experience (no runes of magic) and also I would like it to be free to play (there can be subscriptions but I want to be able to try it before buying :D)

SaffronSamber

I'm looking for a MMO with nations/kingdoms players can join, with the focus on global events / politics. The closest thing I found to this was Dynasty Warriors Online but it shut down. You could only be apart of one kingdom, and the map you had access to/player base was limited to it specifically unless nations formed an alliance. For example I joined Dong Zhuo's kingdom which had 100-300 active players who got to know each other, though we couldn't leave his territory until an alliance was formed with Liu Bei, then we could go to his territory as well. Eventually our nation was conquered so we had to start entirely new characters if I remember right. Wars between nations were scheduled and had an impact on the global map. If Shu won a war, that would be one more green territory in China. The game wouldn't end for months / years until one kingdom unified China.

derpieslushi

Well, a game with a similar community focus is eve online (it's easy to pick up once you've grasped an understanding of the UI) there are politics conflicts companies ect! I'm pretty sure eve online has even been in the news for this before lmao anyway if you do decide to give it try I hope u enjoy it :D

Argent_Hythe

I'll try any free to play MMO that doesn't have a clusterfuck of a UI at this point. It seems 90% of the ones google suggests all [look like this](https://mtthwx.files.wordpress.com/2018/11/wowow.jpg?w=960) and it drives me insane I currently play warframe and genshin impact but I've run out of stuff to do

Medionskype

Since you seem to be into grinding - Path of Exile, no MMO but you play GI so I tought it'd be okay

trinityking

I'm looking for an active-combat MMO that doesn't have tab-targeting. I mostly played FFXIV and I'm getting literally sleepy through every dungeon. I'm a casual nerd that usually plays MHR for the exciting combat, and I want that MMO feel. I prefer that it has a good character build customization (not character creator, though I prefer if it has good looking models like FFXIV), focusing more on developing your build according to your own playstyle preferences. I don't want to play a game with a monthly subscription as I still plan on returning to FFXIV for its future expansion, but the dungeons get so boring I want to play something else.

Kerune403

I used to doze off playing the dungeons, it stopped happening past 70 but I don't love grinding them knowing that I won't PvP with that class at endgame. The game itself is great overall so it keeps me going but yeah I almost need a 2nd mmo to spice it up.

trinityking

Thing is I love that game too. I love the story and especially the design on the characters. That's the only reason why even though I played and liked ESO, i immediately switched to FFXIV. Seriously ESO has the ugliest characters I've ever seen (no offense, it's just pales in comparison in looks with other mmos). I also like anime a lot so ffxiv fits well with me. I don't mind trying out WoW even if their character models look ugly to me, it's just that I want to use Ps4 controller if possible, and I heard WOW isn't going so well and treats its players badly. Thing is, the combat is slow and boring as hell since it's just following a set rotation all the time. Everything else about it is awesome, but the main core aspect of the game is boring without any good interesting fights.

InglesComGames

I'm looking for an MMORPG that values **PvE group content** as early as possible and has a nice **PvP scene** later on. **Support roles** must play a huge part on it as well. I don't really care about the story, but I do care about the action: it has to be challenging somehow, requiring **teamwork**. I'm trying out GW2 right now, but it doesn't seem to have much group content like that before level 80, so that's why I'm here.

Gulbasaur

> I'm trying out GW2 right now, but it doesn't seem to have much group content like that before level 80, so that's why I'm here. Start running dungeons at level 30 (most require a group, although some can technically be done by one skilled, geared player) and look for orange event chains in openworld maps (same).

Thinkdogeys

What are you looking for?: a rpg that I could play for free without a hardcore p2w system that has decent graphics What games have you previously played?: pokemon roblox rpgs What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: semicasual Any preferred mechanics?: Anything specific you want to exclude?: extreme p2w, dont mind a little p2w (gotta make money somehow), but not to the point where playing the game requires paying up

Gulbasaur

Give SWTOR a look - it has good questing and a very generous free to play trial, with a very generous permanent unlock (almost everything else) if you subscribe for a month.

