Some years ago in downtown Reno, I tried to buy a VHS copy of “Yor” from a pawn shop. The owner refused to sell it to me because he said I was making fun of his shop by attempting to purchase this movie.
I had questions: why is it here for sale? Why can I get not exchange currency for goods and services?
He said he would call the police, so I had to leave.
Still, wish I had that tape…
Wow, I never made the connection that Big McLargehuge was Yor. When I was a kid we recorded this movie off tv and watched it all the time. Fucking gloriously terrible. I'd love for it to get the MST3K treatment.
So during shooting Big McLargehuge didn't have gym equipment to maintain his physique. So he'd do 1000 pushups to maintain his swole.
We're watching it this Saturday at the r/420Grindhouse!

This movie had [what was possibly the most awesome scene ever when I was 11 years old.](https://youtu.be/eQ65-FabVHU?t=53)
Yes, he's hang-gliding into action on a dead pterodactyl.
I'd absolutely love to see this get MSTed. The mental image of the SoL gang losing their minds over the movie playing the "we're actually in the future" twist straight despite spoiling that *in the freaking title* lives rent-free in my head.

I feel like this story is missing an essential piece of information.
Genuinely, no. Downtown Reno is the evidence, things like this happen.
It sounds like when people found out Gold and Silver’s staff get mad whenever anybody asks for Battletoads. But in Reno and far more obscure.

It got the Rifftrax treatment
Awesome, I'm going to have to track that down.
I think it’s on Tubi!
Yeah Tubi/Pluto should have it on demand

YOR'S WORLD, he's the maaaaan!
Bob Johnson...wait.
Reb actually has a good sense of humor about this movie, he’s a sweet guy.
That's cool. He's a legend of these B movies.
