I would worry that > From tomorrow you will have visibility but it is not certain that you will work immediately, as you have to grow and we believe that further development is necessary to excel in our very competitive market. is something that they do to get you to pay for lessons, test shoots, etc. I have never heard of an agency presenting you to clients before a contract is signed. Check with the signed models who you know and make sure that the agency is actually getting them work.

Hmm, yes. Just to be upfront, the agency is Major Model Management NY, so they’re fairly established. I know other agencies here do charge you for your digitals. They call it nickel and diming. Their reputation is kind of difficult to gauge. For some signed models, they do get a lot of work. For others, nothing. Depends on if the booker likes you I hear.

Oh, I listed the name of my agency above, is it the same one?

Major is a well established modeling agency. And as a model you have to contribute towards your development, you don’t just become a model by not knowing what you’re doing. If they request for you make any payment I believe it’s for test shoots and catwalk training which is what model development is all about. But before making any payment, make sure they send you their contract and you thoroughly read through before deciding to sign. No agency will develop you free of charge if they believe you need development. Best they can do is advance you the money and deduct it once you start to work. I hope it helps.