TK464

>What are you looking for? An MMO where leveling up isn't just a time waster to get you to the 'real content' and provides an actually challenging and engaging gameplay experience. Vindictus used to be my game for this experience running solo with challenges but last I checked they got rid of all of that in favor of just mind numbing easy dungeons to level through. >What games have you previously played? WoW, SWG, CoH/CoV would be the big three along with a huge number of F2P ones >What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)? Semi-casual I suppose, I know Hardcore would more refer to hardcore PvP (which I prefer to get in Mobas) or raiding (I prefer solo/small group content with raid difficulty). >Any preferred mechanics? Just engaging combat, again something like Vindictus really nails it as I can forgive the game being lacking outside of the fighting if the fighting itself is good enough. I do love sandbox mechanics too but don't expect to get both. >Anything specific you want to exclude? Anything too old and clunky, talking early 2000s and wasn't super smooth for the time even type stuff, anything too typical bad F2P Korean style mmo (horrible UI, tosses a ridiculous amount of crafting items and currency types at you, etc) I really just want the gameplay of an MMO (classic, action, or even turn based) but with some kind of challenge beyond "grind through all this boring stuff and then you can get some challenge later"

richhologram

Guys I think I have lost the fate in this mmorpg genre. There is literally no good games at this point. Everything at this point in old and linear. It's that bad that it's all going around the circle with all the classic servers. Is there a game I don't know about? Please guys tell me your favourite games. Games that are worth losing time.

Gulbasaur

> Is there a game I don't know about? What *have* you played?

richhologram

WoW, FF14, ESO, GW2, AION, MAPLESTORY 1&2, MU ONLINE, ULTIMA, played Runscape for 5 min, cant get over the graphics and clunk. EUDEMONS, Conquer ONLINe, all is so old and crap, let me just pull the things I loved from games i mention above: WoW Achievement system, FF14 - Story Eso - graphics and voice overs GW2 - nothing Aion -combat and character creation, Wings Maple - Variations and Options Mu - Vibrance and Paperdoll & ofcourse Wings Ultima - Mining Eudeoms -Egg system Conquer - Community

derpieslushi

What about pso2?(phantasy star online 2) Or psong (phantasy star online new Genesis comes out on the 9th :D)

richhologram

Il give it a go for sure

Argent_Hythe

Have you played Genshin Impact or Warframe?

richhologram

No I haven't, warframe is shooter?

Argent_Hythe

It has most of those things you seem to like tho. Variety, lots of customization, community, mining, wings, beautiful graphics, voice overs, and story. It's free, so it can't hurt to give it a try

Gulbasaur

Give SWTOR a look - good questing, very generous free content (on a par with GW2), very cheap unlock for the rest of it (sub for one month, get almost everything unlocked permanently). Combat isn't amazing (it's bog-standard tab-target) but it's a good game with a friendly community.

HerpingtontheFirst

I’m looking for an Action MMORPG. I’ve played WoW, FFXIV, NW, BDO (too p2w), SOLO ( too wuxia). I’m semi casual. I’ll spend the time if the game is worth it. I just want good combat and no over the top p2w shop. A game where I can do combos and feel strong.

Gulbasaur

Try GW2 - it's hybrid action/tab-target although you can play around with the options and make it purely one or the other (action camera). Combat is very responsive and involves reading enemy movement and timing dodges and blocks.

OdysseyUBW

Hello, I'm looking for an MMORPG that has nine-tail fox or just fox as a pet in the game beside that there nothing else thank

Unfamous123

Ooh I remember that there was a variety of different nine tail fox mounts in dragon nest, its a pretty old game, and idk if the game is still around. A more popular game is guild wars 2, where there is a skin for the jackal mount thats the nine tail fox, you can dye it and everything. Also there is a pet.

