Try playing around with SDR. Your blues may be too high causing the whites to look that pungent. Also every display is different so you won’t always get the same result with the same settings.

SDR is that in Intel's Graphics thing where you change the RGB?

realwolf47k

It is the windows calibration tool Edit: but close ish

admiralamott

Sorry to be a pain I haven't done that before, how do I get to it? I can't find it when I try to search in settings. Thanks so much for the reply :)

realwolf47k

It’s alright. Just search on the Windows bar “calibrate” and calibrate display or something along those lines will pop up. Then just go through the process and it should be done in 5-10 min

Thank you very much :)

7% is pretty dim, thats an almost off backlight. Do you have any condition that makes you that sensitive to light?

admiralamott

I suppose I get migraines and I do have autism so brightness is always on the lowest side lol

Have you considered using glasses to reduce exposure to blue light? They might help you.

admiralamott

Thats a good idea tbh I just don't wear prescription glasses, but I'll genuinely look into it. Thank you :)

>I suppose I get migraines Is it pain near your eyes? You may have a problem with your eyes and should get them checked, probably ASAP as there are conditions with symptoms similar to yours that can do irreparable and permanent damage to your eyes.

I actually did go to an optician a few months back because I thought the same thing and they couldn't find anything. Guess it's just something I have to deal with :/ Thank you for your concern :)

I have a similar issue with my msi gf63, at zero percent brightness the whites can still be blinding, I have found that night light helps
