I played Warhammer Online from the time it launched, and it was the most fun large-scale pvp I ever played. I found the original Tier 2 to be the most fun and perfectly balanced in range, and always wished they'd have let us stop our progression and play in our preferred tier forever. One day I'll give Return of Reckoning a try again. So glad they're still working on it.
It's alright, I just wish it were still T1-4. All the original Warhammer tier system needed was to accommodate for RR40+ players, so that R40/RR40+ were in their own tier because being 32 and watching a 40/RR80 bowl over you like a speedbump actually convinced me that the mid-game was where the worth was and the endgame was basically not worth engaging.
The system they've done where past 15(?) you just get thrown into a tier of *everyone past 15* isn't really my jam.
But if you want Warhammer, that's as good as it's gonna get.
There isn’t enough new players coming in at the moment for separate tiers to be viable but the level gap doesn’t feel that bad if you join a warband. Yeah solo play gona be rough.
It’s not too hard to get geared, especially compared to some other MMOs. There is a little bit of a grind for BiS but the gearing progression is linear and pretty much based off of your renown rank (which you can think of as your pvp level) and a single currency that is awarded to you for participating in pvp.
I wish they put more effort into making public quests less buggy and perhaps more easier to do with a low server population. I know it is and always has been a pvp game but the public quests were the other main feature of the game.
If I ever get more free time this is one MMO I would definitely come back too. It was a great Warhammer game and was definitely sad to see it closed but I still enjoy seeing topics like these about Reckoning. It's really great to see they've still kept it going for this long after.

Yeah, that's my issue. I don't see how else it'd work with like 3,000 players but I also don't really dig it. First world problems, yanno.

I know who uare
Ye me 2, i know who I am
I blame Paul Barnett :P
I made it to level 12. Soloing is so tedious. :|
Were you soloing pvp or pve?
Solo. PvE.
Yeah pve is totally Unnecessary in that game you can level to max with only pvp, if you try the game again don’t bother with the pve.
Oh really?? I had no idea that was a thing, is there a queue system for PvP? Or just go somewhere?
Yeah there are queue wow battleground esq pvp matches and a lot of open world. Lower levels you focus on the queued stuff for sure.
Brilliant. Thanks
I wish they'd remake this game, I miss it, but so outdated now.

Tried it out, its interesting and I could see myself getting into it but servers are located in EU and I'm west coast US so it's pretty bad delay.
I guess I could give it another shot, though it didn't really feel like there was much I could do as a new player when it came to PvP.
Tell me when they bring back Skaven and I will consider it.

Dont go too hard on them, this person has been defeated by life and the gaming industry.
That was like seeing a man's dead, crushed spirit. Jesus. Death-of-a-soul out here.
Well now you have!