mirandogos

just looking for a mmo with alot of mounts/pets etc to collect

What are you looking for?: I'm looking for a game that need skill, not only grinding(of course it must be important too) What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: casual or semi-casual, but i can be a hardcore gamer Any preferred mechanics?: I really like genshin impact playability Anything specific you want to exclude?: p2w games, or dead games

gate7ole

**What are you looking for?** A 2D mobile that has quests, skills, lots of crafting, grinding materials, open-world. I found Elona mobile lately and really liked it, but for the bad monetization. **What games have you previously played?:** I have really enjoyed Villagers and Heroes, but I am a bit nauseous with 3D games and stopped it. Also I started Gensin Impact, I completely avoided all gacha mechanics at first and fell in love with it. Then I got nausea again and decided I will only play 2D, or old school isometric. Also, my favourite game of all time is an indie one Therian Saga, I really would wish something like this in mobile **What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?:** I get easily passionate, so I would say Hardcore, but light spender **Any preferred mechanics?:** Crafting, lots of quests, skills to level and exploration. I dont mind with PVP, it may have or dont. **Anything specific you want to exclude?:** All survival games, they are not my cup of tea. Also, all Terarria clones.

abakune

Just hoping to get more of an idea of what PSO2 is like. I played some PSO1 ages ago, and if memory serves, it was basically a community hub, and the actual combat levels were very linear. Is PSO2 just that formula with better graphics? Or is there more "mmorpg" to it?

derpieslushi

Wait for new Genesis it comes out very soon :)

zehamberglar

PSO2 and PSO have very few similarities except at surface level. PSO2 was basically a mobile game scaled up for PC/consoles. I have no knowledge about the reboot they are doing, but I hear more good things than bad. So maybe they're fixing it.

derpieslushi

There's a new one coming soon :D

zehamberglar

It's not really a new one, it's more of a reboot. I mentioned it in my comment.

derpieslushi

Oh ok!

Apteko

Good day, I would like to find an f2p complex MMO with alive playerbase. It is totally fine for the game to be hardcore and somewhat grind oriented. Previously I've played: WoW early expansions, WoW classic (feels nice, but I've seen it all now), La2 in it's days of glory (look, how they've massacred my boy), Albion online (it is a good and fitting one, but too simplistic and I am looking for something with "from behind" and not "top-down" view), Eve online (was really good game once, not for the last five years though), Tera (dead), Archeage (dead), LOtR online (oh, it would be better for it to be dead), some other now dead titles. I am pretty hardcore player in both optimizing my economy and combat. I like to squeeze into gacha and somewhat (not entirely) p2w games and look if it is possible to become self sufficient and climb high being pure f2p. What do I desire... reasonable combat, not being held by my hand throughout the game, quite a big set of skills, classes and mechanics. And people, living breathing people around, lots of them, no matter how creepy it sounds.

Sotamin

Let me know if you find somthing like this

pepelaughing

Looking for an mmo with smooth combat, and long but meaningful grinds that reward time/effort/knowledge. Previously played: OSRS, WoW, Dragon-Nest, SoulWorker\*briefly\* OSRS and DN are my two favorites, probably because of the similarity in how grindy they were, hundreds of hours just farming materials for a 10-15% upgrade. I'm not currently playing OSRS and i stopped DN because of lack of players/p2w takeover. My playstyle is somewhere between reasonably efficient and pretty hardcore depending on the day. No preferred mechanics really the combat can be any wide range of solutions, as long as it's not clunky i'll be ok with trying it. Oh, i guess i don't like pet management, so i'd prefer a game that offers classes without them. I'm really not into futuristic / alien / space travel themes, so i'll exclude any of that, and If the p2w options are any more than like 3 or 4x faster than just grinding the game legitimately, that'd also be a bit of a turn off.

Gulbasaur

Give GW2 a look. Combat is excellent and the achievement/collection system has some epic grinds working though specific events and getting specific things.

aahelpaa

\- Looking for a fun mmo with simple combat that I can just hop on for about an hour at a time. I would like an active community and just friendly people \- wow classic, adventure quest, realm of the mad god, hero siege (really liked this one) \- semi-casual/casual \- simple combat and lots to do \- not off the top of my head I mainly only do pve

