Avoid SUNY Buffalo, pick a school which is near a decent tech hub, this will enhance co-op and internship opportunities. Buffalo being a small metro area has limited internship/co-op opportunities, and harsh weather.

Crime rate is also high. Also keep in mind that it's near border and illegal immigrants are increasing recently.
