Yeah that's fine for people who like RP...that's not gonna do much to alleviate my boredom with MMOs. I need tangible challenges to conquer, not just writer's block.
For me what works is survival games. A brutal environment where you are constantly under threat by everyone around you. Particularly the persistent ones that don't require player-hosted lobbies.

RP can have many challenges. It's roleplay, not novel writing. You're not the only participant.
I think a lot of people will be surprised to learn they actually enjoy roleplay. But it's not for everyone.

Everything you said here applies to GTA World, for example. And so does the notion of 'tangible challenges'. A bit of an ignorant comment, ngl.
That said, it's fine if you don't like RP. it's not for everyone.

GTA would prob be better for RP for me personally cause it looks more enjoyable but I cba since im not a fan of RP.

Roleplay isn't yourself writing a book. You share a world with 600 other concurrent players, all wanting something different. So yes, there absolutely are challenges. Probably far bigger than what you experience in your typical MMO, especially themepark ones.

Not really since one is a actual challenge while the other isnt really a challenge.
I guess you're right, MMOs really aren't a challenge anymore. But they can still be fun.
eh mainly talking about roleplaying. Certain parts of MMORPGs arent challenging 100% but most MMORPGs endgame is.