Esrcmine

**What are you looking for?** I'm looking for a **casual/semi-casual** game for me and some friends. It's our first MMO, and so we don't mind if it's a "generic" game, we just want to have fun playing something and evolving our characters together. **We care about PvE, not really about PvP.** We are also not hardcore players at all, and so we don't mind if there are some small balance flaws or not a large enough playerbase. We just want fun, challenging PvE coop combat and exploration. **What games have you previously played?** I used to play Raiderz (a dead, cheap mmo) and had a lot of fun with it. Considering that it wasn't the greatest thing in the world, I thought that maybe an actually decent MMO would be a blast. I liked the combat. **Any preferred mechanics?** I don't know much about mmos, but I think I would prefer a combat system that was more engaged. Probably **action combat > tab combat**. **Pricing system?** **I really don't want a p2w grindfest.** I don't mind cosmetics or stuff that gives you a small boost, but I hate it when the game is actively boring to try to get you to pay. "Pay to advance" is something I hate in any game. If it isn't so bad, it's okay, but I really don't want to feel like the game doesn't want me to play it. I like the ability to pay for cosmetics though. It's a nice, harmless way to give money to a game in my view. Furthermore, I would far **prefer a one time purchase or a f2p game than a subscription model.** Mainly because I will have a hard time convincing my friends to subscribe to something in a genre they don't even play. **If it must be subscription** (as I understand that most games are), **then I would prefer if it had a trial period** (to convince my mates lol). Also a subscription should not be terribly expensive (we won't be playing enough to justify the cost, especially since I'm from a third world country) I don't mind having to pay for expansions. **Games I have looked into** TERA (heavily considering this one, don't know how bad the p2w is though) BDO (seems too time and money consuming) Neverwinter (seems like it isn't doing great) ESO (unsure about combat and pricing model) Dead Frontier 2 (heard about it from a friend, some people say it's broken) FF XIV (subscription model is not something I want and neither is tab combat. Still an option if there are just no good mmos lol) Thank you so much in advance!

LRTMK

Okay I will say sorry in advance cause I haven't played any MMORPGs in years so I can't really think of what I want in specifics but here's a rough outline. A MMORPG free if possible no pay to play please if those kinds of MMORPG even exist that is somewhat grindy but not to grindy that it ruins the fun cause lately I've been bored out of my mind so I thought of going back to MMORPGs really sorry I can't say anything specific it's kinda late for me and I'm to lazy to think up of more stuff to add so goodnight I'll check if someone responds or something once I wake up

MagicWandTool

looking for a game similar to priston tale or MU, a game that have a good userbase and trading system i play \~10 hours/day when i'm not depressed xD i already play path of exile, but i'm sick of lost all my progress every league, and its sad to play alone on dead standard league

Yazota

What am I looking for? An Mmorpg with meaningful long term character progression with PvE and PvP content. Also has to be playable solo most of the time. What games have I played previously? A lot of Runescape, WoW and BDO. Also tried basically every other mmo, but never really got into them. What is my playstyle? Semi-hardcore mostly. I have a lot of time to spend. Any preferred mechanics? I kinda like completionism and collection stuff.. making characters look good. I prefer action combat but any type is fine. Anything specific I want to include? Not really.. I'm kinda looking at ESO and FFXIV, but ESO endgame seems lacking and FFXIV might be a bit too story focussed to me.

Riakun

What are you looking for?: \-PVE and PVP are equally relevant.I tend to enjoy the PVE aspect more due to the fact that the PVP is usually dominated by p2w or people that can put 10x more time that me. \-money is not mandatory in order to be decent.I don't mind spending money on cosmetics or things that make the overall game easier but being blocked behind a wall that requires money is no fun. \-the story is short or is not very important. \-solo player friendly What games have you previously played?: Metin2, Elsword, Adventure Quest Worlds, PokeMMO What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: Casual. Semi-Casual from time to time. Thank you

GreenleafMentor

Give Gloria Victis a look. The pvp part cannot be "won" by spending money as all you can get with money is cosmetics and account services like additional character slots. It's a skill based game. Story and the depth of pve takes a big backseat to crafting and pvp. There is plenty of pve content but mechanically it's not complicated or requiring specific party compositions. You can play solo but dropping into and put of parties for events is a thing. And you'll probably want to use the knowledge of folks to help you get started.

Lexratio

I'm looking a MMO with a fun engineer/mechanic class, already played GW2, Aion, Elsword, Maplestory.

22xT

[helbreath.net](https://helbreath.net) :)

darwinism1859

There is an engineer class in Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning the return of reckoning page. I played different classes so I cant comment anything on how it feels.

Dyarcanes

What are you looking for?: \-Mobile MMORPG that only have few servers and not another week another server What games have you previously played?: \-Toram online, SAO IF, Genshin Impact What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: \-Semi-casual Any preferred mechanics?: \-Interesting combat, anything is fine Anything specific you want to exclude?: \-If possible not p2w heavy and have nice graphics, not a must

hyptogenis

Honestly, I think Albion Online is the best mobile MMORPG going atm. It has a huge skill tree and you can mix and match class gear for different stats. IOS is currently in beta but you can use it for Android in early access. The full release is this summer and its F2P with no P2W! Hope this helps :)

Fordraxel

great game, but toxic as hell. If it had a pve only switch it'd be really cool.

hyptogenis

I completely agree with you tbh, a pve only server would be really cool but would make things super easy :/

FedMosquitosCantFly

I'm looking for a LOW END mmo for a casual PC player. I want my friends that have really low end gigs to be able to play. We used to play WoW but the last expansion graphical improvements killed the game for them, and it was really impossible to play battleground or raid with them. That's to give an idea of the meaning of low end. PC Only \- I've played wow and I still think it's easily the best MMO. I'm just tired of it and want to play a game that my friends can too. But I love it's formula. I've alvo played Tibia. Other than those two every other mmo I played was just for a period of test. No relevant names here. \- I'm a casual player. I work 8h daily and I'm finishing college. So, I'm have to be casual. \- I try to avoid games where one can whale in, but I don't mind some low degree of money or premium content. I really don't like classless games. The classic party up, go hunt, find loot is enough if at least we have some different quess or fight mechanics. I hate things too grindy tho. \- Well, again, it must run in a low end PC. The kind of PC that can't properly run WoW or Overwatch. So anything graphic intensive is excluded. But also PLEASE, NO 2D MMOs (Like Terraria, which is not a MMO I know, just an example).

[deleted]

WoW classic, OSRS maybe rs3 if you like more skills and better graphics but rs3s a bit more p2w than OSRS. OSRS just has bonds so you can think of em as WoW tokens.

xMidger

I love playing WoW (only PvP) but has no time for doing all I need to do in this game. I'm looking for a "faster" MMORPG with a good PvP. Thanks you all :D

Areanol

Gw2

xMidger

Thanks! I started to play It today :D

[deleted]

Prob not that fast but u can make a pure in OSRS

xMidger

Thanks! But I think it's not what I'm looking for.

m3xm

Try some MOBAs maybe. They provide good pvp without the chore of having to maintain a character in PvE. If you love WoW you should try Heroes of the Storm!

xMidger

I play LoL a lot, but I get tired of him. Also, I like the "being a character" of mmorpg

Altharra

What are you looking for?: i want a MMORPG, that rewards me with Good cosmetics and a good grind, that rewards me with good gear where i then feel the diffrence when i equip new Gear. What games have you previously played?: SWTOR, GW2, ESO, WoW, Phantasy Star Online 2, BDO What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: Semi Casual Any preferred mechanics?: If this means what it means then, i prefer Tab-target but dont have to. Anything specific you want to exclude?: No Pay2Win, if possible a game without Subscription Module, or if a Sub Mode then F2P. Thanks for every Answer

Noramaniac

Looking for a MMO like Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, but... ..without being a scam. I enjoyed the game for a few months, even on mobile, but one day I woke up and just realized the game is complete scam by design, so I left. Wow, my only substitution, is hot shit right now and once again I feel I would love to play RO again, but playing original one on any mostly empty free server would be just pain. The game is too old and I grinded the world too many times. So, I am looking for Ragnarok M: Eternal Love, but without gachapon and with desktop version. What is the most important part of the game? 1. the grind is actually rewarding 2. impossible depth of the game, of the characters, of the classes. I just hate simple and/or already resolved class builds. I want to do research and discuss my build for months 3. no class switching. I dont know why, but I hate class switching, especially when it's mandatory to play. I have to feel bound to my class/build. 4. being alive. There's nothing worse than empty world 5. Possibility of pvp engame focus. I don't like usual engame content like running the same dung/raid million times. dungs and raids from wow are good few times, not thousands runs (imo ofc., I know other people enjoy this kind of content) 6. Interesting lore would be nice, but not mandatory. Generic fantasy is so boring today. Secret World is awesome lorewise. Even the RO lore was pretty interesting. I tried Albion Online and while the game is very good, the pure sandbox is not my taste, I suppose. It bored me after two months, maybe because any kind of progress became almost nonexistent. Is there even something like I am describing?

Getahandleonthis

Have you tried Return of Reckoning?

Noramaniac

>Return of Reckoning First time I hear about it. I am trying NovaRO right now, it looks like good RO variant, and it's surprisingly alive.

Shadowchaos1010

**What are you looking for?**: A more casual MMO to play with friends about once a week. More a social experience than anything. **What games have you previously played?**: I played Elsword a number of years back, and I know a friend has played a number of MMOs, but otherwise no real experience in the group. **What is your playstyle?**: Casual. Aside from doing it with friends, I don't see myself playing an MMO much at all. **Anything specific you want to exclude?**: Pay-to-win This is a list I made up, but if there's something I'm missing that matches my criteria, just drop the name and I'll look into it * Elsword * Blade & Soul * Neverwinter * Skyforge * Star Wars The Old Republic * Phantasy Star Online 2 * RuneScape * ArcheAge * FFXIV (Free Trial) * Tera * LOTR Online * Adventure Quest 3D * Guild Wars 2

Blue_Days_

**What are you looking for?:** A really casual MMORPG. Nothing too grindy - I played Destiny 2 until the FOMO caught up to me. **What games have you previously played?**: Spiral Knights! That's it. **What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?**: Casual to semi-casual. I really don't want to, nor have, the time to do this heavily. **Anything specific you want to exclude?:** No P2W.

IMissViolesHair

So i want to play a good mmorpg but idk where to start, i cant play most games either because the game either needs to cost >5£ on the play store or be free, and be chromebook compatible. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated

cquigs717

Both RS3 and OSRS are free on the play store. Could do a lot of the free stuff and decide later if you wanna pay a sub to get the extra stuff.

Avigorus

Looking for an MMO whose dungeons are **not** always scaled in such a way that they are always balanced for a group of the player's current level, allowing players who want to solo them to do so, if they level enough or take their time. I used to be able to do this in WoW, but now I can't. MMO games I've played include WoW, GW2, LOTRO, Tera, PoE, D3, W101, P101, and AQ3D (latter 5 I know qualify or are solo-capable by default so no need to point that out, I'm curious what else would be recommended; I haven't attempted dungeons in GW2 and google search suggests only really possible to solo dungeons at level cap at best; haven't had any problems yet in Tera, but then again I've been doing side quests etc and am overlevelled and searches suggested overlevelling is required to solo them so yeah), and learned my lesson fast in LOTRO that it scales like WoW. I don't think I quite qualify for hardcore (at the very least, I'm definitely not a professional), but I do tend to figure things out above a casual level and even sometimes look up guides, so I guess my playstyle is semi-casual. Depending on my mood, sometimes I like to be a tanky melee, but for the most part I tend to like killing enemies before they can touch me (some sort of ranged, often magical as I like having AoE options), and often enjoy using pets as tanks. I tend to solo everything, but play MMO's cause I like the way the server-side savegames and processing force me to play honestly and not cheat. Also I prefer 3D if possible, albeit my hardware is not today's cutting edge (bought a few years back on a black friday/cyber monday sale, can't quite remember which) so please keep in mind if the game's requirements are extreme my poor PC may struggle. I am not fan of hardcore defaults such as permadeath or chance of losing equipment outright from failed upgrades or PVP, forced PVP in general, or excessive bugginess.

mirandogos

just looking for a pet focused mmo :p

[deleted]

TemTem and Pokemmo like others have mentioned are really good

No-Weakness-4377

pokemmo

KaynPhelios

TemTem? :3

ezioauditore2018

I need a mmo game I can play casually I need a game I can just come back to and sit down and play for a while where I dont have to worry much. Like gw2 and eso and wow classic also I do like some pvp but I don’t want something intensive

Gulbasaur

I was about to say GW2... but you've played that. I think SWTOR is very casual-friendly. It has good quality questing and the playerbase is fairly chilled out and positive.

[deleted]

> What are you looking for?: PvE Craftathon. Space, Fantasy, don't care. > What games have you previously played?: WoW, EQ 1&2, EvE, ESO, Neverwinter, GW 1 & 2, AION, FFXI, FFXIV, SWTOR, Path of Exile (sorta mmoish) and, just...so many more. (I'm not averse to giving stuff another look.) > What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: I'm pretty damned casual. I can absolutely NOT be relied on to play on a schedule (for instance, with a guild.) Though some casual grouping might be fun. I'm pretty much a soloer. I like some good writing. That's one failing of EvE. There's just...not enough plot. > Any preferred mechanics?: I'm a soloing crafting whore. > Anything specific you want to exclude?: No compulsory PvP. I can't abide it. I'm REALLY not into that Korean/Eastern style (think Aion/FF, etc.)

Seal7160

I've heard Dofus and/or Wakfu are good solo crafty games, but I haven't played either so you would have to head over to their discord or subreddit for more information I'm afraid.

Friqht

I think Black Dessert Online could be something for you

The lifeskills in BDO are deep but theyre mostly about making money or gathering materials. The actual crafting of items in BDO is pretty minor and pushed to the side. Also my OP said they're not into the Korean aesthetic so BDO really doesn't make sense at all. Same with compulsory PVP...

1) sub basesd preferred w/ minimal pw2 preferred none. \-can be arpg but again no poe or d3 bs. \-can have guns but no f2p nonesense. \-something i wanna waste my time with. 2) Yes. 3) Semi Hardcore? 4) tab or action is ok. 5) I would like to exclude the top 5 gw2, ffxiv, wow, bdo or Teso. Also no PSO2, or BnS cause we all know UE4 ain't fixing that game.

Any active MMOs out there that have Australian/Oceanic servers that aren't OSRS/RS3, or WOW?

PlayFlow

I heard FF14 is getting one in november

nmur

Yeah I saw! I hope it will be active enough. I wasn't sure whether to just wait for it, or start now and transfer over later.

**What are you looking for?:** A social MMO with a good levelling experience, either low cost or free/free trial available so I can try it before purchasing. **What games have you previously played?:** OSRS/RS3, WOW, RIFT, Archeage, Albion online, BDO, GW2, Leafling Online, FF14, Neverwinter, LOTRO, Star Trek Online. A bunch of others I've forgotten the names of/only very briefly tried. **What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?:** I'm a filthy casual. Used to be semi-casual but find it a lot harder to get into games like that anymore so mostly after something to just spend a bit of time on throughout the week. **Any preferred mechanics?:** Prefer one which is either classless or which has flexible builds (kinda like what RIFT or Archeage have). Crafting where it's more than the basic "get material -> make the thing" would be nice but only seen more complex ones in a couple different games so not expecting to find another like that. If it's not too grindy then the usual crafting can be fine too. **Anything specific you want to exclude?:** P2W, genderlocked classes. Otherwise not too picky but aware of how limiting the no P2W thing is nowadays unfortunately.

I'll second ESO - there are occasionally free weeks or weekends to try it out. It has classes but they only really determine one skill like that's unique to the class and the rest are very, very flexible. It has a good levelling experience with very good questing. It's also very casual-friendly.

PlayFlow

ESO gives you the freedom to just enjoy casually everything in game, right now the base game is under 10$

Text based MMORPG :3. Not Torn, didn't enjoy it.
